How to increase the performance with the case structure?

Hiii, All
I want to stop the looping into my vi, which is occuring because of Case structure, as i ve shown in the figure, i am checking for the trigger, either it is Manual or it is Auto, if auto i am going inside the case and checking the loop of either Auto trigger is for Analog values or for digital values, if it is for analog valus, i am checking the set point that, either P.V. has cross the setpoint or not? if it is then i am starting to write the file and the control comes out again to check the Start trigger again, either it is Auto or manual? and because of these contonuous loops inside the while loop, my other while loops inside the vi, decrease the performance mean they are slowing down also with the current while loop, so i think solution is to stopping these nested loops, but what should i do to stop these nested loops? please suggest something.
Thanks in Advance,
Nishant

You can consider multithreading the single loop and using a synchronization resource to communicate between threads.  You should also consider cutting down on the global variable dependancies which makes the code hard to follow.

  • How is Lion's performance with the baseline 13" MBA (Late 2010) 2GB RAM?  I know it works fine with the baseline 11" 2GB model, but because that's a smaller machine, perhaps the 2GB limit is not so detrimental to performance.  MBA 13" 1.86, 2GB/2010

How does the baseline 13" mba (late 2010, 1.86 ghz, 2GB RAM/128GB) work with OSX LIon? I know the baseline 11" is fine, but does the larger form factor of the MBA 13" require more RAM to be speedy under Lion? I wouldn't think so, but please advise.  Please answer this question ONLY with refrence to the specs listed (13" MBA (late 2010, 1.86 ghz, 2GB RAM, 128gb).  Thanks much!

Overy time, every PC/Mac gets unavoidably bloated with junk like unnecessary files/downloads/apps or left-over files of video-streams/uninstalled apps/caches/... which slow down the overall system. That's why PC/Mac should be formatted (=deleting everything even including the operating system) once in a while to reinstall the operating system (here: Lion) from scratch -hence "clean install". To format a Mac is pretty easy, but all of your files (e.g. images, documents,...) should be saved on external harddrives/CDs/DVDs/Flash-drives... because they are going to be deleted during the formatting.
I'm NOT going to describe you how to format, because it might not be necessary for you.
But what you NEED to do anyway is (if you want Lion):
(( 0. Eventually, but not necessarily: Make a TimeMachine-BackUp to be able to return to Snow Leopard))
    1. Download Lion, BUT DON'T install it (cancel the install-process).
    2. Follow the instructions on this site:
    http://lifehacker.com/5823096/how-to-burn-your-own-lion-install-dvd-or-flash-dri ve
This will give you a legal copy of Lion on a DVD or Flash-Drive, which btw allows you to install it on all of your mac at home. Why do you need copy of Lion? If you encounter problems with lion after a "normal install"(=NOT formatting and NOT clean installing the operating system), you still have the option to make a clean install. A clean install can't be done without the copy of Lion on a DVD or Flash-Drive.

  • Emails sent to me are sometime returned to the sender with the message "Inbox full" even though I have maybe less than 100 emails in the Inbox and I regularly compact them. How can I increase the storage space?

    Question
Emails sent to me are sometime returned to the sender with the message "Inbox full" even though I have maybe less than 100 emails in the Inbox and I regularly compact them. I delete emails from the Inbox and the Sent and Trash boxes to overcome this. How can I increase the storage space to stop this happening?

    Hi terrybohle1938,
Firefox is a web browser. It provides access to online content. Things like your email are handled by the content provider. Who is your email provider? You'll have better luck consulting their documentation.
That being said, deleting only email is a great way to free up space. Another option would be to purchase a "Premium" account if your email provider offers this service. Many times more storage space is offered as part of paid subscription.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • How to configure portal server with the Backend Oracle database

    Hi Portal Experts,
we are planning to install Netweaver 04s sp stack 9 full java edition with Oracle 8i on windows platform.
we have the installation docs of portal but we didn't have any idea about how to configure Portal server with the Backend Oracle database at the time of installation or after ost installation of portal.can anyone provide the documentation about this or guide me how to achieve this.
PLZ share ur views---your help would be highly appreciable.

