How to insert JSF component  between selectItems

I want to implement a interface like below
(HTML outputs)
<inpu type="radio" name="type" value="1"> current <br>
<inpu type="radio" name="type" value="2"> use my input <input type="text" name="other"><br>
<inpu type="radio" name="type" value="3"> no
but i cannot write code like this, for f:selectItem doesnot allow other components inserted in
<h:selectOneRadio value="#{bean.type}" layout="pageDirection">
<f:selectItem itemLabel="s1" itemValue="1"/>
<f:selectItem itemLabel="s2" itemValue="2"><h:inputText value="other"/></f:selectItem>
<f:selectItem itemLabel="s3" itemValue="3"/>
</h:selectOneRadio>
how to implement this?
Thanks
David.

<h:outputText id="outputlabel1" value="LabelText"/></td>
    <h:selectOneRadio id="selecValue" value="#{backingBean.destinationValue}">
     <f:selectItems value="#{backingBean.selectionList}"/>
     </h:selectOneRadio>this is if you have a backing bean which contains a List of javax.faces.model.SelectItem's and the destination Value for your selection (of course the same kind of value).
or
<h:selectOneRadio id="selecValue" value="#{backingBean.destinationValue}">
     <f:selectItem id="val1" value="value1">
     <f:selectItem id="val2" value="value2">
     <f:selectItem id="val3" value="value3">
     <f:selectItem id="val4" value="value4">
</h:selectOneRadio>I hope this helps and solves your problem. (if I got your question right =) ..)

  • How to distribute html component between different web applications?

    Hello. I have a project which consists of several modules. Each module is a separate web-application which can be deployed on a separate application server. All modules must have one menu. The problem is how to implement the menu.
    It would be good to maintain it as a separate project and to distribute it between modules as a jar archive. I have an idea to create a custom tag library which will generate and insert html code where it is necessary. But modules can look different, they can use jsf, richfaces or jsp for the page rendering and the menu must suit the page. So I think that the data and the rendering mechanism should be separated somehow.
    Thanks.

    Starting with Servlet Spec 2.3 (I think) the push has been towards complete web applications; even if it means duplicate files in each (disc space is exponentially cheaper than it was a decade ago).
    The easiest way to manage duplicate files is to keep a single copy for development and use build tools like ANT, Maven, etc.. to assemble your web applications at build time.

  • Slideshow - How to insert music file between two existing files.

    I have a lengthy slideshow with different music files dropped into the background (that is, they display behind the images when in Slideshow Split View). I need to insert an audio file between two of these background music files, but Aperture is not allowing it. Removing all of the music files (1 hour slideshow) and re-adding them is not an appealing option.
    Certainly we should be able to rearrange (or insert) background music without have to remove all existing music and reapplying? Or, is this, in fact, not possible presently?

    IFF you legally own the tune, you may be able to do it, but using a computer and iTunes to sync the devices.

  • How to insert interstitial video between menu and track?

    I've been making simple menus in DVD Studio Pro, but I'm trying to make a Menu for someone who wants a short video to play before the Menu loads (on start up) and then a short video to play after you make a Menu selection (but before it actually plays that selection). I don't have the first idea how to do that. Can anyone help? Thanks so much!

    First play: Track 1
    End jump track 1: Main menu
    Main menu has, lets say, 3 buttons representing 3 different videos.
    Track 1: Intro video
    Track 2: The video to play before each of the 3 other videos.
    Track 3: Video/button 1
    Track 4: Video/button 2
    Trach 5: Video/button 3
    Create 3 Stories in track 2, each with a different end jump.
    Story 1: End jump track 3
    Story 2: End jump track 4
    Story 3: End jump track 5
    Link stories to buttons and you should be home free.

  • How to insert an item between two components

    Hi,
    I have two links one below the other, say suppose i click the
    first link, i have to display
    a list box right under it and push the second link below this
    newly formed list box.
    Please suggest how to go about it.
    Thanks,

    Please read thru the concept of states. Essentially, clicking
    on the fist like would switch to a new state that would use
    addChild to add this list box.
    something like: (right from the Flex Builder help)
    <mx:states>
    <mx:State name="Register">
    <mx:AddChild relativeTo="{loginForm}"
    position="lastChild">
    <mx:target>
    <mx:FormItem id="confirm" label="Confirm:">
    <mx:TextInput/>
    </mx:FormItem>
    </mx:target>
    </mx:AddChild>
    <mx:SetProperty target="{loginPanel}" name="title"
    value="Register"/>
    <mx:SetProperty target="{loginButton}" name="label"
    value="Register"/>
    <mx:SetStyle target="{loginButton}"
    name="color" value="blue"/>
    <mx:RemoveChild target="{registerLink}"/>
    <mx:AddChild relativeTo="{spacer1}" position="before">
    <mx:target>
    <mx:LinkButton id="loginLink" label="Return to Login"
    click="currentState=''"/>
    </mx:target>
    </mx:AddChild>
    </mx:State>
    </mx:states>

  • How wrap Flash into JSF Component?

