How to group on column to display yes

Hi All;
In SSRS report have a column called Precheck and Buscheck as shown in the diagram
If its a yes then display yes else no in one single column ( currently it gets display in 2 columns
Also grouped it as column group for 'Precheck' column
Any help on this much appreciated

I would like to get LOV column's DISPLAY value to trigger another javascript function. Could you please provide any hint?
For example, there is one IR report with 2 column, DEPT_NAME & SHOW.
The DEPT_NAME type is LOV .
The SHOW column is one link image, when clicking it , I would like to fire a javascript to get DEPT_NAME 's display value.
I know I can use #DEPT_NAME# to get the return value of LOV. However, how to get current row's DEPT_NAME's display value?

Is there any way you can create a table join, instead of using LOV as your display type?
That way you can select the name of the department in your IR query, display it as text, and then easily reference it as #DEPARTMENT_NAME#, for example.

Hi ,
This functionality was not exposed/supported in WDP ALV,however the same can be achieved in normal table(table UI element)
The reason this isn't exposed directly in the ALV is because it is used internally when you do a grouped sort. The ALV automatically buids group headers to explain the grouped sort/sum.
Depending upon your requirements if you must have the group header and aren't using much else in the ALV, you might be better off using the plain old table. Below is a link to how to do group headers in the table UI element.

Hi Archana,
Creating a group header is possible in case of normal Table UI element. I don't think any such functionality exists in case of ALV. Just go through Thomas' comments in this thread: header group in wd alv.

How to customize blob column text displayed in a report

Hi All,
I have a table with column File_name (varchar2) and file_content (blob).
Report generated by the APEX allows me to show report with two different column
File Name || File Content
aaaa Download (link)
bbbb Download (link)
I would like to show the report in such a way the File name column is hyperlinked to download the blob content.
I tried to change the link using the BLOB format mask, but seems it only takes up text value and not column name as #FIELD_NAME#
Any idea how to achieve this ?
I am using Application Express 3.1.2.00.02

Assuming the following table, operation represents each kind of transaction operation

question, for each operation, which employee do the most? which employee do the 2nd most?
I thought I need to group by operation first, and then get the frequency of employee, and get the top 1 or top 2 frequency highest.
But I am stuct, and do not know how to write the sql.

I used the break command to group columns that I do not want to repeat in my query output. When I run the query without formatting is working. But when I put all formatting to produce the required output I dont get the result I want.

How to disable some "columns to display"?

Hello!
I have one management pack (it's monitor some our network devices), which was written by contractors for our company. This mp have many unnecessary columns in it's view. I deleted some of these <ColumnInfo>
from mp (.xml file). Then I import mp but these columns
have not disappeared.
Can anybody help me? What should I do to remove these columns?
P.S. I know that I can disable them with "Personalize view", but I want to do it
centralized (all of the console users must see these changes).

Since the MP was written by contractors, it is better to contact them edit the column.
Meanwhile, after importing the management pack, please re-create monitor for
a test.

Help needed in RTF form field to display yes or no based on xml value

Hi,
I have the data in xml as follows: <CP_ZERO_COST>2</CP_ZERO_COST>
Now my requirement is, if CP_ZERO_COST is 2 then the column should display 'No' and if CP_ZERO_COST is 1 the column should display 'Yes'. Now this 'yes' or 'no' is not coming in xml tag. I need to do that in RTF form field.
Could anyone please tell me how to do that?

if you want to concatenate the strings from few columns into 1 column, you can simply use the concat function on the column formula

How to refer a column value of a single row in conditional column display?

does anybody have an idea, how i can refer a column value of a single row in conditional display of a column?
So my idea is, that a report has a column, which value is only displayed, when another column value of this row has a specific value.
I want to solve this problem with condition type: PL/SQL Function Body returning a boolean.
But I do not know how to refer the column value of each single row!

Here's a solution that, to me, seems easier to implement but, that's, of course, in the eye of the implementer.
Rather than using APEX to generate a link column for you, actually create the link as part of your SQL.

etc.
Test this out. You'll see that it works just like making a column a link using the column attributes.
Next, we'll change the SQL to use a DECODE statement to either display the link or nothing depending on what your criteria is. For example, let's assume you only want a link for active contacts.
select Decode( CONTACT_STATUS, 'A', '<a href="f?p=102:3:491847682940364::::P3_CONTACT_ID:' || CONTACT_ID || "><img src="/i/themes/theme_1/ed-item.gif" alt="Edit"></a>', NULL ) CONTACT_LINK, ...

This will not display the link in any rows in which the CONTACT_STATUS is not active, i.e. "A"

And also displaying the output of the Stored Procedures to the Front End. I am succeeded in this, but now I should be able to display the Column names of the output to Front End. It has an example how to extract the column name from a cursor. You have to check, whether you can use DBMS_SQL.DESCRIBE_COLUMNS
Your procedure might need another out parameter, that returns the column names , e.g. as comma separated list or as varray.

How do I set Column Width in table displayed - have tried everything :-(

I'm using Jdev 10.1.2, adf bc and jsp's.
Simple problem, driving me nuts. In my app i display a number of different view objects in a number of jsp's. i want to set the width of the columns so that the info (if large) in each field will stay on one line. i.e. it wont continue onto the next line and take up two rows.
i have tried setting the width property of the <th> & <td>, setting the disply width property in the entity object editor and the view object editor, nothing makes a bit of difference to how the column is displayed.
this results in the tables looking messy and squised, which is totally unsatisfactory.
so if anyone could shed any light on the subject, i would be most grateful.

How to avoid blank column display in output in ALV TREE

how to avoid blank column display in output while decreasing the length of other columns in ALV Tree.
Example: please refer to BCALV_TREE_01 and see the output, then decrease the length of all columns . Then you can see a blank column appearing in screen at last, i.e in container. so how to avoid that.
