Why is my HTML email showing up wrong in different email account?

I've seen this before and I think it has to do with CSS (which I realize isn't supposed to be in emails), but I'm super new to this and have scoured the internet to find out exactly what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it. It shows up properly in my Yahoo acccount, but not in my Gmail accounts (which initially threw it in Spam, if that has anything to do with it). I only know the very basics of HTML and CSS, but still have get this work done and I'm assuming someone will be able to view the code and see what my issue is pretty quick - I hope! It previews in browsers just fine, it's only when I'm click "Forward to a Friend" to send it to myself to test.

So, is it CSS causing this? Are the Tables setup incorrectly? Something not Inline? Not enough info for you? Gmail HATES ME?!
I'm just not seeing it and need to put the question out there while I continue to search for an anwer. Please respond!
Thanks!

Many mail clients reject images, JavaScript and embedded CSS styles.  For best results use plain text near the top to communicate your message and give a link to the actual web page on your server.
For mail clients that do have limited support for HTML, use uncomplicated tables and inline CSS rules (inside the body tag).
All that meta data description is a red flag to spam filters.  You shouldn't be using meta description or keywords in e-mails.

  • Security question verification email is set to a different email than my apple ID

    Oddly enough, the Itunes store will not let me purchase new msuic without verifying my account now, even though I made a purchase on this computer about a week ago. It wants me to verify via my billing information and security questions. However, I can only remember one of my secert questions, and when I attempt to reset my security questions via email, it appears that the verification email is sent to the wrong address - not to my apple ID email. The email is sent to a .au email instead of my .com one. Just to be clear, I do not own or have access to the .au email address.
    Can someone point me in the right direction to have this problem resolved?
    Thank you for your time.
    Justin.

    The reset link will show the rescue email address that you have on your iTunes account - it can't be the same as your primary email address (not alternate email addresses), so it will be different.
    You won't be able to change the address until you can answer your questions, you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
    Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
    When they've been reset you can then use the steps on this page to change your rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5620
    Or, if it's available in your country, you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

  • Old emails showing up in a new email post

    When I send an email, old emails completely unreleated, show up as a string in the email in my mail inbox. Very irritating and not sure why it is ahppening - seemed to start a few months ago. Only happens on my mac, when I'm in Mail. Just upgraded to Mountain Lion, but started on Lion a few months ago. Help.

    Hard to tell without seeing the messages in question.
    Some possibilities:
    * Use of "reply" instead of "new message"
    * Accidental duplication of message-id (should not happen)
    * Same (or no) "Subject:" header (maybe)
    * A bug

  • Why does my iTunes library show up to be different sizes?

    I have about 2600 songs in my iTunes library. At the bottom of the iTunes library window, it says there are 2600 songs, 13.03gb. All of these songs fit on my 16gb iTouch.
    Now, when i go to finder>Music>iTunes>iTunes Music the folder is 114gb!
    WHY IS THIS SOOOO MUCH LARGER?
    It's the same contents that are in my iTunes library!

    Selecting Music in iTunes will show only your music.
    Selecting Music>iTunes>iTunes Music in the Finder shows everything in iTunes including music, movies, audiobooks, podcasts,TV Shows, etc.
    Go to Music>iTunes>iTunes Music>Music and this is only the music files.

  • Lion Mac Mail: Re: New email showing up as an old email from a complete different address

    It's a tad strange. I got an email from a friend say "Mary". I saw her name and the subject line just fine but when I opened it, it showed an email from another friend say "Nate" from over a year and a half ago! His name was in the from and the email address was just as it was so many months ago. I tried a search for the same email from Nate-- it showed up once with his name in my archives and as the content of Mary's email. I checked my iphone. Mary's email was there and fully intact. I read the new email she sent with no problem. It seems that for some reason this new email has it's wires crossed, like for some reason it wishes it was from Nate instead. (Granted, Nate's email was definitely more exciting-- but Mary's wasn't too shabby either.) Le confusing! Never happened before or since.
    Anyone got a clue?

