How to import cs1.Keyboard

How do I get my program to recognize cs1.Keyboard, please? oh, I am totally new to the Java thing so please be clear. Thanks a lot.

1) Your code has to refer to it. Probably you'd do:
import  cs1.Keyboard;But I don't know for sure, because cs1.Keyboard is not a standard part of java. It's something your professor or TA or author of the book you're reading, made up. You should ask him/her/them for official instructions.
2) Make sure that cs1.Keyboard is on your classpath. Probably it's in a jar file, so you'd have to include that jar file in your classpath. The way you do that depends on the OS and/or IDE you're using.

  • Import cs1.Keyboard doesn't work

    Please help I am writing my second program and I have been told
    that 'Class cs1.keyboard not found in import' when I compiled it.
    My code is....
    import cs1.Keyboard;
    public class three_int
    public static void main (String[]args)
    int a,b,c;
    float average;
    System.out.print ("Enter a number for a: ");
    a = Keyboard.readInt();
    System.out.print ("Enter a number for b: ");
    b = Keyboard.readInt();
    System.out.print ("Enter a number for c: ");
    c = Keyboard.readInt();
    average=(a+b+c)/3;
    System.out.println ("The average of a,b and c
    is " average".");
    What am I doing wrong? My class path is right I'm fairly sure. Is it because I'm using different versions of SDK ?
    I'm using SDK1.4 beta and SDK1.2.2, At University the cs1.Keyboard package works perfectly but when I downloaded it from the java website it didn't work.... Can you pls tell me the exact website I can get the version I can use to make cs1.Keyboard package work... Thank you. Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Cheers, George

    The statement "import cs1.Keyboard;" is telling the compiler to find a java package named cs1 and find a class named Keyboard inside that package.
    So your system must have a directory named cs1 that contains a file Keyboard.class. The cs1 directory must be in a directory that is in your Classpath.
    If you aren't sure about how your Classpath is set or which directory to put the cs1 directory, you can try to put it into the same directory that three_int.java is in. I'm assumng you CD to the directory that contains three_int.java when you try to compile it.

  • How to import data from corel draw file

    Dear Fellows
    i have a problem which is very interesting. i have a data like
    (rollno, name, course, duration and a photo of the candidate) in corel
    file. the problem is how to import selected data from the corel file
    into the oracle or any other database. Kindly guide me how to do this.
    Regards
    (BASIT)

    This can be automated... Most Windows applications support (or did support) DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange). In its basic form, you can send DDE commands to an application. E.g. load file using this filename, use the selection option on the menu, save the selection as a text file, etc.
    In other words, you can interact with an application using DDE only - no keyboard or mouse input required.
    DDE itself is fairly straightforward and not that difficult to code - the complexity is in the DDE payloads that need to be send to the application to make it behave the way you want it to. In the "old" days, this was documented in some fashion by applications. I cannot recall seeing any specific DDE commands and specs for common Window applications for many years now. Also, DDE was made part of the then new OLE2 spec and have since taken a backseat.
    Not even sure if apps today still properly support it...
    So instead of putting Corel data into Oracle, I would rather look at it the other way. After all, Oracle is the server - not Corel. Have a web front-end (written in APEX) that allows you to specify the participant's details and store this in Oracle.
    Create an export filter in Oracle that dumps this into a XML (or similar) format understood by Corel. Having Corel open this file, convert it, and print it. Then look at how to automated these steps in Corel (using VB for Apps or something).

  • Installation problems.... cs1\Keyboard

    I installed java SKD standard ediction v1.3 in my home computer. Everything seemed to be right, until I was trying to run my program. I run it and appeared on the screen the following:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: cs1\Keyboard
    I was investigating what was the problem so I think is with the classpath that does to appeared in c:\set in windows.... so i don't know how to create a classpath or what do you think I should I do?
    I appreciate your help.

    Actually, there is a cs1 Keyboard class, but it does not come with the Java SDK. You must install it yourself. For more information about this class and how you can install it, please use this link:

  • How do i get keyboard input?

    When I wrote programs in my high-school AP class we always imported a keyboard class and used Keyboard.readInt or .readChar or whatever type. I've downloaded the keyboard class but don't know where to put it so I can import it to my programs and I don't know of any other ways to get keyboard input and the string tokenizer method is a bit confusing. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks a lot.

    Hello Fignut,,
    this is the forum for the JavaHelp product, not for general java programming questions.
    Unfortunately I have no supernatural powers to know how your Keyboard class looks like, so I can offer only a solution with the standard API
        String line;
        try
        { BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader (new InputStreamReader(System.in));
          System.out.println("Enter your text. Finish with <Ctrl>Z and <Ret>.\n");
          while((line = in.readLine()) != null)
          { System.out.println("Echo: "+line);
          in.close();
        catch (Exception e)
        { System.out.println(e);
        }Regards

    Hi, I've checked how to use Kannada keyboard in Yosemite. But, there are some 'vattu forms' and other grammar in Kannada language that I don't know how to use it. I know how to change between the keyboards and can also view keyboard. However, For eg, 'Preetiya taatanige nimma muddu mommagalu maduva namaskara' How to write this? If anybody can answer this, very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance for your reply.

