  • How to implement OSS notes : 207260

    Hi All,
    Can anybody please let me know how to impement oss note : 207260.
    I need to implement Note : 207260 which is settlement rule for incorrect last used period.In this note its saying to run ZMIGCOBR to repair incorrect settlement rule for incorrect objects. But in this notes its not given any such program.
    Please let me know how to implement OSS notes since i never done this before.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vishal

    Check the below point:
    SAP R/3 Document : Using Transaction SNOTE
    Implementing OSS Notes Using the new Transaction Code SNOTE
    In this document we will see how to implement an OSS note using the SNOTE
    transaction code.
    The transaction code SNOTE is used to implement OSS Notes. With the SNOTE
    transaction, it is no longer necessary to register ABAP objects such as report function
    modules etc. manually. But data dictionary objects such as screens, tables need to
    be modified manually by registering them in OSS system.
    In order to use the transaction code SNOTE, the relevant transport which implement
    this transaction in the system need to be transported. Please refer to the SNOTE
    guide available at http://service.sap.com
    Execute the Transaction code SNOTE
    One of the first steps to do is to upload the note into your system.
    Follow Goto à SAP Note Download
    You can also use the SAP Note upload if the note has been saved in your local
    machine
    SAP R/3 Document : Using Transaction SNOTE
    http://www.sappoint.com
    In the following box that you get, enter the note number. We will take Note 388732
    as an example
    and click on the Execute icon. You will get the note number displayed in the list of the
    OSS notes
    In the above screen, we have two notes listed.
    By double clicking on or on the note number you can display the OSS note.
    You can also check the Status of the note by clicking on the Check SAP Note icon
    SAP R/3 Document : Using Transaction SNOTE
    http://www.sappoint.com
    Select the note and click on Check SAP Note icon. In this case we have selected
    note number 388732.
    If the note is not implemented as part of some support pack as per the support pack
    level of your system, you should get the following pop up box.
    Select the note number that you want to implement and goto Edit à Select/deselect
    node
    To implement the OSS note click on the Implement OSS Note icon
    SAP R/3 Document : Using Transaction SNOTE
    http://www.sappoint.com
    You will get a confirmation box like the following
    Click on Yes
    Click on the Continue icon
    SAP R/3 Document : Using Transaction SNOTE
    http://www.sappoint.com
    You will be prompted to enter a change request number.
    Click on the Create Request icon
    Enter a brief description of for the note and click on the continue icon
    SAP R/3 Document : Using Transaction SNOTE
    http://www.sappoint.com
    A change Request number is created for the change that you are making
    Click on the continue icon
    The system will display the objects that are going to be modified during the process
    of note application.
    In our case, Report LTXW0F10 and RTXWCHK1 are going to be modified.
    Click on the Continue icon
    For while the system will show the note in IN PROCESS status
    SAP R/3 Document : Using Transaction SNOTE
    http://www.sappoint.com
    After a while, select the note and click on the Check SAP Note icon on the application
    toolbar
    But still the Status of the note is displayed under In Process category.
    SAP R/3 Document : Using Transaction SNOTE
    http://www.sappoint.com
    You can also check the status of the note by checking the meaning of the icon next
    to the note number.
    To check the legend, follow Utilities à Color Legend
    As you can see from the legends box, means Implemented Correctly.
    Since the note is implemented, you can change the status of the note from In
    Process to Completed manually.
    SAP R/3 Document : Using Transaction SNOTE
    http://www.sappoint.com
    Select the note and click on the Set Processing Status icon
    In the Pop up box that you get, select the Completed radio button
    And click on the Continue icon
    SAP R/3 Document : Using Transaction SNOTE
    http://www.sappoint.com
    The note number is removed from the list
    ü You can also check the logs of the activities performed during the OSS note
    implementation by clicking on the Logs icon on the application toolbar. The log
    information will contain all the steps that were performed from the point of
    downloading the note will its implementation is completed.
    ü If there are any pre-requisite notes for the note that is being applied, the
    system will prompt you to load those notes too into the system. Depending on
    their applicability to your system, the system will prompt you accordingly to
    apply the pre-requisite notes.
    ü You can register the manually implemented SAP notes by executing the report
    SCWN_REGISTER_NOTES.
    ü SNOTE cannot change or modify data dictionary objects. If there is a note
    which requires changes to be made to a structure or a screen then SNOTE will
    not help. Such objects have to be registered and modified manually.

