I want to insert a XML Document using xsql?

tell me anyone step step procedure using xsql;this is very urgent Use use <xsql:insert-request> to insert your data into the database.
example
<xsql:insert-request xmlns:xsql="urn:oracle-xsql" connection="demo" table="TC_UTIL_CONFIG" columns="ID, NAME, VALUE" />
The above inserts the input request to the table and inserts the colums with the values. The input XML should look like the following
<ROWSET>
<ROW>
<ID>1</ID>
<NAME>kesav</NAME>
<VALUE>good</VALUE>
<ROW>
<ROW>
<ID>2</ID>
<NAME>kumar</NAME>
<VALUE>good</VALUE>
</ROW>
</ROWSET>
If your request doesn't match the above you can use transform attribute to specify an xsl to convert the input to match the above xml.
If you submit your request from form you should use the transform stylesheet to convert the request to the XML. If you use Microsoft.XMLHTTP to post the xml document which matches the xml then you don not need any transformation. -
How to insert date from preparedstatement
hi,
I have a problem here trying to insert date into my table. but the problem is the date is supposed to be grabbed from the user input which is in textfield. However, I did a short cut and made the list of data into and array of String. so when i tried to insert the data into the table it gives me this error:
ORA-01861: literal does not match format string
so, I would like to ask if there is a solution to insert date into the table with the use of prepared statement..
for (int i=0; i<str_val.length; i++){
ps.setString(i+1, str_val);
ps.executeUpdate();
con.commit();
this is how i insert data using prepared statement. but the date is causing problem. Helps please....
Thanks in advanceI have a problem here trying to insert date into my
table. but the problem is the date is supposed to be
grabbed from the user input which is in textfield.So you have a string which is supposed to contain a date (or timestamp.)
Presumably you verified it.
You have two choices...
1. Create your SQL for your prepared statement using the oracle function todate(). You will need to use the exact format string, as defined by the function, that corresponds to the text field you have.
2. Use SimpleDateFormat to parse the string into a date. Use another SimpleDateFormat to parse the date into the format expected by oracle. -
How to insert data from *.dmp file to oracle 11g using Oracle SQL Develope
hi
i backup my database using PL/SQL developer and made *.dmp file
how to insert data from *.dmp file to oracle 11g using Oracle SQL Developer 2.1.1.64
and how to make *.dmp file from sql*plus ?
thanks in advancePl/Sql developer has a config window, there you choose the exec to do the import/export.
Find it and his home version, it may be exp or expdp, the home version is the version of the client where the exp executable is.
Then use the same version of imp or impdp to execute the import, you do not need to use Oracle SQL Developer 2.1.1.64. If you want to use it, you must have the same version in the oracle home that exp/imp of sql developer use. -

Insert data using peoplesoft webservice gives component API error
Hi,
I am using jdeveloper 11g to consume a peoplesoft webservice using the wsdl file and JAX-Ws approach to build the proxy.
I have been successfull in getting to work the "get", "find" methods for the webservice but while trying to access the create/Update(inserting data) method, it gives me the following exception.
In CREATE method

From the exception it is not clear what is missing or where am i going wrong. I have provided all the mandatory values required by the method.
The create method generated needs almost 40 parameters, hence i am intializing all of them and sending it.
Few parameters are INOUT or out mode, depending on that i even created the required holder etc.
I dont have any access to peoplesoft logs, is there a way to debug this further.
Basically i am stuck here as i am not able to decode this exception.
Can anyone tell me where is it failing, is it a some formation error or is it creating a query at db and getting a sql error??
as mentioned earlier, its very difficult to get access to db resources hence its becmong very difficult to debug the error.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Ashvini

in am i wrote the code:
public void NewoperationManagerLogic()
ManagerCustomTableVOImpl vo1=getManagerCustomTableVO1();

if(!vo1.isPreparedForExecution())
vo1.executeQuery();
Row row=vo1.createRow();
vo1.insertRow(row);
in createPG processrequest co:

its very urgent.

