How to hide exception display on results row

I have an exception on my query, showing when the value of a certain formula is 1. I am hiding the results row display of that formula. It's being displayed as a hierarchy. The value doesn't show on the result nodes but the exception shows. How can I avoid the exception being shown on the result row?

Hi,
In the Exceptions, Goto Cell Restrictions Change the Operates value to Everything Except Totals.
Then Exceptions will not be displayed for the Result Areas.

  • How to hide or filter out the row at break subtotal level

    Hi All,
    Need to know how to hide or filter out a row at break subtotal level.
    My Requirement is to sum up the first 20 business days total as Month total.
    This is a cross tab report, with Dates going from top to bottom, Securities going from left to right and Amount as the intersection of this two dimensions.
    So I have created a variables like this below
    RunningCount of Mtr Dt=ToNumber(RunningCount([Query 1].[Intrader Acct Mtrty Dt]))
    and
    MonthBreak=If [RunningCount of Mtr Dt] Between (1;20) Then 1 else 2
    Inserted this "MonthBreak" variable into the crosstab so it will give me each rowcount, then applied the break on this variable, so it split the first 20 rows and the rest of the remaining rows.
    Then applied Sum on the Amount column so it will add up the first 20 rows and then the remaining rows. Now I want to display only the subtotal row of the first 20rows and hide/filter the row subtotal line for remaining row numbers greater than 21.
    Did tried to do some thing using the alterers but no luck.
    Please help me fix this

    Hi Mathangi,
    When I apply
    =If ([MonthBreak] = 1) then Sum(Amount) else 0
    in the subtotal row, then nothing is changed.
    And one other thing I noticed is when we apply break on a column it footer should be same as the break value right. But here in my report the break footer is displaying 1 for both the cases for first 20 rows break and the rest from 21st rows.
    That is when I place  MonthBreak variable in the table.. which has values 1(for row 1 through 20) and 2 (for rows 21 to end of the report) then apply break on this MonthBreak column, its footer value are same for both the cases which is displaying as 1
    Do you know why this happens and to your information this is a cross tab report I am working on....

    Helo,
    How to hide edit link for some rows in report? (according to value of column)
    regards
    siyavuş

    Hi siyavuş
    You can do this by taking the edit link off the report and putting it into your report SQL.
    Use something like Select CASE WHEN (condition)  THEN
    'Put your edit link in here as an html Anchor like<a href="(target)">Edit</a>'
    ELSE
    tt.value
    END edit_link
    FROM test_table tthope it helps,

  • Re: [iPlanet-JATO] How to skip the display of a row in a TiledView ?

    Syam--
    I am having problems in skiping the display of a row in a Tiled
    view. I have a customer search results page. Each customer has an
    associated type.While displaying the search results, I should skip the
    customer record from display, if the associated type falls in certain
    categories.
    What I want to tell is, the comment(saying this is equivalent of
    repeated_onbeforerowdisplayevent) and placement of the
    onbeforerowdisplayevent handler(NetD) code in nextTile() method is
    confusing.Agreed. We used to have a seperate row display event, but removed it
    because it was extraneous.
    I did not find an equivalent way of doing this in JATO ? Can
    someone tell me how to do this?There are a couple of options. First, you could write a scriptlet in your
    JSP inside the tiled view tag that would check the status of the row and
    just skip the HTML output for that row if it matched your criterion. The
    other possibility is to override the nextTile() method to do an additional
    super.nextTile() call if the row isn't to be displayed. For example,
    something like this:
    public boolean nextTile()
    boolean result=super.nextTile();
    if (result && isHiddenRow())
    // Skip an extra row
    result=super.nextTile();
    return result;

  • Display only result rows in a query

    Dear Friends,
    I have a similar scenario than this (i copied it from another post in SDN):
    Cal/Month---Cal/Date--
    Revenue
    Overall Result----
    400
    January-----Result--
    400
    01.01.2005----
    100
    01.02.2005----
    200
    03.02.2005----
    500
    I need it to be displayed as
    Cal/Month---Cal/Date--
    Revenue
    Overall Result----
    350
    January-----Result--
    400
    February----Result--
    300....
    Is it possible?
    Please advise,
    Xibi

    Xibi,
    Remove caldate from drilldown and always allow result rows for calmonth.
    But then your aggregation seems funny.... you have 200 and 500 for Feb and show 300 in the desired result ??