    HI
if you r working in Sap enterprise portal use for connection url
    jdbc:sap:sqlserver://ilsql01.tlv.sap.corp:1433;DatabaseName=Northwind
ilsql01.tlv.sap.corp:1433 this is your portal url with port number
    Northwind is your database name.
for dirver you need to give
    com.sap.portals.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
in case if you r working on other than sap say windows along with oracle try to use
    Connection URL as jdbc:oracle:<drivertype>:@<database>
    Driver name as oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    ex jdbc:oracle:thick:@localhost:3036:mydb
Oracle implements two types of JDBC drivers:
Thick JDBC drivers built on top of the C-based Net8 client, as well as a Thin (Pure Java) JDBC driver to support downloadable applets. Oracle JDBC drivers are used to create JDBC applications to communicate with Oracle databases.
Oracle extensions to JDBC include the following features:
    Data access and manipulation
    LOB access and manipulation
    Oracle object type mapping
    Object reference access and manipulation
    Array access and manipulation
    Application performance enhancement

  • Performance with the new Mac Pros?

I sold my old Mac Pro (first generation) a few months ago in anticipation of the new line-up. In the meantime, I purchased a i7 iMac and 12GB of RAM. This machine is faster than my old Mac for most Aperture operations (except disk-intensive stuff that I only do occasionally).
I am ready to purchase a "real" Mac, but I'm hesitating because the improvements just don't seem that great. I have two questions:
    1. Has anyone evaluated qualitative performance with the new ATI 5870 or 5770? Long ago, Aperture seemed pretty much GPU-constrained. I'm confused about whether that's the case anymore.
    2. Has anyone evaluated any of the new Mac Pro chips for general day-to-day use? I'm interested in processing through my images as quickly as possible, so the actual latency to demosaic and render from the raw originals (Canon 1-series) is the most important metric. The second thing is having reasonable performance for multiple brushed-in effect bricks.
I'm mostly curious if anyone has any experience to point to whether it's worth it -- disregarding the other advantages like expandability and nicer (matte) displays.
    Thanks.
    Ben

Thanks for writing. Please don't mind if I pick apart your statements.
"For an extra $200 the 5870 is a no brainer." I agree on a pure cost basis that it's not a hard decision. But I have a very quiet environment, and I understand this card can make a lot of noise. To pay money, end up with a louder machine, and on top of that realize no significant benefit would be a minor disaster.
So, the more interesting question is: has anyone actually used the 5870 and can compare it to previous cards? A 16-bit 60 megapixel image won't require even .5GB of VRAM if fully tiled into it, for example, so I have no ability, a priori, to prove to myself that it will matter. I guess I'm really hoping for real-world data. Perhaps you speak from this experience, Matthew? (I can't tell.)
Background work and exporting are helpful, but not as critical for my primary daily use. I know the CPU is also used for demosaicing or at least some subset of the render pipeline, because I have two computers that demonstrate vastly different render-from-raw response times with the same graphics card. Indeed, it is this lag that would be the most valuable of all for me to reduce. I want to be able to flip through a large shoot and see each image at 100% as instantaneously as possible. On my 2.8 i7 that process takes about 1 second on average (when Aperture doesn't get confused and mysteriously stop rendering 100% images).

  • Please help me to increase the performance of the query

    Hello
I am not an oracle expert or developer and i have a problem to resolve.
Below is the query and explaiation plan and seeking the help to improve the performance of the query.
    Our Analysis,
The query runs good, takes less one minute and fetches the results but during peak time it takes 8 minutes
Require anyone suggestion's to improve the query.
The query is generated from the Microsft dll so we dont have SQL code and require some help on tuning the tables.
If tuning the query improves then also fine please suggest for that also.

    Hi,
First-off, it appear that you are querying a view. I would redo the auery against the base table.
Next, look at a function-based index for the DATE column. Here are my notes:
    http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_function_based_indexes.htm
    http://www.dba-oracle.com/oracle_tips_index_scan_fbi_sql.htm
Also, make sure you are analyzed properly with dbms_stats:
    http://www.dba-oracle.com/art_builder_dbms_stats.htm
    And histograms, if appropriate:
    http://www.dba-oracle.com/art_builder_histo.htm
Lasty, look at increasing hash_area_size or pga_aggregate_tagtet, depending on your table sizes:

    Hope this helps. . . .

