How to input code into iWeb to bypass iframes
I'm trying to install a customer support chat system into my iweb website. I've installed it OK using the HTML widget so the chat system works but the iframes block the function of 'invites'. Is there anyway of installing the code without using the HTML widget and therefore without the frames and be able to position the chat button where I want it.
In safari there is a menu called 'Develop' and within that an option 'show web inspector'. Is it possible to solve this problem using that function?
If you do not want to use the HTML Snippet, which is an iframe by itself, add a textbox to the page, add some text to find it later, and publish the page.
Open the published page in a HTML editor of your choice.
Find the div with the text and replace it with your code.
Save the page.
An iframe and a frame are not the same. So make sure you understand the words you use.
And no, the web inspector in Safari will not solve you problem.

Anything you paste in the HTML Snippet is your responsibility. iWeb does not care whether it works or not. It happily publishes the stuff you paste.

How to pack code into application?
I'm interesting fro development cell phone application. I noticed many topics about code, samples but how to pack code into particular application? Which platform or language(Java or any other) I should use for packing code into final application? I prefer no particular platform or phone. But I have Nokia. That's the reason why ask you. How to input data into an arraylist from a text file?
I am trying to take data from a text file and put that data into an arraylist. First here is the text file:

The first number below the arraylists in the text file represents the number of items in the list. The second number below the arraylists represents the total value of the items in the arraylists.

How to input data into a table with columns?
I am trying to input data into a table. My table have 5 columns and an unlimited amount of rows. I created a program in LabView that enters the data into the table but it enters all of the data in one row. I would like to enter the first set of information into the first column, the second set of info into the second column and so on. I am including a copy of the program that I am working with. I would like the number of runs to be put into the first column (it should count down like number 5 in first row, number 4 in second row, number 3 in third row, and so on). I would like the applied voltage to be placed in the second column, and so on. Any help or information will be greatly appreciated. I am working with LabView Version 6.1 and 8.0. I am submitting the vi from 6.1.

I looked at your code and I think you might be making things too complicated. I've included a very simple example that demonstrates how to write a 2D array of integers to a table. Hope you find this helpful. It is in LV 7.1.

Integrating tracking codes into iweb.....
I was so successful in solving a problem I was having here last night that I thought Id throw another question out that has been baffling me, not hard to do I might add, how do you integrate tracking codes at the beginning of each page so that Google analytics for example can track the traffic on your iweb sites??
This is also a requirement if you are using some affiliate programs so it is really very important to do. Any help anyone out there can give is VERY much appreciated! This is without a doubt the best information forums I have ever read!!....Thanks again in advance for any help on this subject!!...Matt

adding GA code in HTML Snippet will cause the code to track widget markup pages, which will give inaccurate results.
that at this time there is no way to enter tracking code into the pages.
This is true, because they don't know iweb inner working bits.
But I can prove them wrong, here is example of HTML code inserted in my page:

the floating nav bar and I have urchin.js loaded from google are coded directly to the page (you need to look at Safari Activity window)
They suggested I go to www.apple.com/feedback then select the appropriate product (iweb) and seen in a message on the subject directly to the engineers.
I suggest all that are having a problem with this go ahead and send a message to them as well, you know what they say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease!!

How to Upload Flash into iWeb from Quick Time?
Hi,
I have created a flash logo in Keynote and have exported it to QuickTime. Not quite sure what to do now as to how I go about getting it into iWeb on the page.
I copied Roddy's code and placed it in an html snippet on my site and it just shows up as a quicktime player.
I am publishing to an external server. Do I need to upload the flash/quicktime file to my media folder on my server?

ThanksIf you created it with Keynote '09 there is no option to export a .swf as there was in '08.
I think the illustration I referred you to is a QT in an iFrame because Keynote '08 can't export the 3D transition as flash. I guess that's why they dropped it in '09.
The settings are:

I would like to know what version of Adobe acrobat can allow me to create a document, where clients can input data into it?

