How to Install Lomboz Plugin for Eclipse

Hi,
Can anyone please give me the steps for installing Lomboz plugin in Eclipse 3.0.
i have tried, but i didn't achieve this. so please help me.

Frankly, I haven't installed Lomboz but I'm working with Sysdeo.
But in the "Apache Tomcat Bible" which I use, there is an explanation about both plugins.
I hope this will help you out.
1) Go to www.objectlearn.com and navigate to the Lomboz section. There you can download the plugin.
You must download 3 files :
lomboz.096.zip
install.pdf
tutorial.pdf
Before beginning the installation, you must have installed Tomcat first.
2) To install the plugin, extract the contents of the lomboz-zipfile and put them into C:\eclipse. The directory plugins\com.objectlearn.jdt.j2ee should now be created under the Eclipse home.
3) Now you should restart Eclipse and go to Window - Customize perspective. Expand File-> New and make sure all the Lomboz items are selected.
Under Available items, expand Window -> Show View tree and check Lomboz J2EE View.
Finally, expand the Other tree and check the Lomboz Actions items.
Then Click OK to complete the plugin activation.
4) Now you should modify the workbench preferences. Select Window - Preferences from the menu.
Check the source and output location for the creation of new projects. Navigate in the left pane to Java > New project. Make sure the Folders radio button is checkec, the Source Folder Name is set to src, and the Output Folder Name is set to bin. Without this, the Lomboz plugin will not operate properly.
Like the Sysdeo plugin, Lomboz must point to a JDK, not a JRE to enable JSP compilation. In the Lomboz entry under the preferences dialog box, enter the location of JDK Tools.jar.
This could be something like C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\tools.jar.
Mind you, I bought the Apache Tomcat Bible in 2002, but it gave me a lot of support. So, I'm pretty sure you will not work with JDK 1.3.1 any more and the Eclipse you're working with will be a newer version. The menus I mentioned have perhaps other names, but I still hope this text will point you to the right direction.

How to install nabto plugin for danfoss solar app

I want to install a plugin for a App taken from the iTunes store "Danfoss Solar App".
There is a download for a Safari plugin to connect the App via network to an electronic device.
Called nabto plugin, but I am not able to install the plugin in Safari.
Does anybody know how to install the plugin from nabto in Safari?

Problem installing FlexBuilder Plugin for Eclipse

I'm trying to install the latest Flex Builder plugin under
Eclipse 3.4 under Mac OSX. I installed the plugin per the Adobe
instructions, added the folder to the "List of Available Software"
in the Eclipse dialog for managing plugins, then tried to install
it. Here's the error message:
Cannot complete the request. See the details.
Cannot find a solution satisfying the following requirements

Then you downloaded the [url http://download.fr2.forge.objectweb.org/lomboz/lomboz-emf-gef-jem-3.1RC2.zip]Lomboz 3.1RC2 and dependent plugins (lomboz-emf-gef-jem-3.1RC2.zip).
Then you extracted the lomboz-emf-gef-jem-3.1RC2.zip file into the eclipse folder.
Then you started Eclipse.
So what is the problem?

I know the vlc-plugin package has been removed a while ago.
How can the vlc plugin be installed and used?
I have vlc installed, but the vlc plugin isn't shown in firefox's about:addons.
I checked both the wiki and the forums, but couldn't find any helpful information.

it was removed with a reason. is not compatible with ff 4 and up. upstream removed from vlc in the next version(1.2) and is in a separate repo.

How to install addon / plugin for firefox installed in computers on domain?

I've around 150 computer on a windows based domain server. All the computers installed with Firefox latest version. We want to install a certain plugin / add-on ( example : adblock, windows media player plugin ) to all the computers with firefox.
Doing it individually would consume alot of effort and time of the engineer. Any help for this is greatly appreciated.

