2) Will traffic lighting functionality is present in Hyperion Reports (FR), if not present how can achieve this functionality
in FR ?
3) We have user look and feel features like pinboard in the web analyis reports, but are there any certailn features
in Hyperion Reports ??

You can use Conditional Formatting to produce stoplights in Report Studio.
If you know of specific things that you want to see, try reading the manual. I cannot give you details of every type of formatting you may want to see from such a vague post.

    For a quick result, you can use Portal Templates with Portal Styles
    For a better but slower result, you can write HTML templates (page skins), with your own CSS.
    In both cases, you assign the template to the page. You can also use Portal Templates to mantain the structure of the pages, and Page Skins to change the look.

  • How come setting look and feel not successful

    class gameble{
    public static void main(String argv[])throws Throwable{
    try {
    UIManager.setLookAndFeel(
    UIManager.getCrossPlatformLookAndFeelClassName());
    } catch (Exception e) { }
    console cs = new console();
    cs.addWindowListener(new GenericWindowListener(cs.tv));
    cs.setLocation(320,0);
    cs.show();
    with the above codes, i want java look&feel, but it still shows me window look & feel. need your help!!

    CroosPlatformLookAndFeelClassName looks almost exactly like the java default look and feel.
    You can try other L&F like:
    try{
    UIManager.setLookAndFeel(getSystemLookAndFeelClassName());
    //this will take the look and feel of the OS you are working with
    catch(Exception e){
    System.err.println(e.getMessage());
    or
    try{
    UIManager.setLookAndFeel("com.sun.java.swing.plaf.motif.MotiveLookAndFeel");
    //this will take the look and feel of the Unix OS
    catch(Exception e){
    System.err.println(e.getMessage());

  • How to include seconds and millisecond in the CSV file time stamp generated by the SpreadSheet Object?

    I'm Using Lookout 6.02, in a XP Pro Windows Machine, Service Pack 3.
    I have an application that collects data at the rate of 20 samples per second. It works just fine, the CSV File contains all the samples without missing a single one.
    The problem is that the time stamp in the data file only shows hours and minutes. With 20 sample per second, there are 1200 samples per minute. It is hard to figure out in which second or sample number, occurred some events collected. These files are open with Excel and analyzed with Excel. There is no easy way to implement a search or a guidance for knowing the sample number or the exact time in Excel.  My problem is to add the seconds and if possible the milliseconds to the time stamp done by the spreadsheet object.
    Any suggestion?
    Other ways to do the same that includes the time stamp all the way down to milliseconds?

    Create another column with the Now() function, then set the calumn format to hh:mm:ss.s
    expression would be now(trigger) for the date and time or now(trigger)-today(trigger) for just time
    The trigger will cause the expression to stay updated, perhaps using the same trigger for logging the spreadsheet.
    Good luck
    Mike

  • Uniform Look and Feel

    Can anybody please give me hint on how to build pages like that of sites http://www.tomatoland.com and http://www.kids123.com , ie same look and feel in all the pages.One thing that i have tried is creating Unstructured UI templates and using it in portal pages.Then the problem is that i am not able to use HTML files inside content area as portlets so that i can include it in the portal pages.Please give a hint or link for any tutorial for this.
    Regards
    Ziyad

    ORACLE have told us the sites you refer to have been built with heavy ORACLE involvement. They use images and custom code to make the sites look nice and show off the product.
    They are not sites any sensible site manager would build because they will be difficult to maintain.

  • Java Components and Look and Feel

    Can anyone suggest a free look and feel that does not resemble the standard stuff that comes with the JDK?
    Also, Swing seems to be missing some important components like dockable windows, and toolbars. Can anyone suggest some resource that offers interesting swing components?

    Can someone suggest a good API for doing this stuff?
    I would really like to consider using Java for some
    e real world application, but the swing interface
    makes applications look at least 15 years old.Really? My applications look like native windows applications (when run under Windows, at least). Try setting the native look and feel. Search the forum if you don't know how.

  • Customised look and feel for B2B/B2C web shop.

    Dear experts,
                I would like to find out if there is an admin page for SAP E-commerce to customise the look and feel of the webshop?
    Thanks.
    Wein

    Hi Wein,
    To change Look and Feel for Web shop is depends on scenario of eCommerce application i.e. B2B or B2C. B2B has different structure than B2C.
    Web Channel application comes in SAP standard with SAP look and Feel. You have to change look and feel as per client requirement.
    To change look and feel of Both B2B/B2C scenario you have to deal with files like CSS, JSP, Properties, XLF and some time you have to add your custom JAVA, JSP, CSS, Properties files etc...
    To change standard SAP logo youhave to make change in CSS files. Also you have to consider Browser type while changing look and feel because to display your B2B/B2C application correctly in different browser you have to make changes in different CSS.
    You will get better idea with example how to change look and feel in "Dev & Ext. Guide" for Web Shop. You will get this from Service Market place.

