How to implement extension for a mara table

Hi All,
Recently we appended mara table with couple of fields. But in order to make use of these two fields in all bapis and other functions how to add these fields to those bapis (i mean how to make extensions). Some where i read that we have to add these fields to BAPIPAREX. Can some body explain how to implement extensions.

Actually i added these two fields to bapi_te_mara. But how this structure will be used in bapis with the help of extension in and extensionX tables in the bapi or example bapi_material_savedata.

How to implement mapping for a slowly changing dimension

Hello,
I don't have any experience with OWB and I need some help.
I just don't know how to create the ETL process for a slowly changing dimension.
My scenario is that I have 2 operative systems providing customer information, a staging area and a dwh with a customer dimension with SCD type 2 (created within OWB).
The oltp data is already transferred to the staging area. But how should the mapping for the dwh table look like? Which operators have to be used?
I have to check whether the customer record is new or just updated. How can I check every attribute? A new record shall be loaded, an updated record shall be historized (as I configured it in the SCD type 2). I just don't know how the trigger of the SCD is activated. Do I have to try an update on the trigger attribute and then automaticalle a new record is created? But with which operator can I do this? How should the mapping look like? Or is this impossible and do I have to implement this functionality with SQL code only?
I know how to implement this with SQL code, but my task is to implement this in OWB.
As you see I did not understand the logic of OWB so far and I hope somebody can help me.

You may have to log in as the Administrator user rather than
"run as adminstrator".
Beyond that, are there really enough users on a system that
they can't install the extension(s) they need themselves?

You need to a script and run it on os level. Here is an example:-
emcli relocate_targets -src_agent=agentmachine1.domain:3872
-dest_agent=agentmachine2.domain:3872 -target_name=RACDB

Hi,
You need to create a custom message type and custom IDOC type for this with whatever fields you want send. You need to create segments (WE30), IDOC type (WE30), Message types (WE81) and assign the message type to the IDOC type (WE82).
You will have trigger the IDOC using a Report or something after doing the partner profile settings.
Similary in the target system also, you will have do all the settings.

In recording once u save, the recording comings out the transaction.
If u want the pop-up to display before save. Then in recording also
after entering all data and before Save press enter or do check.Try
this way after that save the transaction.

How to implement aggregation for different date periods

We have a report which shows various metrics for a given date period, selected by date prompts.
The problem is that one of the metrics should show data only for the first day in the range, selected by the prompt.
So, for example, if user selects in the prompt the range Oct 1 - Oct 10, then that particular column should only show data for Oct 1, while all others - for Oct 1 - Oct 10.
Any suggestions how to implement this would be appreciated.

Please try to play around with case statements in the fact column.

You can copy the key of the selected rows to the copy page and based on those keys render the rows. On this copy page, once user commits after any modification to data, read those rows and save with new keys.

I am getting RETURN Structure message type E
as

We create ivew for gui of windows.
When we sign in the EP, we click on the iview, inside iview, there is a window gui of sap gui.
Now we meet with the error ' Issuer of SSO ticket is not authorized.
We want to how to implement it using ticket authoration method. Whats the detailed steps ?

Basically you need to logon as Administrator
Go to ->System Administration -> System Configuration -> Keystore Administration -> Download veryfy.der
then
Check backend parameters...
login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1
login/create_sso2_ticket = 2
Logon to Backend, go to transaccion strustsso2 and add the certificate (veryfy.der)
At the portal, go to ->System Administration -> System Configuration -> System Lanscape -> go to the system and make sure that Logon Method is SAPLOGONTICKET
That should be pretty much it...

My project contains more than 200 maintenance tables.
Maintenance tables are very small and less than 100 lines.
Maintenance tables mostly associated with a translation table.
Translation tables are used for localized texts.
Translation tables consists of Master Table Key + LanguageKey.
I want to edit customizing tables only session language as single table.
Translation table row may or may not be. Thats mean relationship is 1 to 0..1.
ADF table control ignore this relationship.
I tried view link between master view and detail view objects, but if translation table line is empty ADF table control throws translation iterator is null exception.
I tried entity based left joined editable view I get view link inconsisty problem.
In this case, the BC forcing me to framework extension.
How is develop solution?