    In general, you need to use the "f" (kannada qwerty keyboard) or "d" key (kannada) between letters to make special forms.  Also you may need to adjust the typography settings of the font, which is done by doing Format > Font > Show Fonts > Gear Wheel > Typography as shown below.  If you can provide screenshots or more detailed info on things you cannot make, I can perhaps help.
    It is important to note that MS Word for Mac does not support Indic scripts -- any other app should work OK.

  • Importing / Transferring Keyboard Shortcuts into Photoshop CS5

    Hello, i am testing out Photoshop 5 and it looks good so far, yet some obstacles are left to solve. For example i wonder how to get the keyboard shortcuts from my old Photoshop (the .kys file) into the PS5? There is no import. I would even manually transfer, but opening the file in a texteditor just shows weird stuff (there was a guy who manually transfered his indesign shortcuts in such a way, but since he used a normal text editor i guess these files are of a different structure)
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/2881861#2881861
    if anyone knows how to transfer them or has an idea how to manually workaround, i am happy for hints.
    thanks
    Sofian

    It depends on which windows system you have, but for vista and windows 7, probably the best
    place to put the kys file is:
    C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Presets\Keyboard Shortcuts
    Added:
    Windows XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Presets\Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Cs1.Keyboard strikes back

    When I have tryed to run a program using the cs1.Keyboard function, I got the following error message:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: cs1/Keyboard
    at Message.main(Message.java:15)
    The error only occoured while running the program not while compiling it and was most likely triggered by the program line:
    usrDef= Keyboard.readString();
    (Where userDef is my variable).
    Anyone have any idea whats went wrong?

    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=442041&messageID=1993657
    this person had the same problem you did.
    there are classes that are part of Java.
    you load them when you do...
    import java.awt.Whatever
    your cs1.keyboard class isnt part of the java library.
    you need to find here it is. put it somewhere and then
    tell java where it is.
    find cskeyboard.class or whatever it is called
    then put the path to that file in your classpath
    java -classpath C:/whereever_i_have_cs1keyboard MyProgram

  • How to import mailboxes from Time Machine to new Mac

    I had Time Machine backing up our old G5. We got a Mac Pro back in November and I never was able to import the mail from the G5 to the Mac Pro so I left it alone and just kept using mail on the old G5. Well, the G5 took a dump last monday. I currently have the Time Machine backup for that computer connected to our Mac Pro (but not using it as backup yet). So, the mail from the G5 should be on the Time Machine backup right? If so, can I import it into Mail on the Mac Pro?
    I also pulled one of the hard drives from the G5 and have it in the Mac Pro in the 2nd bay just to make sure that HD wasn't dead. It works fine and I tried importing the .mbox files from that drive but it appears that all the mail on that particular drive are from like 2006. So, again, I need to find out how to import mail from the Time Machine drive. Any thoughts?
    10.7.4
    Mail 5.2

    Back up what data? Mail data? I don't have any yet. I haven't used Apple Mail on this Mac Pro yet.
    Edit: Launching Mail and holding Option right afterwards does nothing. Holding down option and then launching Mail does nothing.
    Oooooh.... launching time machine while holding down option......
    Edit again.... I don't have a Time Machine menu because that disk is not currently set up as time machine for the Mac Pro yet. I don't want to use it as a backup for this computer yet. I just want to be able to pull some of the backed up contents from it until I'm set.

  • How to Import an Order via Order Import with multiple shipment lines?

    Good Morning,
    I have a question concerning Oracle's order import functionality. We are importing orders from an outside system and need to consolidate orders by customer id. So if the same customer places 2 orders for different items on the outside system, they should interface to Oracle as a single order to that customer with a shipment line for each ordered item (ex 1.1, 2.1..).
    I know this can be done, but do not know how to implement the solution.
    Can someone please help?
    Thank you!!

    Hi,
    I guess that this zip-file contains a transport. This transportfiles have to be copied in the /usr/trans/data und /usr/trans/cofiles and imported by the transaction STMS.
    Thomas Jung wrote how to do this in this: How to import examples from book "Advanced BSP Programming"
    Perhaps your basis administrator can help you to do this?

  • How to Import 3.0 application in APEX 3.2?

    How to Import 3.0 application in APEX 3.2? These two are on two different machines. It is not upgrade.
    Pls help.

    Hello,
    APEX supports backward compatibility. It means that 3.2 version can run any application that was developed in earlier versions.
    In your case, just export the full application from 3.0 and import it in the 3.2
    Regards,
    Arie.

    How to import and edit a 3D video made with Sony HDR-TD10E camcorder, with .MVC file?
    I have PremierePro-CS5 installed.
    This stereo 3D camcorder (Sony HDR-TD10E), output an .MVC (MultiViewCoding) file, coded in H.264 format.
    This format is already compatible with Bluray3D stereoscopic format.
    1) But, how to edit the .MVC in Premiere?
    2) What plugin should I use (if exists) for PremiereProCS5?
    3) Cineform Neo3D, can manage the .MVC format? Can convert it to Cineform format file, for import it into Premiere?
    4) What software should I use to convert an .MVC video to an AVCHD H.264 file, and import it into PremierePro CS5 or CS5.5 for editing?
    Thanks!
    Horsepower0171.

    Sorry, I am Italian, it is very difficult for me to understand what he says!
    I can just read the english text, or follow the actions of a videotutorial!
    Thus my question is the same:
    -What software can do that?
    -Sony Vegas 10 do the Bluray3D authoring?
    -For MVC editing, should I wait for Adobe CS6? Or is it planned an update for CS5.5?