  • How to hide part of search results to particular users?

    Hi,
    Is it possible to hide part of search results to particular users? If it possible can you please tell how to implement?
    Thanks, Chinnu

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to hide part of search results to particular users.
    You can use the security trimming to achieve it.
    By default, Enterprise Search results are trimmed at query time, based on the identity of the user who submitted the query.
    When results are returned for a user's search, the Query engine performs an access check for the user's identity against the security descriptor stored in the content index for each item in the search results. The Query engine then removes any items in the
    search results that the user does not have access to, so that the user never sees these results.
    SharePoint uses the access control list (ACL) associated with each document to trim out query results that users have no permission to view,
    but the default trimming provided by SharePoint (out-of-box trimming) may not always be adequate to meet data security needs.
    In that case, you can custom the security trimming to meet your requirement.
    There are some articles for your reference.

  • How to hide request with no results in Dashboard?

    Hi Experts,
    I have a dashboard with 3 requests in one section. The 3 requests are very similar to each other but need to be separated due to the way the metrics are calculated and the location of the datasource.
    DepartmentName Sales Month
    GroupName Sales Month
    TeamName Sales Month
    There is no hierarchy and all three don't relate to each other.
    The issue I am having is that if the first request (lets call it Department Request) doesn't have any data for that particular month, it still displays the column heading.
    How can hide the request or the column headings if there is no data for that request?

    --Report Dropdown
    --here is a detailed explanation from David using Guided navigation
    --http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=3511377
    --So, essentially, when you 1st report returns no data then you can hide that section, to itself.
    Thanks for the suggestion.
    This won't work for my requirements because the user doesn't want to select the reports. They want to input the para maters and look at the requests that have the data. If a request doesn't return data, then they want it blank.
    This dashboard will grown in terms of requests so the user doesn't want to select each report that they might need. Also, users will not know which request might or might not have data.

  • How to change default for Suppress Results Rows

    Hi,
    Does any one know a way to change the default value for the "Suppress Results Rows" from "Never" to "Always" under characteristic properties in a BEX query?
    Every time we build a new query we have to go to each characteristic and change most of them to "Always". Want this to be a system wide change that would affect all new queries or existing queries that are being modified by adding new characteristics.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    This property is controlled by domain RRXNOSUMS. You can change the default value to point from "Blank" to "U", I suppose. Haven't tried this though and I am not sure if it is okay to play around with the SAP settings. But if it works for you, do post back.

  • How to hide currency ($) display in Report Designer

    Hi Reporting experts,

        Create a formula and use the function NODIM(<your KF>) and hide you KF column which shows the $ sign. This would suppress the $ sign.

  • How to hide image displays for lightbox

    Using DW, I have a lightbox display.  Here is the page:
    Example page
    As you'll see, if you click on the photo, it opens up into a lightbox.  My colleague wants to have 10 photos open up in the lightbox but they do not want all of those photos to have thumbnails on the page.  In other words, they want one single photo, you click on it, and then see all 10 photos in the lightbox.
    If I put all of the img code for all 10 images on the page then all 10 images will also show up on the page.  So I have to somehow "hide" the images so that the small version of the photos do not show up on the page but will show up in the lightbox.
    Sorry if this sounds confusing and hope someone can help.  Thanks.