  • Is there a standard package available for JAVA for MM in Enterprise Portal

    Hi
    I would like to know if there is a standard package available for JAVA in MM for Enterprise Portal as we want to create purchase requests in the portal and send them to SAP .

    Standman--
    If you want a somewhat more powerful tool (albeit more complicated) check out TOra:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/tora/
    As an Oracle DBA I've used this at client's sites when I can't pay for PL/SQL Developer to be installed, and it has quite a few useful things built into it. I think that it's going to see a boom in popularity now that Oracle came out with XE.

  • How to implement single sign-on using java?

    I need your help regarding the following task, please go through it and tell me if you have a solution to it.
    DSOWeb is a portal which has links to all the reports generated from Microstrategy8.0.1 (MSTR) [it is another tool which generates the BI Reports] and my requirement is like when a report link in DSOWeb is clicked it goes to MSTR and shows a report of MSTR but the user is unaware of all this that the system is entering into some other portal and giving that report to him.
    1. User logs into DSOWeb (Implemented using Struts framework) - He is automatically logged into MSTR (Java Spring Architecture) as well.
    How to get the session Id of MSTR from DSOWeb and maintain that session within the DSOWeb???
    2.User clicks on a report link - He either uses the session created above or a new session is created for him, if the old one no longer exists.
    3.When User clicks Logout in DSOWeb the system should also internally invalidate the MSTR Session and logout from MSTR .
    Note : Here DSOWeb and MSTR applications are running in different Servers.

  • How to implement a search engine in java ?

    Hi All,
    1. Can anyone explain me with java code how to connect to a excel database residing on a
    different(I know that we do it thro' dsn) machine in my network. I know that we do it with a dsn.
    I created a network map but when I execute the statement
    "Connection conn = (Connection)DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:accesscarddsn");"
    then I am getting the error:
    SQLException:[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too few parameters. Expected 1.
    2. I am doing a website where some pages of website are jsp, servlets. I want to implement a search functionality in my site so that if the user types a keyword then I need to show him the links to the pages(whether jsp,html) which contain this keyword. How do I do that other than using property files .
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kumar.

    With regard to your first question,you need to supply user name and passwrd in the connection statement.I guess that's problem when it saya..too few parameters. IF there is no user name and passwd, sne dnull strings.
    With regard to the search functionality, there are many ways you can implement it.I am not sure about any readymade products available on the web, however you can code it yourself, it might be time consuming but I feel it is better.You can do it this way:
    1. Parse all the html docs in ur website, ignore all the html tags and maintain a HASH table of all words and the locations you found the word in.You can optioanlly remove all stopwords, i.e. words that occur commonly like 'a', 'an' etc..
    2. The next phase is to take a query through a cgi program and search the hash table for all keywords,make sure you seach for each keyword in the query seperately.Retreieve the docs, display the results on a html page.
    Cheers!

  • How to implement af:table filter with java backend?

    Hi,
    One of the af:table feature is to have a filter over its column to filter data. I want to implement this feature, however I'm not able to find documentation or example for it.
    We use plain java as backend (i.e. not using ADF BC) and most of the documentation and examples over the net are with ADF BC.
    Have you done or come across an example of similar implementation before?
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi,
    You can implement your own filters by adding a "filter" facet to your af:column.