Edited by: its urgent on Dec 25, 2011 9:31 PMHi ,
1.)You must have to create a EO based on custom table and then VO based on this EO eventually to save the values in DB
2.) the row.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED); is used to set the the status of row as inialized ,this is must required.
3.) When u will create the VO based on EO the viewattributes will be created in VO which will be assigned to the fields to take care the db handling .
You must go thtough the lab excercise shipped with you Jdeveloper ,there is a example of Create Employee page ,that will solve your number of doubts.
Thanks

Expected date for Jdeveloper 11g production version
i am planning to start development with jdeveloper (Forms 6i background). but with latest version.
If you can help me out of dates of jdeveloper 11g production release.
it will save my troubleshooting time.
Also help me out some starting point to be successful projects using jdeveloper.
In forms successful,
It is so simple.
1. create table.
2. use forms wizard (block and layout).
3. make layout change as per your need.
4. add buttons and validation.
5. done.
But in Jdeveloper.
What is the best practice. ??
thanks in advance.Hi,
there will be a technology preview 3 out shortly to christmas. There exist no concrete release date of JDeveloper 11 production.
Start at otn.oracle.com/products/jdev and check some of the tutorials (OBE). Note that for you to learn building JSF web applications, I suggest to use the 10.1.3 tutorials and how-tos.

Access pre-insert data using ViewObjects
Hi,
I’m trying to access pre-insert data (before super.doCommit() execution) using viewobjects, but I only obtain committed data. Is it possible to obtain pre-insert data using viewobjects?
Here the Java code:
String amDef = "oracle.srdemo.model.AppModule";
String config = "AppModuleLocal";
ApplicationModule am =
Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(amDef, config);
ViewObject vo = am.findViewObject("DatetestView1");
System.out.println("Query will return "+ vo.getEstimatedRowCount()+" rows...");
vo.executeQuery();
while (vo.hasNext()) {
Row curPerson = vo.next();
System.out.println(vo.getCurrentRowIndex()+". "+
curPerson.getAttribute("Id")+" "+
curPerson.getAttribute("Dataini"));
Configuration.releaseRootApplicationModule(am, true);
I'm using JDeveloper 11g, a Fusion Web Application and ADF Business Components
Thanks in advance.Hi Timo,
According to your instructions, I obtained current ApplicationModule and the issue was solved.
Here the Java Code to get ApplicationModule from Iterator:
BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
DCIteratorBinding dciter = (DCIteratorBinding)bindings.get("DatetestView1Iterator");
DCDataControl dc = dciter.getDataControl();
ApplicationModule am = (ApplicationModule)dc.getDataProvider();
AppModuleImpl am2 = (AppModuleImpl)am;
ViewObject vo = (DatetestViewImpl)am2.findViewObject("DatetestView1");
Thank you vey much,

Error while insert data using execute immediate in dynamic table in oracle

then when we tried to insert the data into the dynam_table with the subject_marks object as null,we received the following error..

(SELECT887684 wrote:
ORA-00904: "SUBJECT_OBJ": invalid identifier
ORA-06512: at line 7The problem is that your variable subject_obj is not in scope inside the dynamic SQL you are building. The SQL engine does not know your PL/SQL variable, so it tries to find a column named SUBJECT_OBJ in your SAM1 table.
If you need to use dynamic SQL for this, then you must bind the variable. Something like this:
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'insert into op_sample (select id,name,:bind_subject_obj from sam1) ' USING subject_obj;Alternatively you might figure out to use static SQL rather than dynamic SQL (if possible for your project.) In static SQL the PL/SQL engine binds the variables for you automatically. -

