Any ideas to remove it?
Thanks

I remember having the same problem when I was using xfce. I think the way I solved it was to enter "opera -notrayicon" as the default browser, instead of just only opera.
When you launch the browser in xfce it doesn't launch the browser directly, but rather xfcebrowser... which in turn is the standard browser you have chosen. Something along thes lines anyway

    AFAIK the system menu can´t be hidden - because people won´t be able to log off (but by using the X in the right upper corner). Additionally it contains additional transactions (own data etc.) that users should be able to change.

    Thanks in Advance.
    Balaji,

    Hi Balaji,
    Create a CSS file and the below code
    af|query.CustomQueryPanel::disclosure-icon-container { background-image: url("../img/minus.png"); display:none; height:0px; width:0px; }
    af|query.CustomQueryPanel::disclosed-icon { display:none; }
    af|query.CustomQueryPanel::undisclosed-icon { display:none; }
    Add styleClass="CustomQueryPanel" inside <af:query...>
    Now you can try...:)

  • How to hide close icon in Dialog framework

    JDev 10g.
    Any idea how to hide/disable close icon in a dialog launched by using:
    <af:commandButton     action="dialog:editEmpAngDetails"
                                       partialSubmit="true"
                                       useWindow="true"
                                       windowHeight="..."
                                       windowWidth="..."/>
    Dialog appears as a new browser window, and I want to force user to use one of the Save/Cancel button, in order to perform Commit/Rollback.
    So, I need a way to hide browser close 'X' icon.
    Any idea ?

    Hi...
    I got a further lead in this problem... In the class ADMDialog.h, in the comments described for Create & Modal functions for creating ADM Dialogs, there are some options described for the last parameter of these functions:
    ADMInt32 ADMAPI (*Modal)(SPPluginRef inPluginRef, const char* inName,
                                            ADMInt32 inDialogID, ADMDialogStyle inDialogStyle,
                                            ADMDialogInitProc inInitProc, ADMUserData inUserData, ADMInt32 inOptions);
    Now, there are some values that can be given in that last parameter which define our creation options for the dialog. One of them is  kADMModalDialogHasPaletteSystemControlsOption, which too is defined in the same class (ADMDialog.h) & which, as the comments say, shows a close box at the top right corner of modal dialogs.
    So, I implemented this as,
    sADMDialog->Modal(fPluginRef, "My Dialog", kMyDialog, kADMModalDialogStyle, NULL, NULL, kADMModalDialogHasPaletteSystemControlsOption);
    This compiled just fine, but the dialog appeared without any close icon. Now, what to do?
    Please guide me on this...
    Thanks!

    Hey,
    As Balamurugan said,that is also a way to do this.
    But jquery increses overhead for just small thing.
    So put something like this in your <head> section of master page
    <style>
    .s4-help {
        display: none !important;
    </style>
    This is the easiest way to do this :)
    Let me know if you have any queries :)

  • How do I install a patch? (xfce4-power-manager tray icon patch)

    Sorry if this is a stupid question or if the answer can be found elsewhere, but I googled and searched the forums and couldn't find any answers.
    xfce4-power-manager had for the longest time had a tray icon showing battery status, and they recently decided to remove it in favor of a xfce-panel only icon. Bringing it back was requested on bugzilla and a patch was released.
    But I really have no idea what to do with it. Can someone shine some light on this for me?

  • How to add a minimize to system tray icon button?

    how can i add a minimize to system tray icon button near the others common buttons usually found on the upper right window bar? (i mean near the _ [] X)
    _ for minimize to taskbar
    [] for maximizing
    X for closing
    i'd like to add a fourth button to the left of the _ button for minimizing to system tray
    like in many programs the fourth button is a dot shaped one that minimizes the program to system tray
    i'd like to add one to my program as well, but i didnt find anything about this kind of buttons neither on google nor on java books
    can anyone help me?
    thank you!

    You can't (easily). The window decorations are controled by the operating system. Your best bet is to change the functionality of the minimize-to-taskbar button and make it into a minimize-to-tray button. In fact, all the programs that minimize to the tray on my computer - about 6 of them - do it this way.
    like in many programs the fourth button is a dot shaped one that minimizes the program to system trayI've never seen this?

  • How do I get firefox 3.5 back? Firefox 4 can't find yahoo.mail URL. Using your suggestions has caused me to loose my system tray icons and printers from my computer altogether and my system restore will no longer work either.

    Firefox 4.0 cannot find the Yahoo mail URL. Working with the Verizon tech we were able to get Internet Explorer to finaly find the yahoo mail web site. But not luck with Firefox 4.0 .
    Since trying your suggestions to make firefox 4 find the Yahoo mail URL. I have noticed that all of my system tray icons except the Panda anti virus and volume control icons have disapeared. My system restore will not restore and printers are gone altogether. How do I get the old firefox and all i've lost back.

  • How to "Hide signature field validity icon when signature is valid" in Acrobat 6 Standard?

    I know how to "hide the signature field validity icon" in Acrobat 8 Pro, but just can't seem to find where to do it in Acrobat 6 Standard.
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Sean,
    That functionality didn't exist in version 6. I got to tell you though that version 6 is way past its end-of-life and you really should be using a newer version.

  • How to avoid orphaned system tray icon?

    I know how to create a system tray icon for my application using InstallSysTrayIcon().
    I also know how to remove it before the program terminates (calling RemoveSysTrayIcon()).
    But the program closes in an expected way, or through the Task Manager, for example, the icon isn't deleted, and the user could think that the application is still running. Moreover, when you re-launch the application, a second icon is shown.
    The Windows OS removes the orphaned icon when the mouse hovers over the tray.
    It seems that this is an OS issue, and I did some web searches: I found this describing a way to avoid this behaviour in a C# application, but I haven't been able to port this solution to a CVI application.
    Is there a way to do this with CVI 2009?

    Hi Luca!
    Anyway if you're worried about program crashes your only option...
    Actually what I'm worried about is a little bit more complicated: my CVI application could be remotely closed by other applications running on the same or other PCs on the LAN. I should avoid the icon is left on the system tray while the application has been closed, giving a wrong information to the user...
    I've been using the task manager only to "simulate" a force close made by a different application.
    And sure, I must increase the error handling as much as I can to avoid application crash
