How to insert Generation Date?

I have RoboHelp for Word 7.0
When I "Generate PrimaryLayout", I would like the current date to be inserted into a particular field in one of the topics.
How do I achieve that?

Type>Text Variables>Modification or Output Date
You can modify the variable by editing it
MMMM YY for June 10 etc
Modification date will change when you save the document (F5 to refresh)
Output will change on output of the file.

For the first time when i complied i got the errors as :

So i logged in as sys & grant the permission to execute on UTL_FILE to ridb (user):

So, it got compiled successfully but when i execute it gives me error as:
Source does not have a runnable target.
What does this mean?
So I browse through forum & i got to know that i need to initial the UTL_FILE_DIR ="C:/OracleProject" in init.ora
So can i edit the init.ora with notepad.When i tried to do that it says permission denied
In my system it shows the init.ora file in path C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\config\scripts
but there is also other file initXETemp in the same path do i need to do the changes in it.
I have tried even editing the SPFILE as mentioned below:
C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\dbs\SPFILEEXE - I had edit this file using notepad & set the value of UTL_FILE_DIR ="C:/OracleProject". So next time when i restarted i'm unable to log on to the database.
So i had reinstall the software again.
Could you please let me know how to proceed..

You need to set the DEFERRED clause of the constraint when you create your foreign key as DEFERRABLE by which you can move the constraint validation at transaction level.
In an interview point of view that could be a reasonable answer. But in real time this could be strongly questionable.
Here is an example
SQL> create table emp1 (empno number, ename varchar2(10))

I created date parameter "From Date" - "to Date" . Item Type Date Picker.
- Set Default Value : Sysdate;
- Default Value Type : PL/SQL Expression.
When i run the page it shows current date , but when i see session state report of that page there Item Value is Empty and Status is also Empty.
The result in impact is that i created linked on data that displays, That link doesnt Work because of Item Value is Empty and Status is also Empty.
Kindly guide how i inserted value in Item Value and in status.

When you set the value of an item in the source, the value is set in the HTML DOM not the session state.
To set value in session state use Computation or Process.

I have to insert/update a date column while creating a new item, but the problem is i am able to insert/update only date but i need both date and time along with AM/PM.
By using these 3 lines i am able to insert/update only date.

stmtPrep.setDate(33, new java.sql.Date(dateLong));
Below code retrives the date exactly what i need but unable to pass in the statement:

I was just wondering, I got this list of dates that i want to change with this handler that i call datachanger, i use it to seperate dates like these 1994-11-07 and reassemble them. Now what i would like to do is to reassemble them in such a way that i can insert every item in datalist in numbers cells. Now it gives me a weird error. How do i have to change the things between bas3 and bas2 to get it to fit in a numbers cell without an error? or do i have to use the quoted form of it before i can insert it?

I have a question regarding on how to insert the record even the condition being used by a "before insert trigger" returned null.
The scenario is:
2 tables have the same structure:
Table A (Name varchar2 (100), No Number)
Table B (Name_1 varchar2 (100), No Number)
A script is using to load the data into table A daily, and a “before insert trigger” is being used to get the value for A.Name = B.Name whenever the condition A.No equals to B.No.
If the B.No exists, then the trigger work fine, otherwise the records will be rejected, this is not the way we wanted, so I just wonder, is there any way to load all the data to the other fields but still using this trigger ?

Either amend the select in the trigger that gets the name value to not raise a NO_DATA_FOUND exception (e.g. change "select name..." to "select min(name)..." ) or handle the NO_DATA_FOUND exception in an exception handler.
e.g.

How to insert huge data through XSU

Did any of you try to insert XML data into Oracle database? We have huge data (like thounds of rows), and if we put these data into XML file, it will be a huge file. Can someone give us some ideas on how to take care of it? We encountered insufficient memory message while executing.
Can the XML parser directly parse character stream rather than a XML file? Is there some limitation on the stream size?

Steve we actually picked up your book a few days, we will examine chapter 6, and the advanced section of xml loading....
but I am still suprised that the OracleXMLSave utility uses a dom parser to inject the data...seams very inefficient, since the data really isn't being manipulated at high level..
does anyone know if the source code is available to these utilities?
I am beginning to believe that is more effecient to simply convert the XML data to sqlLoader format, and insert the data that way, since this would load much much faster.
wouldn't it?