Hi Andy,
Sorry, forgot to post the Source that's use by both AL1.1.4 and AL2.0.1.
Source
begin
insert into scott.json_demo values(:title,:description);
end;
it's failing during the insert?
Yes, it failed during insert using AL2.0.1.
So the above statement produces the following error message:
The symbol "" was ignored.
ORA-06550: line 2, column 74:
PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "" when expecting one of the following:
begin case declare end exception exit for goto if loop mod
null pragma raise return select update while with
<an identifier> <a double-quoted delimited-idThis suggests to me that an unprintable character (notice how there is nothing between the double quotes - "") has worked its way into your PL/SQL Handler. Note how the error is reported to be a column 74 on line 2, yet line 2 of the above block should only have 58 characters, so at a pure guess somehow there's extra whitespace on line 2, that is confusing the PL/SQL compiler, I suggest re-typing the PL/SQL handler manually and seeing if that cures the problem. -
How to insert data from site into DB?
Hi
Does anyone know how to insert data into a database from a
website?
I have created a Registration form for users to register to
my web site. With this I would like the data they have entered to
be stored in a MySQL database. I have created the a form and used
the record insertion form wizard.
When they have registered, I need to be able to check their
username every time they log in.
If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated,
thanks Lou.LoobieLouLou wrote:

You can't do it with JavaScript. You need to use a
server-side language
like ASP, ASP.NET, ColdFusion, or PHP. Dreamweaver automates
a lot of
the process for you, but you need to choose your server model
first.
It sounds as though you are completely new to this. First ask
your
hosting company whether it supports a server-side language,
and if so,
which one. Then open Dreamweaver help (F1) and read the
section titled
"Preparing to Build Dynamic Sites".
Working with server-side languages and databases isn't
difficult, but
it's not something you can pick up in five minutes or be
shown how to do
in a couple of forum posts.
If you can't make up your mind which server-side language to
use,
ASP.NET is the most difficult of the four I mentioned. ASP is
popular,
but is no longer actively developed, so will eventually die
out
(although it will take many years to do so). ColdFusion and
PHP are
relatively easy to learn. I prefer PHP, but all of them do
basically the
same thing. However, you must choose one; they cannot be
mixed.

*Urgent*How to insert data from MS SQL to the table that create at the adobe form?
Hi,
I'm using Adobe life cycle designer 8 to do my interactive form. I would like to ask how to insert data from MS SQL to the table that i have created in my adobe interactive form?
I really need the information ASAP as i need to hand in my project by next week... i really appreciate any one who reply this post.
ThanksTou need to do a couple of things
1. On the Essbase server, set up an odbc system connection to your MySQL database
2. In the load rule , go to the file menu and select open SQL data source and in the data source put in your SQL statement . A couple of hints. Where it says Select, don't put in the word select and where it say from don't put in from. The system adds them for you. The easiest way ti enter a SQL statement is to do it all in the select area So if your SQL would normanlly say select * from mytable just enter the code as * from mytable in the select area
The click ol/retrieve and enter in your connection info. Itshould bring data back into the load rule. Save the load rule and use it -

thx but how i can mask data with above give environment?What does "mask data" mean to you and what is the environment you are referring to?
Telling us that you are using 11.1 helps. But it is far from a complete description of the environment. What edition of the database are you using? What options are installed? What Enterprise Manager packs are licensed? Is any of this changable? Could you license another option for the database or another pack for Enterprise Manager if that was necessary?
What does it mean to you to "mask data"? Do you want to store the data on disk and then mask the data in the presentation layer when certain people query it (i.e. store the patient's social security number in the database but only present ***-**- and the last 4 digits to certain sets of employees)? Do you want to hide entire fields from certain people? Do you want to change the data stored in the database when you are refreshing a lower environment with production data? If so, do you need and/or want this process to be either determinisitic or reversable or both?

Everything I have read about Heartbleed is enough to make you go back to the age before computers. However, even if you did, the support systems for everything these days is computer based. So there's no escaping it. Plus this is only the beginning.

ATI 9800 - 128mb vs 256mb - speed?
I've come full cycle after discovering the ATI 9600 does not physically fit in my G4 AGP sawtooth because I have now learned that I have an AGP 2x slot. The 9600 is only for 4x and 8x. So now my choices are between the 128mb card or the 256mb card. T
