How to get the " com.sun.xml.* " package?

In a java xml sample, it uses a class "com.sun.xml.tree.XmlDocument". Its author said it is a internal class.But I can't find the class in "com.sun" package. Please tell me how to get the class?

This set of classes was available in the J2ee.jar that was packaged with j2sdkee1.2.1, This set of classes is NOT in the j2ee.jar of the j2sdkee1.3.1. After we upgraded, we started to get these errors ... have no idea where/if these classes are still available as add on api or not. I downloaded the the java xml pack and this class is not available in any of the jars contained within.

com.sun.javadoc is not part of the normal JSE API.
It's part of some packages that come with the JDK that can be used to extend some JDK functionality.
It's delivered in tools.jar inside your JDKs lib directory.

I am using the dbms_xmlgen.getXMLfunction to get the result of any query in xml format.
With this XML I also want the metadata information about all the fields used in the query (passed to getXML function). Is it possible and how can I achieve this.
I tried to Google it but couldn't find any solution , it's easy to do it in java where I can get the resultset meta data from the resultset but I have to do it in Oracle function since I want the result in xml format and want to use the oracle XML API.
You may think why I need metadata , the reason is the application will later use this information to sort the data contained in these fields according to their data type provided to.

I would use DBMS_SQL utility to parse the query, extract each column's description and then build a METADATA element with the required information.

<li> I handle only four datatypes here (VARCHAR2, NUMBER, DATE, TIMESTAMP). Of course you can add more.

Starting with 11g (not sure which release), DBMS_SQL package also declares these numbers through named constants.
<li> I don't use DBMS_XMLGEN in this example. Instead I rebuild the query using SQL/XML functions and the list of columns that's just been described.

Apex_web_service.make_request throws ORA-29273: HTTP request failed. How to get the soap fault XML?

I am trying to call a web service using apex_web_service.make_request function.
It works fine when all the parameters are correct. However, when something is wrong in the request XML, it throws an exception instead of returning the soap:fault message:

I need to get back the soap:fault and parse it to display a proper error message to the users (e.g. what was wrong with the input), yet the call throws an exception instead of returning it.

   I've just run into this.
   If the webservice returns a fault, such as:
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><soap:Body><soap:Fault><faultcode>soap:Server</faultcode><faultstring>INVALID_REQUESTER_INFO</faultstring></soap:Fault></soap:Body></soap:Envelope>
   then the user gets presented with an unfriendly error message and there's no chance to output a more friendly one.
   The response above is seen when testing the webservice, when run from the Form/Report page, we get something like:
soap:ServerINVALID_REQUESTER_INFO
Contact your application administrator.
OK
   When OK button is clicked everything is rolled back and we don't even get the fault XML.
   It would be good if Apex could be optionally set to not give the unfriendly messages, so that we could code such a message ourselves.
   Unless anybody has a workaround for this, I guess that I'll have to see if I can code this in PLSQL.

I think the problem is that faults return a 500, and that
makes flex quit looking. If you can make the server return say a
200, then you can get the actual exception. Search the archives on
flexcoders, this was discussed extensively there.

System Admin -> support -> Support Desk->ROOT/WEB-INF/deployment/pcd (download this folder)
->com.sap.portal.admin.wizardframework.par.bak->extract the file
alternatively,

The very first time the appserver is started after installation , there are some internal classes that are generated for the timer bean during server startup. It looks like for some reason that did not happen and when the ejb container's timer bean tried to load it couldn't. Can you check the server.log to see if there are any codegen/timer-related errors during the first startup of the appserver?

I am writing a DOM parser and I need to print out the modified xml file. So I want to use the write funcition defined in the com.sun.xml.tree.XmlDocument library. But this package is NOT included in JAXP package. Where shall I get this com.sun.xml.tree.XmlDocument library?

You are WRITING an XML parser? Hopefully you meant that you were USING an XML parser. If you are using JAXP (which does include an XML parser) then you don't need that package to output XML. The example you got that idea from is obsolete.
If your question is "How to use JAXP to write XML from a Document object?" then this is a FAQ here. Perhaps the search function is working and you could find the answer in this forum; I recall that it involves creating a Transformer whose input is the Document and whose output is wherever you wanted the XML to go to.

This is a common problem that is a result of improper use of the JAXP libraries.
The com.sun.xml.tree package is an implementation package that was part of the JAXP 1.1 (I culd be wrong about the number) but is not part of the new versions that come with 1.4.
The person whoe wrote the code should never have used that package directly. In fact if you look at the Java docs for that package is specifically states not to use the classes directly.
Most likely the code uses the conm.sun.xml.tree.XmlDocument class to write a DOM document to a file.
If that is the case I can provide replacement code that will work in 1.4

Thanks in advance.It's a good thing you can't find it anyways, because it is not a standard class. Nothing from com.sun.* should be directly used - only java.*, javax.* (and other names that come with the JRE), your own packages, and true 3rd-party packages. com.sun.* doesn't fit any of those categories, they're internal classes (I'm pretty sure anyway).

I am working with Oracle JDeveloper 11g and an standalone Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3. I deployed a web service into the weblogic and when I try to execute a writing method, it throws the exception that says that I must put com.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAPFaultBuilder.disableCaptureStackTrace to false. I made several tests and I know that the problem is taking place into the weblogic. Anybody knows how can I put com.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAPFaultBuilder.disableCaptureStackTrace to false into the weblogic??

I found your post because I want to suppress the stack trace in my response of the web service. I put the -Dcom.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAPFaultBuilder.disableCaptureStackTrace=false parameter in the setDomainEnv.cmd in the bin directory of my domain. Maybe this is also a solution for you.
