How to know the parent material in BOM  if we know the last level material

Dear all,
We have around 40000 material codes with 18 digits. We can't remember all these. If we know the material code, we can easily find out sublevel or downlevel material by CS03,CS11 ,.....
But if we know the material code , how to find upper level material code in BOM ?
How to know the parent material in BOM  if we know the last level material ?
Pl' answer.

Hi Kishore,
Have u tried with report CS15.  Give last Level Material  ->goto nect Screen->select "Multi level " check box then excute.
it will give All Parent material of Last material, u can indentify with BOM level NO.

  • List of Material in BOM excluding semi finished goods or any material type

    We want to take out the list of components used in BOM or can we exclude any material type while displaying BOM.
    Is there any TCODE available for this?
    thanks
    harish

    Hello Harish,
    I think this is possible from user specific settings OS29. You can select the "sub assemblies""if the BOM contains sub-assembly A-A as a component. The components of this sub-assembly are K-1 and K-2.
    If you set this indicator, the summarized BOM shows the data of sub-assembly A-A and its components K-1 and K-2.
    If you do notset this indicator, only components K-1 and K-2 are shown.
    If helpful rewards your points.

  • How to find the Parent process in workflow

    Hi all,
    I have a .wft file with me.
    It contains atleast 8 processess.
    I need to understand the flow of this workflow.
    How do i getto know the flow?
    How do I getto know the parent process?
    I am sure if i know the parent process then i can figure out the flow as well.
    Hope someone can help me in thisproblem.
    Thanks in anticipation.
    regards.

    Hello,
    You can open the .wft file using the Workflow builder and see visually how the processes are designed. You can also see which processes are used as sub processes. These will be your children flows.

  • How to find the parent package

    Hi,
    The problem I'm trying to solve is, given an instance of a SSIS package being executed, I need to find the GUID and execution id of the package that calls it. According to the API (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.sqlserver.dts.runtime.package.aspx)
    the Package class
    has a property "Parent", which returns the instance of the container that contains the child package. In reality though, this doesn't seem to work. Here's what I did,
    1. Create a child package that simply has a script task which writes a line to a file for debugging purpose.
    2. Create a custom SSIS component in which the child package is called by the myPackage.Execute() method;
    3. Given the reference myPackage, try to print the parent container id through the FireInfo() method from IDTSComponents interface.
    What I got was an "reference not set to an object" error, which means the parent property is null. This leads me to wonder, when is the parent property set? Is it only set during the execution of the child package? I tried to access it both before
    and after executing the child package, and in both cases the value was null.
    My ultimate goal is to write the parent package id (and execution id) into the ssis log so as to easily trace the execution of packages. Another option to achieving this goal would be through passing values via parent package variables but that seems to
    be too clumsy.
    Any help / suggestion is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Amos

