How to keep a table "header" stuck at top of each page

Okay. This will probably be impossible to explain, but here goes.
I have a document template that consists of a table (4 columns and variable number of rows depending on the content).
I would like the columns to have their "headers" (meaning here the first row) appear on each page. So, as the first page gets filled up, when page 2 appears, the headers are duplicated from page one (so that the contents of the columns are evident on each page).
Hope that makes sense. Can this be done with pages? (I can't use the regular page header for this since it's got different info that needs to be there.

I was just fooling around with a table trying to solve a different problem when I came up with a different solution to your question (assuming I understood what you wanted).
In the Wrap Inspector choose Moves with Text and your table will continue to successive pages. (If you want to center the table, or position it anywhere other than all the way left, click on the table and grab the little triangle in the Ruler and drag it to the right to move the table.)
If you don't already have the "Header Row" box checked, do so now. (In the Table Inspector.) Any text in the Header cells will repeat on each page just like a regular page header.
If you don't want the default gray, highlight the Header and go to the Object Inspector and in the Fill menu select None or any color you like. You can even select each header cell separately and make each one a different color.

If a paragraph ends on the preceding page, and I've inserted a line break after it, the line break applies at the top of the subsequent page, therefore the text is not at the absolute top. I need to keep the line break there in case I add text earlier in the document, to keep the paragraph spacing uniform.
Is there a way to set it so that text always justifies to the top - yet if additional lines are added to earlier text, it keeps the line break? I hope that made sense, if not let me know and I'll clarify. Thanks.

Instead of using using line breaks after paragraphs, use the After Paragraph option to add extra space between paragraphs.

How to repeat 2 table header rows in adobe form

Can anybody suggest me how to repeat 2 table header rows .
one header row is for displaying only columns header list
second header row is for displaying 'from date' and 'to date'.
and i want this to be done using layout tab(palletes) in the form. will it be?

Table Header not getting repeated in subsequent pages

Hi,
I have a table and i want to table header to be repeated in subsequent pages but only till 2nd page the table header is repeated from the 3rd page onwards the table header is not repeated.
I have selected the Header Row in hierarchy and in Pagination tab for the header row i have checked the the check box Insert Header Row in Subsequent Pages.
After selecting the checkbox also table header is repeated only in 2 pages and not repeated after the second page.
My table hierarchy in form is :
TableSubform
---Table
HeaderRow
Row1
I am using Designer 8.0 and Acrobat Reader 8.1.2
Can you please help me in solving this issue.

Page Header Not at Top of Bookmarked Page

Using Report Builder 3.0
I have a large multipage report that has a Report Header which includes "tabs". The tabs are links to Bookmarked pages. I need the Report Header to display at the top of each page when a tab is clicked. To understand the structure please look at
the attachment.
Current Behavior:
Report correctly opens with Header displayed at top of Page1.
Click Page1 tab. No change--correct.
Click Page2 tab. Page2 displays with Header visible at top. Correct, but I don't know why. Clicking to advance pages in this section gets a correct result.
Click Page3 tab. Page3 displays. Header is there, but not visible because the page is scrolled down to what is probably the Bookmark.
All other tabs are the same as Page3.
Desired Behavior:
Same as Page2 above. When a tab is clicked the new page displays with the Page Header visible at the top.
I've wondered if this is possible with Bookmarks. I tried to come up with a URL that would work, but couldn't get the syntax correct. I also tried putting a Document Map in place--interestingly the exact same behavior as above occurs.
Can anyone help me? Thanks!

According to your description, you want to have your "tabs" displayed after you click it and jump to the bookmark. Right?
In Reporting Services, when we set a bookmark and do a jump to bookmark action, it supposed to navigate to where the bookmark is. This is the default behavior and we can't change it. So it happens on Page 3 and other tabs. In this scenario,
we guess you have set the textbox ("tabs") repeat with your tablix, and the position of the first two bookmark are close to header, so that you can see the header in your first two pages. So for your requirement, it might not be achieved currently. Since
we can't see the screenshot of report structure, please re-post it if possible. It may help us make some adjustment and improvement for you. Thank you.

How to Keep Lines / Tables rows together

Hi All
I would like to know if Words functionality to
Keep lines together (Format - Paragraph - Line Page Breaks Tab - Keep Lines together tick box) is supported by XMLP.
Our particular requirement is to keep our table of 3 rows per record (wrapped in a for each) together over a page break, although I can see this option being useful for letters etc in the future.
We are using XMLP 5.6.2

Unfortunately the first row in our table has 8 columns, the following 2 rows have just one column, this stops us from merging all three rows together.
Excuse my lack of knowledge but how do we mail files to you without disclosing our email address to whole world??

How to keep a table on one page

Hi,
Is there any way to prevent a pagebreak in a table?
If a table is selected, then the Inspector-Text-More-Pagination&Pagebreak is grayed out.
I tried Inspector-Wrap-Object Placement-Floating, which indeed keeps the table on one page, but has all kinds of nasty side-effects. I really need to keep the table inline.

In the Wrap Inspector, change the Table's property from Inline to Floating. Now you can position it on the following Page and avoid the split. Be careful though, because now you are fully responsible for the table position on the page and it will not split even if it grows larger than a page in length.

which should overflow to next if data exceeds.
below that one more table that also should over flow.
One more problem is when table overflows it over writes on the footer.

I don't think you can do that directly. SUM will include hidden rows. But you can use SUMIF and SUMIFS.

In My JSP Page i have one text(customer Name) and number of checkboxes and radio buttons.
My Problem is:
if user enter some value in Text Box and after that user clicks on some radio button becouse of some action on radio button page get refresh and also the value enter by user in text box get vanish.
I want keep text box value as it is even if page get refreshed becouse of some action.
Is it any setting in Strust framework for this.
I am using Struts Framework.

Sorry, I don't clearly understand the question and the horrible code (Java code doesn't belong in JSPs) doesn't make it more easy to understand.
Best what I can guess is that you need to learn about passing request parameters/attributes in JSP and the possibilty of storing attributes in the session. And based on the code, also learn how to separate the data, business and presentation layers properly.

How to make the column title needs to be on each page?

If a document has more than one page than a column title needs to be on each page,I can use Word fuction to do that. But If I Only use XML publisher, How to do it.

If you mean how do you repeat the column titles on a table if the table extends over several pages then all you need do is:
Highlight the table header row
Right click and select table properties
On the Row tab, specify that the header row should be repeated on every page
Save your work
XMLP will now respect the word setting and will repeat the header row on evey page the table needs.

You could added the category value to the header row and set the table properties for row to repeat on each page.. I have sent a reply to your email. Take a look to see if the output is per expectations.