JavaFX plugin for Eclipse IDE problem with installation

Hello all,

In my Eclipse IDE "Install new software" -> "Add site" the link http://javafx.com/downloads/eclipse-plugin/ is not recognized as valid software site.
I receive message:
"Unable to read repository at http://javafx.com/downloads/eclipse-plugin/.
http://javafx.com/downloads/eclipse-plugin/ is not a valid repository location."
Please help me to install JavaFX plugin for Eclipse.

I am using Eclipse because my company uses it. I used to Eclipse. However when it comes to test some new technologies form Java world I see problems.
Oracle drives Java development - they launched GlassFish, Netbeans, JavaFX.... etc. Eclipse has to catch up with every new thing but it takes time.

Funny how you rant about all that and still demand answers about Eclipse in the Oracle Java forum.
This has nothing to do with how Eclipse advances; "Eclipse" is only the bare IDE and a minimal set of plugins. Basically everything that you bolt onto it is a third party, or "home made" plugin. Some plugins will be updated quickly, others more slowly depending on how active the developers are. Its just how Eclipse works. At least try this alternative plugin, perhaps it is usable until a better supported solution opens up for Eclipse. Or use Netbeans. Or use command line tools. Be a true engineer - adapt to the situation and get the job done.

besides the above I made it work by moving the files and linking all plugin folders to /usr/share/totem/plugins it works realy well for me also installed all the plugins for totem and others that were needed like flash and bmp like bmp-wma... etc.
the onli problem I have is that under normal user I have no sound, so if I want to lisen to what i see I have to use root , also goes the same for my hauppage HVR-1600 only works under root
after installing the new drivers and on ly under root i can see one channel an hear under root by command "mplayer -v0 x11 /dev/video0" that makes me some what happy since I could't make it work whit any other distro that I have tried .... many of them.....

I purchased Web Premium CS5 and it came with Flash Builder 4. The Flash Builder 4 plugin for eclipse on the other hand was always available online separately (uses the same serial key though). Now that CS 5.5 is out however I can't find the plugin for eclipse Flash Builder 4 (the only one out there is plugin for eclpse Flash Builder 4.5). Where can I download the plugin for eclipse Flash Builder 4 or is there a way to install it using my install package?

Unfortunately, I think you're out of luck. Adobe no longer supports FB 4 now that 4.5 has been released, and that includes providing the plugin and installer downloads. I ran into a similar issue with the standalone last week. The only real option is to find someone else who has a copy of the plugin and see if they'll send it to you.

After half a day of research I have come to a (hasty) conclusion that for my type of application JavaFX is NOT READY for adoption.
I was surprised to find that official Java and JavaFX integration only consists of embedding Swing components in JavaFX. Ill be using multithreading, asynch socket IO, tray icon/menu and a few others things that dont seem easy if at all possible to do in JavaFX. For long periods the application will be running without any visible gui while still doing lots of networking. So obviously Java is going to be controlling the the App and JavaFX will only be in charge of the View. I found some hacks to run JavaFX from Java but I don't want to do hacks and possibly break the license.
Im a bit confused where Sun is going with JavaFX, they add support for WS and ATOM - does that mean they will eventually copy all features from Java to JavaFX changing it from a domain specific language to general purpose one? If they dont provide an easy way for the app to do the grunt work in java and only use JavaFX for gui then that must be their aim? But how many developers are gonna wait for years untill JavaFX can do everything that Java can do?

ADOBE XDC Editor Plugin for Eclipse - Install Problem

We tried to install this plugin to eclipse version 3.2.1. - but clicking on "install new software" eclipse always says it's not an valid update-site. Does anyone knows this problem????
then we tried to install to eclipse version 3.6 (helios), also there automatic install was impossible, so we copied the jar-file to the plugin-directory, but on loading the xdc-file, we only get error-messages.
is someone out there how was able to work with this tool. we need it urgently to run as we have to solve the tray-problematic with adobe forms.

I used JDeveloper with Oracle many years back. That time I found it to be slow. Maybe it must have improved by now.

BPM Studio (10g) is just a plugin for eclipse. To install other plugins, just use the Help - Software Updates - Find and Install
