How to get Weblogic's ClassLoader

Hello,
I am having problems getting custom Handlers to load using the Java 1.4 Logging
API. Apparently, the custom Handlers are loaded using the System classpath, not
the applications classpath. So, I am trying to create a custom ClassLoader with WebLogic's ClassLoader as it's parent. How do I get Weblogic's ClassLoader?
Thank you,
Josh

register at elicense.bea.com and ask there.
but, a license is a license, as long as the ipaddr is not restricted.

    Hi,
I Understand that your Admin Server is up but nor your managed server.
here is the following way to start your Managed server.
    %Domain_Home% / bin /
    ./startManagedWebLogic.sh <Managed server name > t3://<Admin Host>:<Admin Port>
in this way you can start your managed server.
If you configure Nodemanagere please configure Machine internally and provide Nodemanager configuration there and then you can start your managed server from console.

  • ADF security : How to get fnd_users list in weblogic server

    Hi All,
I have a question related to ADF security.
I am able to apply ADF security to the application, where users information and roles are defined in jazn.xml file.
On deployment, users/ roles information is being successfully ported to weblogic server.
But my requirement is to fetch users information from fnd_users table. If you have any idea as how to get the fnd_users data to weblogic, please reply.
    Thanks,
    Randhir

    Thanks John.
I went through the link and got steps for authentication with fnd_users.
I have one more question on this.
Do I need to enable jazn.xml for implementing security or only the steps given in this link is sufficient?
Since roles are also stored into fnd table, how to secure the taskflow? (roles are not defined in jazn.xml)

you didnt seem to have configured the datasource / connection pool / database control with proper db properties
you should check your configuration to see if you have done it right and then you should check your application and the properties settings in the controls to ensure they are right.

  • I've extended java.lang.Thread.  How do I get WebLogic to use my version?

I want to add a String attribute to the thread class to save some extra info I need. I extended the Thread class with a private String with getter/setter methods.
Since WebLogic instantiates the threads and not my own code, how do I get WebLogic to use my version of Thread instead of the one from java.lang?
    -Bill

I don't think it's possible to have WLS use your own thread implementation for WLS internals. However, for your own custom work, it's pretty straight-forward to use the CommonJ Work Manager API and add your own implementation details for a thread pool.
    See documentation: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/e13701/self_tuned.htm#i1069944
    WorkManager Javadocs: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/apirefs.1111/e13941/index.html?commonj/work/WorkManager.html
Specifically providing your own Work interface implementation should hopefully allow you to meet your need.

  • How to get the Database type from weblogic Db connection

I want to use database version control in my application . that means different database type use different Sql Statement. Such as in weblogic7.0 if I create SqlServer JDBC pool then I will use some special Sqlserver sql Statement . such as some join statement. If I create Oralce JDBC pool then I have to use different Sql statement . because these two database support different Sql statement.
What my question is how to get the database type from the connection.

For a normal jdbc driver you can use
    Connection.getMetaData()
To get the meta data, in particular the getDatabase...() methods.
That might or might not work.
However, at the very least in the server you have access to the weblogic properties so you can parse the pool property to figure it out.

          try
            DelegatedAtnProxyManagerControlFacade delegatedAtnProxyManager = (DelegatedAtnProxyManagerControlFacade)getControl(DelegatedAtnProxyManagerControlFacade.class);

          catch (OperationNotSupportedException e)
            reportOperationNotSupportedException(e);
          }But I dont know what global.GlobalController actually is ?
I've asked Google for information but I got nothing. Do you know any documentation that describes about this controller ?

  • How to get web application to use Tuscany without conflicting with SAP SDO

    Hi,
We are attempting to run a web application on SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 SP1 which uses Tuscany SDO.  As it now stands We must use Tuscany because the web application will not run with the SAP SDO implementation provided by Netweaver. To ensure that Tuscany is loaded with priority, we have packaged the Tuscany JAR files and their dependencies as a heavy resource, as described here:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/60642a88-95fe-2b10-d387-a245d48fc257?overridelayout=true
The final check showed that Tuscany was correctly deployed as a heavy resource and included the following JAR files:
    common-2.2.3.jar
    ecore-2.2.3.jar
    ecore-change-2.2.3.jar
    ecore-xmi-2.2.3.jar
    tuscany-sdo-impl-1.1.1.jar
    tuscany-sdo-lib-1.1.1.jar
    tuscany-sdo-tools-1.1.1.jar
    xsd-2.2.3.jar
We also verified that the web application using Tuscany has a hard reference to the Tuscany heavy resource.
However, when we try to run the web application, the following error is logged:  java.lang.LinkageError: Class commonj/sdo/DataGraph violates loader constraints
The issue is definitely due to some kind of classloading conflict with the SAP SDO library, as the application runs normally when SAP SDO is manually removed from the classpath. Doing this on a production system is unfortunately not an option, though.
So the question is: how to get web application to use Tuscany without conflicting with SAP SDO?

I took a look at the "printerReady" example.  Looks like I may be able to use the InetPing (...) function to ping through a range of IP addresses looking for a response.
Any ideas on how to find the MAC address associated with the IP addresses that respond?
We may have multiple units responding and the MAC address will allow the operator to determing which unit to connect to.
I'll try the InetPing to see how it works,
