How to I add a background image in an Encore slidehsow?

How do I add a background image in an Encore slidehsow? Currently the slideshow has a black background and I would love to be able to change that to an image.

You can always fire up Premiere (or Photoshop) and create images with whatever background you choose.........

  • Add a Background-Image to an Editable Region

    I would like to add a background image at the bottom of this page (www.theram.com/drink_specials.html). The 'body' editable region is where I would like to add it but I am not sure how to...could you help me out? I don't want this image to show up on all template pages, just this page.
    I added this code in the head section for only this page but obviously it is not correct because I don't see the image.
    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    body {
              background-image:url(/images/backgroundStoli_web.jpg);
              background-repeat: no-repeat;
              background-position: bottom;
    </style>
    Thanks for your help!!

    I'm sorry, I don't think I was very clear on where I wanted this...I would like it to be in the white part of 'body' editable region that has the drink pictures and descriptions in it. How do I add a background image to that part of the page? Thanks!
    In that case add an 'id' to the <th> cell that the drinks table is inserted into (see below - id="bg_1")
    <th width="675" id="bg_1" align="left" valign="top" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" scope="col">
    Then amend your 'body' css selector to #bg_1 (as below)
    #bg_1 {
        background-image:url(/images/backgroundStoli_web.jpg);
        background-repeat: no-repeat;
        background-position: bottom;
    I don't know if /images requires a leading slash infront of it. If the background image does not show up get rid of the leading slash /
    Not sure why youre using a <th></th> table cell to insert the drinks table into. A <th></th> tag is a table header tag.......you should really be using a <td></td> tag.

  • How do I add mpg background video behind a psd menu in Encore?

    How do I add mpg background video behind a psd menu in Encore? The psd file is transparent and it still comes out as pitch black behind the menu. I'm inexperienced with these products so any help is greatly appreciated.

    If you have done what Russ describes and it does not work...
    Encore replaces the background layer with your motion video. So make sure you have a) a layer at the bottom (in Photoshop layer order) that is named "background," and b) no other full layer above that (for example, an image in another layer you've used instead of the original background layer).
    Also keep in mind that setting transparency in Photoshop is overridden by various Encore processes.

  • Can anyone suggest me a simple way to add a background image to JFrame ?

    I want to add a background image to JFrame in a simple way rather than overiding the paint method or paintComponent method. Just like adding an image to JButton or JLabel using two or three lines of code. Is it possible ? r there any methods for this purpose ? if so pls give the code.

    JFrame as such does not provide an option to set a background image.
    Extending JPanel, over-riding its paintComponent() and setting it as the contentPane of JFrame is one way of doing it. Though you have to do the overriding, it is not very complex though.

  • Is there a way I can add be background image to my sharepoint site with look and feel?

    Whenever i add any background image with "look and feel" it stretches the image. I've tried modifying the CSS file (in body and tried .ms-backgroundImage setting "background-size:inherit !important;") to fix it, but it doesn't seem to
    have any effect. I there anyway i can add a background image to the master html or css code and get it to not stretch?
    Thanks
    James T.F

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add background image to sharepoint site with look and feel.
    We can define the Image Url  in the Composed looks (Site Settings > Web Designer Galleries > Composed looks) to add background.
    However, the image will be stretched to fill the viewport at 100%.
    Though we can override the CSS attributes which would allow the image to repeat, but instead I recommend to go the no CSS route and switched the background to a much larger one that would fill the viewport nicely without looking pixelated.

  • How to add different background image for submenu items???

    Hi all,
    I'm pretty new to web design and CSS in particular. Here's my problem...
    I've got a Spry horizontal menu bar (untouched as yet), and I want to have a different background image for my submenu items than that of my menu items. From searching the internet I think that I need to apply a class to the submenu item (please correct me if I am wrong).
    How would I go about doing this and how would I assign the class to just the submenu items?
    Also ideally I want to have my first and last menu items to have rounded corners on one side (therefore making a rounded edge menu bar), is it possible to have a different background image for individual menu items? If so, how?
    Really appreciate any help!

    Thanks for the link! I've managed to sort the background issue, and it seems to be working fine!
    Just one little issue left to tackle...
    I want my text to be centered in my top menu items BUT aligned left in my drop down menu items. I have managed this but the text hugs the left hand side. I've tried adding a little margin to the left but that doesn't seem to affect anything???
    Here's my CSS... Any ideas which class I should be targeting or why adding the margin isn't working would save my tearing the rest of my hair out! thanks! (screenshot attached).

