I am developing an application where, I have to login to web site, etc. I am newbie in this kind of development. I can access the web page, retreive the page. So, GET part is working fine. I have problem with Post. I am using JDK 1.6 with apache's HttpClient 3.1 for communicating through the web site. After setting parameters in NameValuePair[], when i run execuseMethod(postMethod), it throws the following exception :
i]Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: host parameter is null
I think, I may be going wrong in providing proper headers, parameters, etc. Can anyone help me know:
1. How can I know what parameters, I need to pass in the POST method. Along with form attributes, their may be any hidden values to be passed. How can I find out that.
2. Their is a submit button, how do i deal with that - tell the post method to click it ?
3. Same with headers. Which attributes needs to be set of headers and what values?
I saw some files on net, where prg'er are adding few other parameters that are hidden - but not all hidden parameters!
Any help is appreciative. Please it would be nice if you can help me out. I am new in this type of development. I have spend 2 days looking out for this problem, but couldn't find any help yet. Please any help at the earliest is benificial.

Due to the null value the exception is thrown. What do I do now? Infact, in my GEt also, I tried the same thing, their also host is null of HostConfiguration, but it works well, as it doesn't have to send anything.I have no clue to move ahead.Also, what must be the content length?

How to call the DLL writing in Vb6.0 from testsatnd?

Hi,
I want to call a dll writting in VB6.0 from teststand. But as i see from the "Step Setting" in teststand, only the C/C++ Dll can be selected in the "adapter" type. I try to use this one as my adapter to call my VB6.0 dll, in result, there is no function can be seen in the "function" tab in teststand.Anyone know how to call the DLL writing in Vb6.0?

Hi Ivan,
Just to be sure that your DLL is not wrong
you have check if all functions are well and present.
There is tool called "Dependency Walker" You can download it at http://dependencywalker.com/ .
With it you can look "inside" your dll
If you will see your functions there, you will see them (in my case !!always!!) in TestStand, too.

ex:

I am new to OA Framework need some help. I need to find out the list of parameters for a Framework page. Once I know the available parameter then I can pass the value so that page rendering will be based on the parameter value.
How to know the list of parameters. Are they available in a Table or XML file.

Sorry I am not clear earlier. Here is my requirement:
I am implementing iRecruitment product at a client site. Customer want to upload the available jobs on external site like (Dice.com). When a job seeker clicks on the available job 'Apply now' link the control is coming to iRecruitment main page but that particular job information is not displayed
But the customer requirement is the URL attached to external job site should also contain the job id so that particular job information will be displayed when the control comes to iRecruitment product.
So my idea is to find out if this job id parameter existed in the given page. If it existed then I can add the same to the URL in the browser page.

because I have other restriction, so I create two restricted key figure..
RK1 with restriction : Total Number of Note,
RK2 with restriction : Total Opening Days ,
then I Created a calculated key figure, average opening days in a period
CK1 = RK2 / RK1..
in this case, I am not sure if it will work or not..
for example, during RK2 calclation, it might be this   2+3 = 5, the line with 0 will be ignored..
during RK1 calcualtion, it might be 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. ---> Not sure in this case, the line with opening days 0 will be calculated or not..
could you please confirm..

Usually one contract corresponds to multiple PO records, now we know the contract number, then how to know the total PO release value against this contract. In other word, we would like to know the total release value of all the POs with the same contract number. To just input the contract number in EKPO table? but then look for which field in this table to add these PO release values up?

SAP has provided enterprise services for Room booking in Real Estate module. They are even shipping the complete application for a nominal price. But the standard version is not suitable for our client requirement so they want to develop this application inhouse.
Now my question is: I know the enterprise services used in this application. How to know the implementing methods behind these enterprise services ?
If possible suggest which approach will be a better option for the inhouse development.
1. Webdynpro ABAP and use directly methods behind the enterprise services.
2. Webdynpro ABAP and create client proxy class for the enterprise services.
3. Webdynpro JAVA and use the enterprise services.
4. Using visual composer modelling the application.
Please suggest the best alternative.

In sproxy transaction you can search service and then you can see class and method implemented behind that particular service.
1. Webdynpro ABAP and use directly methods behind the enterprise services.
In my opinion not recommended to bypass ES and use method behind it.
2. Webdynpro ABAP and create client proxy class for the enterprise services.
Not sure why you want to create proxy of ES.
3. Webdynpro JAVA and use the enterprise services.
4. Using visual composer modelling the application.
You can use either Webdynpro (ABAP or Java) or VC to model your application which consume ES in backend. Both options are good, you can chose Java or ABAP flavor of dynpro based on skill available in team. VC is very effective in rapid modelling and can be used in protyping or in development of complete application.
