How to import the classes?

Hai to all,
May I know how to import the packages in j2me that are not in the midpapi classes.
If I had some new package and I want to import that to my application
For example .
The javax.mail package is with me but I don't know how can I import it to my application.How to set a classpath to it.
(I set a classpath so that the j2me is not accepting the package but j2se is accepting is ther a special way to set a classpath to those package and where to keep those packages i.e in which folder ...)

for encryption: i'd use midp 2.0 and rms, let user write their message, store it encrypted on rms and then send using some sms api. but that's just me ;)

My assignment is below so that you will know exactly what I am asking. I am being asked to create an instance of LinkedList. I know that this is a part of the java.util. So when you create an instance of LinkedList would that be similar to instance variables? or am I misunderstanding something. I have several ideas, so I will start with the first one.

does not exist
import org.vaibhav.swing.plaf.*;
Have you first compiled Plaf.java and saved it in this directory strucuture
/org/vaibhav/swing/plaf/
And also have you set your classpath to the parent directory of org folder.

A class A is not in a package. In another class B, which is in a package (let's say package X) I want to use the class A. Without importing the class A, I get the error "Cannot resolve symbol".
Using the import statement import A; gives the error ". expected".
How can I import that class?

I think not putting a class in a package is a bad practice. Avoid that.

<ORACLE_SOA_HOME>/opmn/logs/default_group~home~default_group~1.log
or
<ORACLE_SOA_HOME>/j2ee/home/log/home_default_group_1/system_*.log
Here server instance name is home, change it with your server instance name.

I have a jar file and wanted to import the class into pl/sql
I have saved the jar file in c:\ora10g\forms\java and have this path to my classpath in default.env file when i tried to import the class . I got an error
Importing Class C:\ora10g\forms\java\XXX.jar...
Exception occurred: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: C:\ora10g\forms\java\XXX/jar
Can anyone help me how to set the classpath correctly.

The path to the jar file (including the jar file name and extension) must be added to the FORMS_BUILDER_CLASSPATH registry variable for the import step. For runtime you need to have it in the default.env.

How to get the .class file for the extended Controller .java file

I did the below steps.
1. Created New OAWorkspace
2. Created New project
3. Imported the page .xml file
4. Added new .java file by extending the controller class
5. Added code in the .java file.
6. Ran the .xml file
As I copied all the folders from Unix box, the page was opened.
But My question was where can I see the .class file the extended controller. It's a .java file. How to compile and get the .class file for this .java file. If I get this .class file, I can go to the page and click the personlize page. and change the Controller name to the new path by ftp ing the new class to the cust.oracle.apps.pos.changeorder.webiui.
Please let me know how to create the .class file.

All are Java files are stored in JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\
In your case the path java would be
JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\ myprojects \cust\oracle\apps\pos\changeorder\webui\
AND
Once you compile the java file in Jdeveloper, Class files get generated @ below path
In your case the path of class would be
JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\ myclasses \cust\oracle\apps\pos\changeorder\webui\

Do you mean "two different layers" as in separate JVMs or "two different layers" as in functional areas running within the same JVM.
In either case, if the first class is actually semantically and functionally the same as the second (and they are always intended to be the same) then import and and use the first class in place of the second. That's beyond any question of how to get the data of the first into the second if and when you need to.
Once you make the breakthrough and use one class instead of two I'd guess that almost solves your problem. But if you want to describe your architecture a little that would help others pin down want you're trying to do.

What I'm trying to do is to create a new Project from the scratch, update the Issues List, not deleting or modifying columns, just creating new columns in order to match the names he (the Project Manager) put in his Issues List, then Export the list to Excel,
and then create a datasheet view matching the Exported list, but here I don't know how to import the list (copy / paste or whatsoever it can be done...)
Do you know how to do it, or do you know another/any method to solve this problem?

Hi José,
2 considerations:
The first one is that (as you experienced) one should not delete or rename any of the predefined columns in the risk/issue list. What you did is the right way, meaning keeping the native column as is and creating new ones based on the business needs. Finally
you just need to create view with the appropriate fields.
Then for importing risks from an Excel list, I can't test it right now, but you should have a datagrid view (MS Access type) allowing you pasting data from Excel.

Hi Ye,
To import the Participant information you entered in Studio into Enterprise:
1) Make sure the participants in Studio have First and Last names. While this is not manditory for Studio, it is for Enterprise.
2) In Studio, right mouse click "Organization" in the Project Navigator -> "Export" -> remember where you export the .xdml file
3) In the Enterprise Process Administrator tool click "Organization" -> click the "Import" tab -> "Organization" -> click "Browse" and select the .xdml file you exported in step 2 -> click "Import"
