I need to pick the field /sapapo/bophead-description using the tbtcp-variant. The tbtcp-variant is a dynamic value which will be generated during process run. How to relate these tables and fetch the data ?

Use the FM RS_VARIANT_VALUES_TECH_DATA and pass the report name and variant name from TBTCP . From the resulting table read the second entry where SELNAME column is VARIANT . You will get the variant . Pass this into table /sapapo/bophead and you can pick the needed records.

The network connection is unreliable and downloading the firmware update using PC Suite for my Nokia E90 proves difficult. Does anyone know how I can get the firmware version 300.34.84?
The trouble is Nokia's Software Updater does not accommodate any slight interruption to the connection during the update process. I will update this discussion with what version of PC Suite I have once I get that info.

In fact, it is not Possible to get the update file without using Nokia Software Updater or you should search the net to find the update files in another place and even you get them, you can not use them with NSU.
You can Update your Device with:
1 - NSU (Nokia Software Update)
2 - FOTA (Firmware Over The Air) for FP2 devices ONLY.
3 - Nokia Care Center
there is not other way to upgrade.

Quick question: How to get the scrolled page number using af:table

When using range paging on scrolled table, how to get the current scrolled page number(1,2,3...), for example when moving the table vertical scroll bar forward or backward, is there any method in ViewObjectImpl class that I can use to get such information? I have seen the method scrollToRangePage(int i), but when scrolled ("Fetching data..."), it doesn't not get into this method. So it is wrong usage for this method, right?

I am lakshman,I found the answer for my question,By using the Location API(jsr179).It was not include in the WTK2.2.for that i have downloaded the WTK2.3 then i have implemented the location api in the application and it was working.
And I have the following warning...

How to get the log information when using a class?

How to get the incoming file name using JMS adapter and SOAP adapter

   In one of my interface i need to get the file name of incoming flat file using JMS adapter at sender side. and then i am using xslt to convert it to IDOC and then posting to SAP IDOC.
my incoming filname are in this form price<DateTimestamp>.txt. when i do the tranformation this incoming file name should be part of one element in the IDOC which i am posting.
EX:

<REF>price<DateTimestamp>.txt</REF>
</IDOC>
Hope it is clear to everybody. I need your suggestion how i can capture this incoming file name and send it as part of IDOC.

Problem of this sort cry out for using regular expressions. It is what they were invented for. If the OP wanted the whole date parsed into a java.util.Date then it would be a different matter and SimpleDateFormat would be the way to go but extracting part of a string is what regular expressions are best at.

How to get the Report Page count using crystal reports 2008

Hi,
I have to implement a business logic where in i will have to display the no. of pages generated for the report
Say for e.g. crytal report that's generated spans 25 pages in the report.
Then i will have to display a message to the user after the report generation something like "25 Pages generated"
So, how would i get this report page count so that i can fetch the value and display the same to the user.
Any sample code snippet would be of great help.

I am using crystal reports 2008 and i visited the link forwarded in your previous mail and got the solution for getting the lastpagenumber of the report.
nPages = crReport.FormatEngine.GetLastPageNumber(New CrystalDecisions.Shared.ReportPageRequestContext)
but, i don't find FormatEngine property for ReportDocument object.
I just wanted to know whether this property is availale in crystal reports 2008 or should i even install any service packs for this.

unfortunately there isn't a standard way to do that (I asked to OSS some months ago), a part from navigating in tables RSZ* ... May be it's a good solution developing a program.
For example start from table RSZSELECT with IOBJNM = 0GL_ACCOUNT and OBJVERS = A. With the list of ELTUID enter table RSZELTXREF where TELTUID = ELTUID and OBJVERS = A. Then using SELTUID enter RSZELTDIR (or RSZELTXT).
Don't know if in the meanwhile something has changed ...

With 4.0, there is no longer a way to do this using just the .NET SDK because the ReportEngine SDK no longer exists for .NET. Instead, you'll have to look at using the RESTful Web Services SDK for Webi which runs in the Web Application Container Server on your report server (NOT on the web server!)
RESTful web services are platform-independent and don't require the installation of any SDK files. Everything is done through standard HTTP Get, Put, and Post commands and the results are returned in either XML or JSON format. You don't mention which service pack of 4.0 you're on, but the RESTful web services have evolved over the course of the 4.0 service packs, so more recent is definitely better.
You can find the documentation for this in the "Development Information" section at help.sap.com/bobip40. There is also a "space" on SCN for this at http://scn.sap.com/community/restful-sdk and there are some links on this page for various resources and sample code.

How could I get which Reports in discoverer Desktop are using a particular folder in Discoverer Administrator?
Or
How to know which Discoverer Desktop Reports are being derived from a folder in Discoverer Administrator?
We have Oracle 9i DS installed and have a Custom Folder Created in the Administrator, and want to know exactly which Reports/Workbooks are using that folder?

Well Abhijit,
The eul workbooks have been created by oracle specifically to analyze your eul and make your work easier!. So, I prefer this way to view the information about my eul in a report format in the desktop. Try it! you may like it.
If you want you can follow these steps:
Run the script called eul5.sql located in <discoverer_installation_path>\discoverer\util in the user who own the eul in the database.
Then import the eul5.eex file located at <discoverer_installation_path>\discoverer\ in the discoverer administrator.
Then login into desktop and open the reports in the database, you can see a report called[b] EUL Workbook Management. Open that and goto the sheet named Workbook Dependency - Folders & Items Lookup. I think it the last but one worksheet in that workbook.