Hi there. I'm trying to install JSKit Echo (comments) into my webpage, using iWeb through an FTP server. I need to paste an HTML snippet onto the homepage to proceed, but I can't! For some reason it just won't 'stick'. I've pasted other snippets in with no problem. Baffled! Anyone got any thoughts?
If you paste the code in a HTML Snippet, you will not see anything in the widget. Not with this code. Not in iWeb. Publish, js-kit Echo is displayed on your website.
You have to enlarge this 'empty' widget before publishing (height ~1500 px. you will have to enlarge more later)

Has anyone solved how to input audio into the new iMac 27 inch?
The 27 inch iMac does not have an audio input socket. Is there any way that this can be accomplished?

How do I manually enter code into an iweb page??
iweb blogging is not bad; but there are times when I want to enter html code by hand; maybe a form script or CSS code.
I tried inputting the code into the blog.html page, but it will vanish every time I update iweb.
So; how can I manually add code to an iweb page? Surely this is possible?
thanksOf course it's possible. Lots of us do that on our pages already. Two things to keep in mind...1. No way to do this via iWeb directly, so it involves editing the published html files, and 2. Because iWeb republishes the html files whenever you update the your webpage, you will lose your changes and have to redo them to add your HTML back.
The general directions are as follows (using banner code as an example)...
1. Decide where you want your banner and know exactly what dimensions you need.
2. Insert a text box onto your page and adjust its size to exactly your dimensions.
3. Type in some uniquely identifiable text like, "BANNERCODEHERE" without changing the font or anything else...just type it in.
4. Publish your page with iWeb.
5. Find the html file associated with your published page (either on your iDisk or in a folder depending on how you published) and open it in any text editor (like Microsoft Word, or Textedit, or anything).
6. Scroll through the html file and locate your placeholder text, e.g. "BANNERCODEHERE".
7. Replace the placeholder text with your html code and publish your page.
That's it. You should see your html coded element show up where you placed the text box.

I have created a text variable "ZD_CURR" with processing type customer exit.
I have written the following abap code but its not working.
DATA : LV_CURR type /BI0/OICURRENCY.
WHEN 'ZD_CURR'.
IF I_STEP = 2.
CLEAR XTAB.
READ TABLE I_T_VAR_RANGE INTO XTAB WITH KEY VNAM = '0S_COM_M'.
SELECT SINGLE CURRENCY FROM /BI0/PCOMP_CODE INTO LV_CURR WHERE COMP_CODE = XTAB-LOW.
L_S_RANGE-LOW = LV_CURR.
L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'EQ'.
CLEAR E_T_RANGE.
APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.
ENDIF.
Pls let me know how to resolve this issue or what modification can be done to this code.
Is there a way where we can debug customer exit code for variables.

You should debug your code to check behaviour of it.
Just set external breakpoint (or create checkpoint via tc SAAB) and run your query.
You may run query via RSRT.

How to embed new youtube embed code in iweb
For some reason neither the embed code pasted into an HTML snippet nor the youtube URL pasted into a youtube widget display the youtube video when I publish the site.
The youtube video shows up in iweb the moment I paste either the URL into the youtube widget or the embed code into the html widget, but when I publish it, the youtube video doesn't display.
I thought it might have to do with the old vs. new embed code on youtube - the new makes it work as html 5 as well, but I've tried both the new and old code and can't get it to show up.
The last bit of info is that I have noticed that when i publish the changes, the snippet folder in the folder that gets published isn't updating - there doesn't seem to be anything in that folder that gets changed when i add, delete or edit any widget.The YouTube widget no longer works as it was dependent on software on the MMe servers which are no more.
How are you publishing the site? Are you publishing to a folder on your hard drive and then uploading to the server with a 3rd party FTP client? Does the video play when you access the locally published site with your browser? If so then the problem lies with the uploading of the files.
If you're using iWeb 2 (08) be aware that there are compatibiliy problems with it and Mt. Lion when it comes to publishing. So check the site locally to make sure all is well before uploading.