  • How to implement logging functonolity in my java application

    Hi.
    I want to add logging functionality in my java project.Iam using jdk1.5.I have written following log4j.properties.This property file i need to keep it in com.format.src.property folder .All java files are there in com.format.src folder.
    log4j.rootCategory=DEBUG, FILE, CONSOLE
    ### A bootstrap file appender
    log4j.appender.FILE=org.jboss.logging.appender.FileAppender
    log4j.appender.FILE.File=${jboss.server.log.dir}/${HOSTSHORTNAME}-${jboss.server.name}-boot.log
    log4j.appender.FILE.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout
    log4j.appender.FILE.layout.ConversionPattern=%d{ABSOLUTE} %-5p [%c{1}] %m%n

    Could you reply me the steps to implement logging in my project.
    Thanks in advance
    alex

    1) Put the Apache Commons Logging jar into your "lib" folder.
    2) Create your properties file as "log4j.properties"
    3) Keep it inside the folder where you have your "src" (ie. ur "src", "classes", & "log4j.properties" should be in the same folder)
    4) Import "org.apache.log4j.Logger;"
    5) Create an instance of "Logger" as follows;
    Logger log = Logger.getLogger(YourClassName.class.getName());
    6) Use the created "log" instance when applicable as follows:
    log.info("Whatever the message");
    log.debug("Whatever the message");
    log.error("Whatever the message");
    log.fatal("Whatever the message"); ...etc
    Hope u got it... Happy coding... :)
    Cheers,
    Asela.

  • How to implement a LAN scanner in Java?

    Hi everyone,
    I am new to Java programming. I am working upon a task in which I need to scan the entire LAN using an IP address range. The requirement is to determine each device type i.e. routers, hubs, switches, hosts, etc. on the network using IP address. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

    can we atleast know which devices within a givenIP
    address range are present irrespective of theirdevice types?
    Not reliably. You can ping computers that reply to
    ping, or query a well known service (e.g. datetime)
    if the computer responds to such queries. More and
    more computers don't reply to such queries for
    security reasons. They are configured to be "black
    holes" so that malware doesn't find them quite so
    easily. Firewalls also often block such connections.
    What are you really trying to do? Why do you want to
    scan addresses?Ok. Let me tell u what exactly I want. First of all I want to determine the OIDs of all the managed objects on each node in the network. The OID for same type of managed objects on different nodes is always the same across all the platforms. So, once we know the OID of our required objects on each node in the network, we can query those nodes for the values of that OIDs. So, precisely, I want to have the OIDs and as a subsequently I want to query the nodes for their values. Is this possible using Java. If so, then please reply. Thank you.

  • How to implement multi threading without using Java's synchronization

    I have a shared Object called "tradeObj" whose attributes are "Price" and "Quantity".
    Thread1 is going to change the price and Thread2 is going to change the quantity but not stepping on each other's update.
    Because of the cost of synchronization, I dont want to use "Synchronize", but still want to make sure both threads make their update in a proper manner.
    Any ideas?

  • How to implement multiple (not redundant) 2100 series controllers?

    We are using H-REAP and have the 2125 WAC  at a central location. The APs are given the controller address in DHCP option 43.
    The question is this.  When I reach the point that I have more APs than one controller allows I want to add another controller. Do I have to manage which APs connect to each controller or can I give both controller addresses in the option 43 so the APs can figure it out and use whichever controller has room for them at the time?

    Hi,
    You could give in both WLC ip addresses in DHCP option 43 and APs should join fine.
    Once AP joins, you could actually set high availability and for few APs WLC1 can be made primary and for few APs WLC1 can be made secondary.

  • How to implement 3 way handshake in TCP protocol

    I am a newbie to socket programming. Can any one suggest me how to implement 3 way handshake?

    Java comes with java.net including Socket and ServerSocket. On the Java level you use this higher-level API (or even URLConnection or HttpURLConnection) and do not have to worry about the TCP handshake. You have no access to that low level either.
