How to instanciate BOR attribute

I am creating a new BOR. i have defined some key fields and its attribute. My question is how will i instanciate attribute value depending upon the key fields.
Where do we write the code to set the initial values depending upon the key fields of business object? Please suggest.

Yes it will. On each instantiation, bindings etc. This is why you need to decide whether to have a particular set of fields should be made as attribute or returned as export parameter from a GET method..

While running the dirsync tool iam getting the below error :
"Unable to update this object because the following attributes associated with this object have values that may already be associated with another object in your local directory services: [ProxyAddresses smtp:[email protected],SMTP:[email protected];].
Correct or remove the duplicate values in your local directory. Please refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2647098 for more information on identifying objects with duplicate attribute value"
Still i am troubleshooting to reslove this problem . I have run the ID Fix tool there i could see some 10 duplicate errors . Next what should i do , please anyone help me to find it

hai naiduz,
in the dso u find folder with navigational attributes, there select the Navigation check box the fields which u need in the report.
and further if ur dso through multiprovider and also identify them at multi provider level.
then u will be able to see the fields at query designer level, then u can use the nav. fields u need in the report.

How to create an attribute dimension in Essbase Studio?

I cannot figure out how to create an attribute dimension using Essbase Studio. The online help states that I need to "Find the Attribute settings grouping in the center" of the member properties dialog box. I suspect that I'm having a problem figuring this out because I don't have the attribute dimension properly defined in the relational data source or in the mini-schema. I've tried creating a table with no key relationship to the other tables and with no logical joins defined, but that doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?

How to access an attribute(this is referencing to another class) in a class

Dear Gurus,
I have to read an attribute of a class and that attributes type another class.
I have intantiated the class and my question is how to read the attribute. I know I can not dirrectly read the attribute since this is another class. I think I have to first reference the attribute right? Please advise me.
My code looks like below:
data: lo_fpm                                 type ref to if_fpm.
data: lo_msg_mgr                        type ref to if_fpm_message_manager.
data: lo_component_manager    type ref to cl_fpm_component_manager.
lo_fpm = cl_fpm_factory=>get_instance( ).    " cl_fpm_factory is a class which has a static method get_instance
lo_msg_mgr = lo_fpm->mo_message_manager.
lo_component_manager = lo_fpm->mo_component_manager.
The above statement is giving syntax error. I do not know why.
The basic difference b/n the two methods is if_fpm~mo_message_manager    type ref to if_fpm_message_manager    and
mo_component_manager     type ref to cl_fpm_component_manager.
Any help would be appreciated.

the only way I know is manage the attribute descriptiona s a property and then enable the pivot table option "Show properties in tooltip".
But I'm interested in what you mean with "using
"OLAP pivot table extension" is an option". How this works?

First Create a node for ur table.In that give your table name in the dictionary structure then select option add attributes from the structure that will display the fields there u can select the fields then automatically attributes for ur table will be created in the context.

Hi Everyone,
i am learning OAF....right now going through PPR.I was referring the sample tutorials where i came across attribute sets in the PPR Example, which i believe were created as per requirement.So not able to proceed further till i get some clue abt how to create an attribute set as per my requirement.Tried to refer dev guide but not able to grab the concept
Can anyone tell me where exactly do i need attribute sets(i am only aware that it is used to provide the look n feel to the browser) and how to go abt creating one.

I am not too sure on what you want.
If you require that the text value be different based on some conditions you can declare as many text elements as conditions and call the relevant text element.
But I dont think that you can assign dynamic texts to a single text element.

Take COffeesbreak as an example ,
let's suppose that there are cof_name ,sup_id,price and so on;
the same cof_name may be suplied by more sup_ids,
and one sup_id may suply more cof_names.
so the Primary key should be set the cof_name and sup_id ,
how to set ?
(of course that i konw if I set a cof_id,the problem will be easy work out
but now there are those like above)
I set that as following:
create table coffees (cof_name VARCHAR(32) PRIMARY KEY,sup_id INTEGER, PRIMARY KEY,PRICE INTEGER )
THE database print error :cant add more primary keys!

You can only use the PRIMARY KEY declaration on a column if it is the only Primary Key column.
Use the PRIMARY KEY constraint statement instead.