  • Problems to add a background-image to the widget Spry MenuBar!

    With DreamweaverCS4 version 10.0 Build 4117, (italian language) I have tried to add a Spry MenuBar to the one website page.
    But the problem is that I haven't understood where add my property "background-image": url(../immagini/Menu_Button_01.gif).
    In the Application Page of Dreamweaver I have this screenshot:
    But in the Preview Window of InternetExplorer 7 I have this strange behavior:
    The "Menu_Button_01.gif" are a rounded square button made with PhotoshopCS4 and have a transparent background.
    In the IE7 MenuBar doesn't appears as expected, without the transparent background!
    1) How can I do to show my "Menu_Button_01.gif" image as transparent background in the MenuBar?
    2) What is the correct CSS Style Rule to apply the "background-image" property?
    (Example: "ul.MenuBarHorizontal li"? Or "ul.MenuBarHorizontal a"? )
    3) Should I also apply the property: "background-color:transparent"? Where? What is the specific CSS Style Rule?
    I have uploaded my little local WebSite to Rapidshare (100KB):
    http://rapidshare.com/files/370735082/Test_Spry.zip.html
    Please download it to inspect my problem.
    Please response me!
    Horsepower0171.

    For a starter, you should not put your background style rules in the following. The accompanying descriptions will tell you this.
    /* Menu item containers, position children relative to this container and are a fixed width */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li
        margin: 0;
        padding: 0;
        list-style-type: none;
        font-size: 100%;
        position: relative;
        text-align: left;
        cursor: pointer;
        width: 116px;
        float: left;
        background-image: url(../immagini/Menu_Button_01.gif);
        background-color: transparent;
    /* Submenus should appear below their parent (top: 0) with a higher z-index, but they are initially off the left side of the screen (-1000em) */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul
        margin: 0;
        padding: 0;
        list-style-type: none;
        font-size: 100%;
        z-index: 1020;
        cursor: default;
        width: 116px;
        position: absolute;
        left: -1000em;
        background-image: url(../immagini/Menu_Button_01.gif);
        background-color: transparent;
    Then when you apply style rules to
    /* Menu items are a light gray block with padding and no text decoration */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal a
        display: block;
        cursor: pointer;
        padding: 0.5em 0.75em;
        color: #333;
        text-decoration: none;
        background-image: url(../immagini/Menu_Button_01.gif);
        background-color: transparent;
    this will be overridden by the following rules. They replace your image with an arrow image.
    /* Menu items that have a submenu have the class designation MenuBarItemSubmenu and are set to use a background image positioned on the far left (95%) and centered vertically (50%) */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal a.MenuBarItemSubmenu
        background-image: url(SpryMenuBarDown.gif);
        background-repeat: no-repeat;
        background-position: 95% 50%;
    /* Menu items that have a submenu have the class designation MenuBarItemSubmenu and are set to use a background image positioned on the far left (95%) and centered vertically (50%) */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul a.MenuBarItemSubmenu
        background-image: url(SpryMenuBarRight.gif);
        background-repeat: no-repeat;
        background-position: 95% 50%;
    /* Menu items that are open with submenus have the class designation MenuBarItemSubmenuHover and are set to use a "hover" background image positioned on the far left (95%) and centered vertically (50%) */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal a.MenuBarItemSubmenuHover
        background-image: url(SpryMenuBarDownHover.gif);
        background-repeat: no-repeat;
        background-position: 95% 50%;
    /* Menu items that are open with submenus have the class designation MenuBarItemSubmenuHover and are set to use a "hover" background image positioned on the far left (95%) and centered vertically (50%) */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul a.MenuBarItemSubmenuHover
        background-image: url(SpryMenuBarRightHover.gif);
        background-repeat: no-repeat;
        background-position: 95% 50%;
    There are one of two solutions
    If you do not want and arrow, simply set background to none in the above four instances.
    If you do want an arrow, include a down arrow image in a second Menu_Button_01.gif image called Menu_Button_01_DownArrow.gif or similar as well as a third one for your right arrow image.
    I hope this helps.
    Ben
