As i'm new to this technology I wonder how I can run my program in the real mobile phones. What are the things required to transfer codes from the computer to mobile phones and what is required to run those programs in the mobile phones...

There are a few posibilities and not all device with support all of them
1. via a webserver where you put the jad and jar file of your application. The webserver needs to have the correct mime types setup, and then you can simple browse to that url with your device, and install the application
2. via the datacable or bleutooth: sometimes you can access the phones filesystem and install the application, somethimes you'll have to upload the application with some application. All very device dependant...

You need iTunes 10.7 or later on the computer.
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.

I have been having problems in implementing a simple application that fetches information from a server to a mobile phone, then using OTA midlet capabilities.
Have you got any code that you have tested on the device rather then on the emulator only?
All the samples i have used from books and online sources didnt work with my server.
The midlet simply asks for connection and then it gets stuck without displaying anything.
Please gimme some hints :)

Have just set up my new HP Envy 5532 printer and am having a few issues with printing photo's from my mobile phone.
Could someone please let me know how to choose between portrait and landscape. Also, when I print photo's from my laptop, the settings let me choose which paper size to choose - does anyone know what a 6' x 4' print setting is?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I gather that you would like to learn how to print pictures on your mobile device to your Envy 5532 printer.
You didn’t mention whether you are using an Android mobile phone or an iPhone so I’ve included the document for each operating system. If you would like more print options than what you currently have available, I would suggest downloading and installing the HP ePrint app. It gives you the type of options that you are looking for.

I would like to run java program to run in my pocket pc with 2003 OS (Ipaq h4150).

I would think if you found the correct JVM for a piece of hardware, then it could run Java. I know that is the case with cell phones at least.

When I have an outside caller to my pone no. my fax macine no. starts making so much noise that the caller can't talk to me.
I'm serching for a way to program the rings on my fax machine to 2 rings. this will solve the identification problem.
Does any one have a step by step guide to achieving this?

When you see the files in the finder window, just select the files (Command + Click to select more than one) and drag-and-drop them onto a convenient place on your computer, such as your Desktop.
From there, open up iMovie and from the "File" menu in the Menu Bar, select Import and then Import from File. Navigate to the files that you imported (for instance, on the desktop). Select the files you want to import (again, command + click selects multiple items). Choose whether you want the files to be moved to the iMovie media folder or copied (I normally choose move). Also, type in an "Event" name for the files to be organized under, as well as a location (the files will be copied/saved to an "iMovie" folder in the "Movies" folder of the drive you select).
Then, wait for the files to import. This can take some time, depending greatly on your computers performance capacities, the number of clips you are importing, where you are importing them to, and the size of the files.
Once import is complete, just click the Done button to finish.
With that, you are able to start editing your movie.

Assuming that you have downloaded the app already. Settings - general - keyboard - international keyboard - then add the emoji keyboard. then when you are in your text message hit the globe icon to the left of the space bar and your emoji will show up.

J2me Game for Mobile phone

i'm having a problem here. I am using the nokia's api for additional features. For those who'd use nokia's series 60's emulator, u should know there's additional arrow keys constant to the FullCanvas class. The problem is everytime i press on a arrow key(not the numkey), it calss the keypressed function twice then it calls the keyreleased twice.......can anyone explain whats happening or anyway of solving this??

The series 60 emulator is beta 0.1, as such, its packed with bugs.
The problem you have encountered is 1 such bug.
There is no work around, However, the actual phones (when they finally become available) will not exhibit the same problem. (Hopefully!)

How to run SMSDemo from WTK2 in a real HP (SE K500i)?

Hello J2ME experts out there,
Is there a way to run the SMSDemo from Wireless Toolkit 2 in a real Handphone? How?
I've tried to deploy it to my SE K500i, which AFAIK has supported WMA 1.1, but had no luck in sending nor receiving SMS. When I tried to send sms, it only showed a message "Sending message to +628124524", but apparently it didn't send anything, because the destination number never received the sms. The receiving part is even worse, when I clicked "Receive sms" from the menu, a "Application Error" message appeared.
Is this due to the way I deployed it? Does it have to be deployed using OTA? Because I only transferred the jar file directly from pc to my handphone using IrDA. Or is it due to the app not knowing the SMS center number where the message has to be sent through? How to tell the app which SMS center number of the operator it must use? I don't know which part of the coding or command to set this thing. Or the WMA will discover this automatically? What about the port setting? I don't know how to determine and where to find the port number to use.
I need to make an application to send sms using WMA, therefore I have to know how to make this SMSDemo run in a real hand phone.
I'm quite a newbie in J2ME. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I made some changes and it worked, really I don't know which one of those was the effective one. I will continue searching.
First, in forums say that you need to quit all the permissions ( Really I dont think its the answer) At least, that thinks avoid t have an error message, "Authorization Failure".
Second, Quit Push Registry...
avoid use of , in SMSSend , I dont' know why In mi phone 6600 didn't work

Your account shows that you have an Unlimited World Subscription which includes calls to private landlines in Finland. Your Subscription does not include calls to corporate landlines or to cellphones in Finland. To call corporate landlines you need to Buy Skype credit and to call cellphones either credit or a specific Skype subscription