    I need to make Flash which will be wrapped by JSF component. Flash component will be placed on the page and it presents some data by the user request. Page will not be reloaded, all transfering will be between Flash and Server. What architectural solutions I may use?
    Well be thankfulness for any infomation about it.
    Edited by: JavaKirill on Dec 12, 2008 7:31 AM

    You normally represent a flash object using HTML <object> tag.
    JSF components normally just renders HTML.
    I don´t see how wrapping it in a JSF component would be impossible.

  • How to insert a local member in a column between two different nested row dimensions

    Hi Experts,
    We have a report which has two dimensions in rows with nesting. The dimensions are PROGRAMS and ACCOUNT.
    I have attached the layout of the report.
    We need to have a column for local member in between Col A and Col B, wherein we have to pull the long description of the program.
    We have long description of programs maintained in a property of PROGRAM dimension
    So if we can insert a column between Col A and Col B, we can have a local member in it with formula "EPMMemberProperty" refering to Col A
    Currently we are are not able to insert a local member in between Col A and Col B in EPM 10 SP 14 version because its not a data range
    I remember we used to do it in BPC 7.5 using expansion ranges to insert a blank column. So I believe similiar thing can be done in EPM 10
    I have tried the option of VBA macro to insert a column before Col A and populate the long description and then hide Col A. It works. But I dont want to complicate it with Macro, and want to use EPM functionality to achieve the same.
    Please advise if this is possible with BPC 10 to have a column for local member in between Col A and Col B.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Regards,
    Shiva

    Hi Sathish,
    Thanks a lot for replying. Since I had to insert the local member in between two dimensions, I couldnt use the position option in the local members. Because positions were staring from the data range.
    How ever I have tried the suggestion given by Varaprasad and Bishwajith above and it worked.
    Thanks,
    Shiva

  • How to load a class dynamically (via reflection) in a jsf-component

    Hi all,
    I am writing my own jsf component and I would like to do it generically. Therefore I have an attribute, where the developer can pass a fully qualified classname, which I want to use to instantiate. But I have a Problem with the classloaders, everytime I get a ClassNotFound-Exception during debugging.
    Does anybody know how it is possible, to to get the most parent classloader?
    Currently I am even not able to load a class, which is in the same package like all other compontent-classes.
    Thank you very much in advance
    Thomas

    Within web applications, I believe it is recommended to use Thread.getContextClassLoader(). Keep in mind that web applications require different classloader semantics than regular Java applications. The class loader which gets resources from the WAR is favored over others, even when this violates the normal class loading conventions.

  • How to add properties to a custom JSF component?

    Hello, everybody!
    I've just developed my first custom JSF component. It's a data pager and it is working pretty well. But now I want to be able to use some of it attributes in my backing beans at runtime. I mean, I want to bind it to component in the JSF page. It already has a binding attribute in the tld file, but I want to be able to accesss two values that the renderer of my custom component calculate inside it, which would relieve me from calculating these values manually in the backing beans. So, I would like to know how to make these values external to the component.
    By now this is my custom pager class:
    import javax.faces.component.UICommand;
    public class UIPaginadorDados extends UICommand
    }You can see that it has no logic because all the logic is in the renderer class:
    import javax.faces.render.Renderer;
    public class PaginadorDadosRenderer extends Renderer
        // logic here
    }As I said I want to be able to do the following in my backing beans:
    private UIPaginadorDados pager = new UIPaginadorDados();
    // and later...
    pager.getCurrentPage();
    pager.getPageCount();In the JSF page:
    // I already can do this, because I have a binding attribute
    <urca:paginadorDados binding="#{backingBean.pager}" />I suppose that I'll have to create the properties getCurrentPage() and getPageCount() in the component class, UIPaginadorDados, but I don't know how to get the values to the properties from the renderer class. I don't even know if this is how I should do it.
    So I would appreciate a lot your help about this subject.
    Thank you.

  • How to make Javascript access standard JSF component

    Hello all,
    I'm in need of a proper javascript code that access standard jsf component.
    Like we do for html tags;
    if( el.tagName.toLowerCase() != 'select')
    I need to do the same thing for a jsf tag i.e; <h:selectOneMenu>. How to make javascript access <h:selectOneMenu> like it does with <select> tag ? Please let me know asap. Extremely sorry if the question is kind of stupid....cause I'm a beginner for JSF environment.
    Any sort of help, suggestion or advice would highly be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Ummmm, I may be off the beaten path, but by the time your javascript is called the h:selectOneMenu would be a select tag within the dom. You should be able to reference that tag as you normally would.

    As far as I remeber, Edwin Goei's examples are the
    closest thing to the info you are looking. He has an
    example component, but don't remember if they're
    AJAX enabled. Check it on
    http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Javatools/CustomCompone
    tLibraries.
    Best regards
    Antonio.Thanks for the plug. I've been meaning to update that article. Writing an AJAX component is similar to writing other kinds of components but the developer uses AJAX techniques. The latest version of the popup calendar which is checked into the bpcatalog project of java.net uses Dojo which also has some support for AJAX. I haven't yet had time to update the article yet, unfortunately.