  • How to: Create a Program with the rs232 Device -Magcard Reader Writer

    Hi Guys!.
Im New in using VB.net 2010 express
and it is my first time to do a project with a device needed to incorporate with it.
I have a device Magnetic Card Reader writer and a i want to create a connection and UI
that interacts with the device alone without using the default application and process.start command.
the main problem i want to be solve is to perform the connection and commands on a single form by allowing the user to read and write the data on a single form.
what i want to do is to create a main form that executes the commands needed to activate the event or allows the user to use the device w/o using the software. with the use of text box and button, while the read executes automatically if the card is swipe
to it end fill out the focus textbox given.
i have here a document that discuss commands for the device and i think it is needed to successfully connect all the process from device to the system
can you help me to do this project? tnx.. :)

    Hi,
    Welcome to MSDN.
I am afraid that this is not the proper forum for this issue, since each  Magnetic Card Reader writer has its API for developers.
You could consider getting supports by connecting with the publisher of that Magnetic Card Reader writer which should have the sample about using its API.
In addition, I did a research, you could refer to
Build a .NET Class for Serial Device Communications with P/Invoke to get how to communicate with that serial device.
    Thanks for your understanding.
    Regards.

I updated my ipod and it deleted my entire library.  How do I restore it with the backup I have so all songs will be available in the cloud; which I paid extra Money to increase memory for?

The backup that iTunes makes does not include apps, music, synced videos and photos. Se:
    iTunes: About iOS backups
You will have to sync the items back form yur computer/iTunes library to the iPod via iTunes. If they are not on the computer you can redownloa d some iTunes purchases by:

  • How to integrate SQL table with the cahce

    Hi,
In normal ASP.net application we use the
sqlCacheDependency to integrate the SQL server with the cache in ASP.NET, so that any change in the SQL table row will replace the cache with the latest data.
How to achieve the same in the Azure cache.
We need to integrate the SQL server with the Azure cache so that any change in the SQL table row should replace the cache with the latest data.

    Hi,
Cache in Azure is not different with ASP.NET, please see
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/gg278356.aspx for more details, Azure provides for multiple types of persistent storage which can be leveraged for caching (Azure SQL Database, Azure Table Storage, Azure Blob Storage etc…). I would suggest
    you read this article (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/blog/cid/425642/Understanding-Windows-Azure-Caching-for-building-high-performance-Websites
), because of we know where the cache data is, so we can sync up the data as expected.
    Best Regards

  • Is it possible to set the performance in Camera Raw, like in PS? I have problems with the performance of the adjustment brush. It is a very bad workflow.

I have problems with the performance of the adjustment brush. It is a very bad workflow.

Had you specified you're on Windows, I wouldn't even have replied. I don't do windows.
Yes, it has been a waste of time for both you and me.
You don't even know how to ask a question properly and you want me to read the FAQs?  Hah!
No one will take your word for "ACR latest version", and "PS CC latest VersionVersion [sic]", as many users believe they are fully updated when they are not. Exact version numbers are needed.
8 GB is considered the realistic minimum to run Photoshop CC, but it's far from optimal—on any platform.  There are other factors that can be at play and which you don't specify, such as the space available on each of your hard drives, whether you have a physically separate, dedicated hard drive for Photoshop's scratch drive, what video card you have and how much VRAM does it have, what your graphics settings are in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, etc.
That's why I had indicated a link for you to read:
Please read this FAQ for advice on how to ask your questions correctly for quicker and better answers:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/419981?tstart=0
If you read that link in its entirety and provide the pertinent information, maybe some of the Windows experts will be able to help you out.
    Now I'm out of here.