    Yes, but did you check your present IP, or the last one?
    I'm also wondering if it could have anything to do iwth the fact that I have very big inboxes & sent mail boxes.
    Not likely.
    Wasn't sure if rebuilding my mailboxes might help - my mail program isn't finding files properly either.
    Not likely to do with the sending problem, but...
    Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
    Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup),  it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.

    Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ may or may not exist.

  • Previews keep showing up wrong (as different jpgs) HELP!

    I am attempting to make a book but keep having problems as the previews of my jpgs are showing p as different pics. It's a certain set of photos that it keeps happening with. I look at the preview and it's another pic from my library. But when I click on it and make it big, it's the photo I want. There are about 50 pics in my library that it happens with. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it? I have considered saving my library elsewhere and reinstalling iphoto but am a little weary. Please help!

    Hi NONOTME9,
    You have two options.
    -select the 50 images within iPhto and share>export them to a new folder on the desktop.
    Delete them from within iPhoto and empty iPhoto's trash
    Import them again.
    -Rebuild your library choosing only the thumbnail options.
    Try this:
    Before doing a rebuild make sure iPhoto's trash bin is emptied. You can do this by control clicking on the trash bin, or from the menu bar under iPhoto.
    Close iPhoto
    Duplicate the iPhoto Library folder
    Drag the duplicate to the desktop (hopefully you have enough room on your hard drive for the duplicate.)
    Launch iPhoto holding down the Command and Option keys until you see the rebuild options screen.
    Choose the first three options. If you were missing photos in your library, also choose the last option. Be advised that you will get a roll of orphaned photos and it might be quite huge. Most of them will already be in your iPhoto library, but use caution when deleting anything from this roll until you are sure the photos are still in your library in another place. It might be a good idea to share/export this roll of photos just in case you need to import them again.
    Back to the rebuild, depending on the size of your library it might take some time. When it is done, hopefully your photos will be there.
    You might see some unexpected results as I did when I did a rebuild. Photos had been moved to wrong dates, video clips had lost their duration info and some were even orphaned from the jpg pointer file. It took me some time to straighten it out again.
    This is the reason to make a duplicate before you rebuild, in case you do not like the result. If you don't like the result, close iPhoto, then delete the rebuilt library and drag the duplicate back into the Pictures folder making sure the name is iPhoto Library. Launch iPhoto and it should open the library in the Pictures folder.

  • Recently created a new iCloud account, but want to use my previous iCloud email address (created with a different iCloud account)... help needed!!

    Guys,
    I hope you can help me out on this, but I have a problem...
    A few years ago I created an iCloud account on my old iPhone 4S.
    Back then, I used an email address for iCloud registration that's no longer active.
    Anyway, I also made an iCloud email address back then.
    - Now I have a brand new iPhone 5S (totally love it)... and I just created an iCloud acccount with an other email address than I used back at the time I had my old 4S.
    But... now I would like to use the same 'old' iCloud email address that I used on my previous 4S iCloud account.
    Since that previous iCloud account is linked to an email address that no longer exists, I don't know how to do this!!
    Can someone please help??

    Each of you should set up your separate iCloud account on your own computer using your Apple ID. This gives you two independent iCloud accounts.
    Note that an iPad is not a multi-user device. It can only be synced with one account.

  • Email Shows Up in Both Work and Personal Account

    I use a Blackberry 8820 for my work email. I just set up a personal email account on the Blackberry. When I receive
    personal email, it shows up in both my work email inbox AND my personal email inbox.
    Anyone know how I can stop my personal email showing up in my work email inbox?

    I tried to get my head around this as well the first days, as my Gmails appeared in my @operator.blackberry folder and vice versa. After I deleted my POP Gmail box and created a new one with IMAP it didn't re-occur. Possible, it could just have been outgoing messages that turned out in the wrong box, which I guess would make sense since the outgoing message service option will affect all mailaccounts, even though the setting is accessed from one of the boxes. Why this is so, I would like to know as well
    - hope this make sense to you

  • Spry Contact Form doesn't show all the information on email

    Hi there,
    So I have created a contact form with the spry text fields.
    The text fields are:
    Name
    Email
    Message
    Onced tested the email shows:
    Name     : [email protected]
    Email     :  (blank)
    Message: (blank)
    So The two issues is that is shows the email shows under name and the email and message sections dont show any infomation at all.
    Link is here
    Thanks in advance
    Ash

