You may have to log in as the Administrator user rather than
"run as adminstrator".
Beyond that, are there really enough users on a system that
they can't install the extension(s) they need themselves?

  • How to install Firefox for ALL users

I need all users on my computer to have firefox. It will only install to a specific user when logged into that account. When I try to install to a second account, it uninstalls the first location.
Where is the firefox install file to install for everyone on the computer? (just like every other install program...except for this one lately.) Note: I am NOT talking about extensions, just the firefox program itself.

    Hi,
You have to install it only once from any account by right-clicking on the Firefox installer and '''Run as administrator'''. All the users will have their separate personal settings.

  • How to install an extension for "all users"

I want to install a quantity of extensions for ALL users of FF on a PC running XP. There used to be a way of doing this but I have forgotten the method.
I know to save the .xpi file for each extension, and that there is some folder in a common area where these files are placed so that each User gets them installed the next time they run FF

  • Default WorkBook file extension for all users of BEx 7 in Offce 2007

    Hi Experts
We recently started using office 2007 with BEx 7.
However, many users still has Office 2003 installed.
I am looking to set the default file extension for all users to be .XLS.
I know that this option is available in Client level (Global Settings - Use XLS file format ) but I require that the checkbox will be automatically checked.
Is there a way to do it?
    Thanks,
    Yaniv

    Hello Yaniv,
Yes, you can maintan them globally.
this can be done in registry under :   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\BEx\Analyzer.
       UseXLSFileFormat
       Type: String Value
       Value true or false
For more information refer to SAP Note 1254112

  • How can I install and activate extensions for all users

Hi, within the version 7.0.1 I am able to install noscript extension for example for all users.
With version 8.0 the extensions are disabled by default, so I do not install it on company computers.
How can I manage extensions and settings for all users in 9.0?
    Best regards
    Jens

    Hi John,
    I appreciate your prompt response.
We have an Australian client here in the Philippines and would want to purchase an adobe software under Creative Cloud Licensing.
Since this type of licensing is not yet available here in the Philippines, they are suggesting that they can purchase it in their country.
My main concern is, will there be any conflict upon installing/activating an adobe software under Creative Cloud which will be purchased from their country?
And what are the steps for installing and activating a software under this type of license.

  • How to change settings for all users?

    Hi All,
In cPro we have User Settings button. On clicking that we get a Tabstrip where you will find "User" tab.
my question is: How can we change the default settings for all users e.g setting the checkbox "Scheduling only manually" to true ?
    Best Regards,
    Arti.

    Hi Arti,
In cProjects the authorizations can be managed either by authorization profile administration by system administrator for General authorizations or by Project specific authorizations for individual cProjects elements by Project owner.
Try the first one and I hope you will get the solution.

  • How to create gpo for all users in all ou?????

hello, plz help me.i want to create gpo for all users in all ou.but i dont want that gpo to do in domain????

Can you elaborate what you mean by "but i dont want that gpo to do in domain"?
In terms of applying it to all users, that's simple enough, you can simply leave the GPO's security filtering with its default setting as "Authenticated Users" which then apply to everyone.
In terms of it applying to all OUs, you only have two options.
    1) Create the GPO and link it to the root of your domain, so it then applies to the entire domain and all the OUs within it.
    2) Create the GPO, but instead link it to each OU that you want it to apply to. You can apply one GPO to as many OUs as you want, simply right click on the OU and select "Link an Existing GPO...". It's then not applied to the root of the domain, only the
OUs, but any changes you make to the GPO are applied to all the OUs that you've linked it to (rather than having a separate GPO for each of them).

  • Registering Plugins/Extensions for All Users on Windows 7

I am deploying firefox in a shared desktop environment and they all require the same firefox extensions.
I have downloaded the .xpi files and when I install them it only appears for me and not for the other users on the PC.
I need to be able to install these extensions once and have them available to all users on that PC.
I tried the -install-global-extensions command, but looks like that was removed from Firefox 10. Does anyone have any suggestions to my problem?
    thanks!

  • How to set preferences for all users?

I'm working with a windows CITRIX server and I need to disable the 'Remember passwords for sites' preference for all the users on the server. How do you do this for any user launching firefox on the server?

You can lock the signon.rememberSignons pref to false via the mozilla.cfg file.
    lockPref("signon.rememberSignons", false);
You canuse a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock prefs or specify new (default) values.
Place a local-settings.js file in the defaults\pref folder where also the channel-prefs.js file is located to specify using mozilla.cfg.
    pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");
    pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0);
These functions can be used in the mozilla.cfg file:
defaultPref(); // set new default value
pref(); // set pref, allow changes in current session
lockPref(); // lock pref, disallow changes

  • SSO installation for all users

    Hello,
When I install the SAP SSO, it is being installed just for the current user, which means if I have a laptop that travel between several users on the company I work for, I need to install the SSO for each user individually.
Is there a way of installing SSO for all users?
My scenario is this, I deploy windows using MDT (Microsoft deployment) and install SSO as part of the deployment process.
When i login with the admin user that i used for installing windows, I see SSO in programs and features, but when login with a different user, I don't see SSO in programs and features.
    Thanks.

You only need to install it once. Make sure java is in their PATH for their shell's .profile.

We need to install Adobe Connect Pro Add-In for all users in a Citrix environment. However, when installing the add-in there is no prompt to input a location. • Set trusted protocols for all users

we can´t find out how to add our protocol to registry (trusted protocols) for all users.
we are developing office addin, which enable insert special link to word document in format like this:
    corinth://app/foo?p1=vegetarian&p2=food
our protocol is associated with our metro app, user click opens our metro app with some parameters which opens app and sets the app state using parameters contained in link
Because our protocol is not trusted for all users, the annoying alert message appear, if user click on our link. Issue described here: https://support.microsoft.com/kb/925757?wa=wsignin1.0
only way we have is adding our protocol to current user registry, like this:
    [HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\Security\Trusted Protocols\All Applications\corinth:]
    What we have tried?
    * put it under same path in HKLM, but it doesn´t work.
    * registry propagation described in http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mshneer/archive/2007/09/04/deploying-your-vsto-add-in-to-all-users-part-i.aspx, but this solution were unable to write under security node
Do you have any idea, how to solve our problem? How registr our protocol for all users?
Edit: added link describing trusted protocols issue

    thanks for reply.
But, your answer doesnt solve our problem. Maybe my question is imprecise. We have no problems to deploy VSTO addin for all users, also we have our certificate and we are trusted publishers.  We have problem with settings our protocol as trusted for
all users. I apologize, becouse i inserted incorrect link to allert message, which points to trusted publishers issue. Correct link to our issue is https://support.microsoft.com/kb/925757?wa=wsignin1.0. What we need is set this registry HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\Security\Trusted
Protocols\All Applications\corinth: for all users, not only for current user. Registry propagation described in your first link is not working as i wrote in my original question:
"* registry propagation described in http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mshneer/archive/2007/09/04/deploying-your-vsto-add-in-to-all-users-part-i.aspx,