    Deaf Mike wrote:
    I've never seen it either as it already existed on the site and I actually just discovered it.
    Here's another example
    When you arrive at the above, click on the turtle and you'll see how several photos are in the lightbox.  Then close the light box and scroll down and click on those + symbols.  See those other images in the other sections?  Somehow the code is pulling those photos into the lightbox too.
    I want to do the same thing but the key is there will be no + symbols on the page - just one turtle photo and when you click on the turtle, all of the other photos appear in the light box.  Another thing I'm thinking about doing is having one turtle photo and then 10 1 pixel by 1 pixel invisible image down at the bottom of the page then have 10 of them and then the h ref for each are the larger photos - that way when you click on the turtle, the code will pull in the 1X1's large photos into the light box.
    Well that would be pretty easy just do as 'Per' suggested in the previous post and hide the 'thumbnails' you don't want on the page:
    Create a rule in your css - something like:
    .hide_thumbs {display:none;}
    So typically a set of light box images might look like the code below. (when clicked they open in a lightbox and that lightbox usually has an option to display the other images in that particular gallery by clicking through them, rather than clicking on them individually).
    <a href="turtle.jpg"><img src="turtleThumb.jpg" alt="turtle"></a>
    <a href="whale.jpg"><img src="whaleThumb.jpg" alt="whale"></a>
    <a href="dolphin.jpg"><img src="dolphinThumb.jpg" alt="Dolphin"></a>
    <a href="tuna.jpg"><img src="tunnaThumb.jpg" alt="Tunna"></a>
    If you add a class="hide_thumbs" the ones you don't want to show get the display: none; property BUT they should still be available in the lightbox to click through.
    <a href="turtle.jpg"><img src="turtleThumb.jpg" alt="turtle"></a>
    <a href="whale.jpg" class="hide_thumbs"><img src="whaleThumb.jpg" alt="Whale"></a>
    <a href="dolphin.jpg" class="hide_thumbs"><img src="dolphinThumb.jpg" alt="Dolphin"></a>
    <a href="tuna.jpg" class="hide_thumbs"><img src="tunnaThumb.jpg" alt="Tuna"></a>

  • How to hide cells in the sumation row in bps web layouts

    Hello xperts,
    I'm looking for a possibility to hide certain cells in the sumation row within a planing table (layout) over the webinterface builder.
    can anybody help me.
    I know there is a possibility to influence a table with the tableinterface for reporting tables.
    Is there any similar possibility in BPS- Web interface builder like a java script ?
    Please help !!!

    Hi Thomas,
    what exactly do you mean by "hide certain cells"? Do want to empty the contents of the cell or actually hide the cell? Hiding works for entire rows or entire tables, but hiding colums or even single cells is a bit more difficult (given, that when you hide one cell, the table loses its rectangular shape and the rows and columns don't match anymore ).
    I mangaged to change the appearance of certain objects with javascript. But that works only if you have an ID or NAME attribute in the HTML-source. Let's say you have a button and want to make it disappear.
    1. Create the button in the wi builder, name it button1.
    2. Create a text/html field, mark the html flag.
    3. Edit the long text of the field:
    <script>
      document.getElementById('button1').style.display='none';
    </script>
    That will make the button disappear. But I don't think that the display attribute will have any effect on a TD. You can try with style.InnerHTML or maybe set style.color to the background color. But in any case, the TD in the HTML code needs to have an ID or NAME. Otherwise it can't be referred. Maybe changing the bsp with SE80 helps?

    In the BEx query I have to use Val1 as a Free Characteristic. So when there is no value for Val2 but has a value for Val1 (as shown in third row) it is displaying as 1/Not Assigned. Other Text are displaying as desired.
    Am displaying Text as mentioned above in the report for this compounded Info objects. I want to display it as Not Assigned Instead of 1/Not Assigned or even blank. I tried all different ways of No Display etc. nothing is working.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Cheers

    Hi,
    Assuming as Val2 is primary info object and compound object is Val1.
    Drag Val1 into rows, properties --> display as --> No display
    Drag Val2 into rows, properties --> display as --> you can choose as you need, key or text.
    Thanks

    I only can see 65000 records even though it should return more values. How do you set it to show all/more the records?
    Thanks.

    Try setting
    <ResultRowLimit>120000</ResultRowLimit>