  • How to find login user with the largest account

Hello. I'm looking to put together a bash script that can do two things: (1) determine the shortname of the user with the largest account in /Users and (2) look up their full/long name. I'm going to use this script to help identify who the user on a computer and while I know that's possible that a sometime-user may have a larger account than the normal-user on any given computer, the results of a script should be sufficient in most cases for my needs.
I'm not sure the best way to around this. I know that I can use "du -m -d1 /Users" as root:
    root on torchwood
    [ ~ ]$ du -m -d1 /Users
    157 /Users/admin
    128 /Users/johndoe
    70890 /Users/dancollins
    21746 /Users/Shared
    92920 /Users
I know that I can also use "dscacheutil -q user" to get a full list of all users on a system.
How can I get both the short and long name of the user with the largest account in the /Users folder?

We're running JAMF Recon for inventory and my supervisor wants to create a report that lists the primary user of the Mac... assuming that the largest user account may be the primary user. In this case, disk space is not the issue, the top admins simply would like to be able to associate names with individual machines. This isn't the most elegant way to do it and it's not fool-proof, but it'll be correct more often than not, which they're satisfied with.
Can I ask one more question? Using your script, I've started testing with one building and on a number of Mac, the "admin" (shortname) account is turning out to be the largest account. Is there a way to exclude the admin account from consideration?
    Thanks...

  • How to put a check with the date

    Hi,
    I have created a ztable with 3 fields .
    clientcode(3),
    date,--date geneated
    version--- fileversion
i need to update this table everytime i execute the data. Every time version shd get incremented when i execute the program.  When i excute the program next day version shd be updated by '1'.
i wrote the code for version updated i'm not getting the logic how to put a check with the date.
      SELECT *
       FROM zfi_enetflver
       INTO TABLE gt_flver.
      SORT gt_flver DESCENDING.
      CLEAR: gv_dt, v_file.
      CONCATENATE sy-datum6(2) sy-datum4(2) INTO gv_dt.
      READ TABLE gt_flver WITH KEY client_code = gv_clcd.
      IF sy-subrc = 0.
        idx = sy-tabix.
        IF gt_flver-zdate = ' '.
          gt_flver-zdate = sy-datum.
        ENDIF.
        IF gt_flver-version = ' '.
          gt_flver-version = '001'.
          gv_filever = gt_flver-version.
MODIFY gt_flver INDEX idx TRANSPORTING zdate version.
MODIFY zfi_enetflver FROM TABLE gt_flver. "TRANSPORTING version.
          CONCATENATE 'E:\' 'ENET\' gv_clcd gv_dt '.' gt_flver-version INTO v_file.
        ELSE.
          gt_flver-version = gt_flver-version + 1.
          gv_filever = gt_flver-version.
MODIFY gt_flver INDEX idx TRANSPORTING version.
          MODIFY zfi_enetflver FROM TABLE gt_flver .
          CONCATENATE 'E:\' 'ENET\' gv_clcd gv_dt '.' gt_flver-version INTO v_file.
        ENDIF.
      ENDIF.
clientcode is the key field in ztable do i need to make date field key ??
please help me with the logic

You need to implement below logic:
    1. check if field_date = sy-datum. in this case do nothing.
    2. else . move sy-datum to field_date .
    3. modify your internal table with field_date .
    4. populate final table to database table .
    hope you get it.

    Good morning Carol-Ann,
    * Pick table operator for table TIME_ZONE_BY_STATE_TYPE twice, once as source and once as target.
    * Pick an expression operator.
    * Drag STATE_CODE as input to expression
    * Create output column TIME_ZONE in outgroup
    * With the attribute properties of this output, choose Expression
    * Enter here a case statement 'translating' all state_codes to time_zones, e.g. CASE
WHEN INGRP1.STATE_CODE  IN ('AE', 'AP', 'AA', 'MP', 'GU', 'PW', 'FM', 'MH')
    THEN 'X'
WHEN INGRP1.IN ('CT', 'DC', 'DE', 'GA', 'MA', 'MD', 'ME', 'MI', 'NC', 'NH', 'NJ', 'NY', 'OH', 'PA', 'PR', 'SC', 'VA', 'VI', 'VT', 'WV')
    THEN 'E'
    etc.
END* Map this output column to TIME_ZONE column of target
    * Set Loading Type of target to Update, choose No Constraints.
    Hope this helps.