  • Extending JComboBox  behavior and changing look and feel

    In order to change JComboBox behavior, usually we will extend the MetalComboBoxUI or WindowsComboBoxUI (for example: for controlling the popup width)
    The problem arise when we want to be able to change the pluggable look and feel: all components got the new look and feel except for the comboboxes.
    A dirty solution can be extending our ComboBoxUI from the new look and feel library but in the case of jgoodies it is even impossible because PlasticComboBoxUI is final

  • NetBeans: Dinamically changing Look and Feel Problem

    Hi there, Java lovers.
    I need some help here!
    I love java, and I used to program my graphical user interfaces by hand. In my applications, there is a dropdown for the user to chose the desired look and feel. Then I save the selected option to a file and on the startup I do something like this:
                UIManager.setLookAndFeel(savedUserSelectedLookAndFeel);That always worked really fine. The look and feel would change and everything worked really well.
    However, programing GUI by hand is really a PITA. So I was seduced by Netbeans. I am using Netbeans 6.0 on Windows XP, and I designed the GUIs really fast now.
    The problem is, the system look and feel works really well, but when I change the look and feel of my application to a different one (Java/Motif/etc..) the look and feel changes but the components positions and sizes becomes all messed up. It really becomes impossible to work with a different look and feel because some components are outside of frames.
    I believe the cause of this is because Netbeans generates the code automatically using Grids and stuff like that, and by doing so, the change of the look and feel becomes messed up. This is a thing that would not happen with my manually created code.
    This is really troubling me. Does someone has the same problem. Is there something I can do? Or do I need to create my GUIs by hand like before?

    Nick -- Thanks for the kind words.
    While we don't have plans to make the look and feel available outside of the IDE,
    you may want to check out some of the other look and feel resources within the
    Java community such as

    There is a distinct interest in developing C# clients purely due to the

    that Swing doesnt perform and doesnt look good. JDK1.4 reportedly has
    numerous performance improvents. What is missing is a good look and feel.
    The Jelly Beans look and feel is quite good (I suspect that it is no
    accident that its flat look is similar to Visual Studion .NET.).
    I think that encouraging developers to remain with Java for GUI clients
    can
    only be good for Java and in turn J2EE as a whole. A pure java environment
    would be much better than a deliberatly mixed environment. Java RMI is
    much
    simpler than SOAP, etc.
    Aside from the ultruistic viewpoint, we would dearly like to use it in

  • Replacing part of a Look and Feel

    Hi, all,
    I have designed a new UI delegate for buttons (Both command buttons and toggle buttons), ones that fit better with the color palette, gradients, fonts, spacing, icons, borders, etc, that we have been using for much of the rest of our GUI. Up to now, I've been replacing the UI delegate of each button after I create it, but I'd like to do a global replacement of this UI for all buttons that use the default UI delegate. That way, I can still use things like JOptionPane.showXXXMessage(), and those buttons will be updated as well.
    The only way I can find to do this is to write a new Look and Feel, but I only have a new UI delegate for buttons, and I would like for any other JComponents to continue to use the default look and feel (that is, the system native look and feel, or which ever look and feel is set to be used in their properties, etc). Does anybody know of a way to tell the UIManager (or some other component it uses) to use my UI delegate for Buttons, and use it's defaults for everything else? Preferably without writing a new Look and Feel?
    Thanks!
    Adam

    To make all buttons use the BasicButtonUI you set the following:
    UIManager.put("ButtonUI", "javax.swing.plaf.basic.BasicButtonUI");I imagine that you can replace the class name with your own UI. Remember to do this after you set the look and feel.

    have any effect. I there anyway i can add a background image to the master html or css code and get it to not stretch?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add background image to sharepoint site with look and feel.
    We can define the Image Url  in the Composed looks (Site Settings > Web Designer Galleries > Composed looks) to add background.
    However, the image will be stretched to fill the viewport at 100%.
    Though we can override the CSS attributes which would allow the image to repeat, but instead I recommend to go the no CSS route and switched the background to a much larger one that would fill the viewport nicely without looking pixelated.

  • MacOS X look and feel

    hi,
    is MacOS X L&F for Windows platforms available?
    venkat

    You can use MacOS laf, but i don't think there's a MacOSX laf avaliable.
    To use the MacOS you'll have to some tricks to make it avaliable... you can find these tricks in the internet (well, you just have to override the isSupportedLookAndFeel() method...)
    If you want the MacOSX laf, you can use some skin, that works just like a look and feel. The SkinLF (www.l2fprod.com) lib has that "aqua" skin avaliable for free (you can find that skin and others at www.javootoo.com)
    There's also another lib, called SLAF (Simple Look And Feel) that does the same thing as SkinLF. But their Aqua skin is not for free, though.
    Victor.

  • Metal Look and Feel

    I am trying to get the metal look and feel which was the default look and feel from 1.4. I used the following code.
    try
    UIManager.setLookAndFeel(new MetalLookAndFeel());
    SwingUtilities.updateComponentTreeUI(this);
    catch (Exception e) {System.out.println("Exception");}
    but I am still getting the ocean look and feel.

    Ocean is the new default theme for Metal. Use
    MetalLookAndFeel.setCurrentTheme(new DefaultMetalTheme())