    The best way is to have no separate action page and lump the whole lot into one document.
    The following is an example of this
    <?php
    if(isset($_POST['Email'])) {
        // EDIT THE 2 LINES BELOW AS REQUIRED
        $email_to = "[email protected]";
        $email_subject = "Your email subject line";
        function died($error) {
            // your error code can go here
            echo "We are very sorry, but there were error(s) found with the form you submitted. ";
            echo "These errors appear below.<br /><br />";
            echo $error."<br /><br />";
            echo "Please go back and fix these errors.<br /><br />";
            die();
        // validation expected data exists
        if(!isset($_POST['Name']) ||
            !isset($_POST['Email']) ||
            !isset($_POST['message'])) {
            died('We are sorry, but there appears to be a problem with the form you submitted.');
        $name = $_POST['Name']; // required
        $email_from = $_POST['Email']; // required
        $comments = $_POST['message']; // required
        $error_message = "";
        $email_exp = '/^[A-Za-z0-9._%-]+@[A-Za-z0-9.-]+\.[A-Za-z]{2,4}$/';
      if(!preg_match($email_exp,$email_from)) {
        $error_message .= 'The Email Address you entered does not appear to be valid.<br />';
        $string_exp = "/^[A-Za-z .'-]+$/";
      if(!preg_match($string_exp,$name)) {
        $error_message .= 'The Name you entered does not appear to be valid.<br />';
      if(strlen($comments) < 2) {
        $error_message .= 'The Comments you entered do not appear to be valid.<br />';
      if(strlen($error_message) > 0) {
        died($error_message);
        $email_message = "Form details below.\n\n";
        function clean_string($string) {
          $bad = array("content-type","bcc:","to:","cc:","href");
          return str_replace($bad,"",$string);

  • Old email shows as content of new mail when received

    This is so weird..and I cannot even begin to think about how it happens. Sometimes (5% of emails?) when i receive a new email, I go to open it as usual. The sender could be a friend the subject line makes sense like the email is going to be about something i want to read - so i go to read it. When I open the email, the email is completely different.
    The window that pops up with the title, sender, subject, date and the whole email content is a completely different email (i.e one from my inbox) which I could have received maybe 6 months ago!
    The only way I can get around this is to log into my webmail IMAP mail and read it on there, where it opens the correct email....
    any ideas!
    Guy

    Guy,
    Welcome to the Discussions.
    It would appear likely that this is problem with the Envelope Index. Have you ever taken any action to remove the Envelope Index file (and other files) without first removing the IMAP account folder?
    Let's force an overall reindexing via the removal of the Envelope Index. Note the special instructions when forcing the reindexing of IMAP or Exchange accounts in the following:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mail/3.0/en/14019.html
    This will force the reindexing of all the POP mailboxes and all On My Mac mailboxes. With regard to any IMAP accounts if you have any, the practical result of this action of removing the account folder, is that with the IMAP account still set up in the Preferences, Mail will connect to the IMAP server and create a new account folder, and while doing so will index the messages in the mailbox folders of the IMAP accounts on the server.
    Keep me posted.

  • ERMS - what controls the default "email from" when replying to an email

    We have multiple emails that go to the same agents that respond to these emails.
    I thought in img t-code CRMC_IC_EMAIL the reply to adddress would be the default but that does not appear to work.
    when the agent does the reply-to email the From is a different email than CRMC_IC_EMAIL.  There is a drop down arrow on the right hand side and the user can change the email from address, but trying to get this to deafult in.
    The emails the agents can choose from are from IMG t-code CRMC_IC_FROMGRP which includes the one from CRMC_IC_EMAIL
    crm 5.0 sp11.

    Don't know if you resolved your email problems but after much playing around I finally got someone at my ISP that knew what he was doing.  If you cannot send, under the smtp server your user name and password must be entered even though the prompt tells you it is optional.  As a mobile device the port used is different from the one I would normally use if at home and therefore validation is required by use of the password.  The normal port for the smtp server is 110 but to use on a mobile unit like the iPad port 587 is used.
    Hope this helps.  It works fine for me now.