    I have done the same thing via different way. Let me tell you how
    Step 1: Create a log table
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[ExecutionLog](
    [LogID] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
    [ParentLogID] [int] NULL,
    [Description] [varchar](50) NULL,
    [PackageName] [varchar](50) NOT NULL,
    [PackageGuid] [uniqueidentifier] NOT NULL,
    [MachineName] [varchar](50) NOT NULL,
    [ExecutionGuid] [uniqueidentifier] NOT NULL,
    [Operator] [varchar](50) NOT NULL,
    [StartTime] [datetime] NOT NULL,
    [EndTime] [datetime] NULL,
    [Status] [tinyint] NOT NULL,
    [FailureTask] [varchar](64) NULL,
    CONSTRAINT [PK_ExecutionLog] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED
    [LogID] ASC
    )WITH (PAD_INDEX = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE = OFF, IGNORE_DUP_KEY = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS = ON) ON [PRIMARY]
    ) ON [PRIMARY]
    GO
    SET ANSI_PADDING OFF
    GO
    ALTER TABLE [dbo].[ExecutionLog] WITH CHECK ADD CONSTRAINT [FK_ExecutionLog_ExecutionLog] FOREIGN KEY([ParentLogID])
    REFERENCES [dbo].[ExecutionLog] ([LogID])
    GO
    ALTER TABLE [dbo].[ExecutionLog] CHECK CONSTRAINT [FK_ExecutionLog_ExecutionLog]
    GO
    Step 2: On every package Create three Execute SQL Task
     Execute SQL Task 1 :  On begin of package
     Execute SQL Task 2  : After completion of all task
    Step 3: Now create two SP
    For EQT #1
    --Root-level nodes should have a null parent
    if @ParentLogID <= 0 set @ParentLogID = null
    --Insert the log record
    insert into dbo.ExecutionLog(
    ParentLogID
    ,Description
    ,PackageName
    ,PackageGuid
    ,MachineName
    ,ExecutionGuid
    ,Operator
    ,StartTime
    ,EndTime
    ,Status
    ,FailureTask
    ) values (
    @ParentLogID
    ,@Description
    ,@PackageName
    ,@PackageGuid
    ,@MachineName
    ,@ExecutionGuid
    ,@operator
    ,getdate()
    ,null
    ,0 --InProcess
    ,null
    set @logID = scope_identity()
    EQT #2 On End
    update dbo.ExecutionLog set
    EndTime = getdate() -
    ,Status = case
    when Status = 0 then 1 --Complete
    else Status
    end --case
    where
    LogID = @logID
    You can create similar SP for OnError if you want
    Step 4: Now create two variables LogId & parentLogId Int default value 0
    Step 5: Step up parent package variable configuration for logId like below
    Step 6: Call these SP in respective execute SQL task
    Hope this will help

  • Problem refreshing the parent page when closing a modal window.

    I have page that opens a modal window from a report link column. In the modal window I want to be able to make my changes and press an Apply button so that the modal window is closed and the parent page is refreshed to show the modified details in the report. In Firefox all works well but in IE I get the error message ‘Window.opener.location is null or not an object’ .
    When I comment out window.opener.location.href=window.opener.location.href; the modal window closes without error but I want to refresh the parent page with changes made in the modal window.
    I’m afraid my java script is very limited (the code is based on other peoples examples.)
    Parent Page I call this function from a report link column to display a modal window. Sets the hidden SAVE_STATUS field in destination page to ‘N’
    function modalWin(pshow)
    var url;
    url='f?p=&APP_ID.:'+pshow+':&SESSION.::::SAVE_STATUS:N';
    if (window.showModalDialog) {
    window.showModalDialog(url,"name","dialogWidth:650px;dialogHeight:700px"); }
    else {
    window.open(url,"name","height=700,width=650,toolbar=no,directories=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=no ,modal=yes");
    Destination page (modal window)
    HTML Header.
    The function closeWindow should refresh the parent page and close the modal window.
    <base target=_self>

    htmldb_delete_message='"DELETE_CONFIRM_MSG"';
    function closeWindow() {
    if ( document.getElementById("SAVE_STATUS").value == 'Y' )
    window.opener.location.href=window.opener.location.href;
    window.close();
    //-->
    </script>
    Html Body attribute.
    onLoad="closeWindow();"
    P_UPDATE_DATE process called from the Apply changes button. Sets the SAVE_STATUS flag to ‘Y’ for the onload in the html body.
    UPDATE event
    SET event_date = :P5001_EVENT_DATE
    WHERE contract_reference = :P330_EVD_CONTRACT
    AND event_number = :P330_EVD_EVENT_NUMBER;
    :SAVE_STATUS := 'Y';
    Thanks in advance, I will have a look when back in the office on Monday.
    Cheers Pete

    Hi Chris,
    Thanks for your help. I think I've sorted it using your first suggestion doing a refresh in the parent page, I just didn't know how at the time.
    What I've got in the parent window after the call to the modal window is the reload window.location.reload(); and in the modal window I close it using window.close(); The down side being the refresh happens if I use my 'Apply changes' or 'Cancel' button but I can live with that for now.
    It seems to work in IE and firefox but as I say most of what I'm doing is cobbling together using other peoples code without really understanding exactly what it does. Anyway thanks for your help, sound like I should look into JQUERY when I have time.
    Thanks Pete
    Parent window call to modal

  • How to MASS update LC data in BOM's and Routings

    Hello,
    Hello,
    I am using SAP APO where I need to use LPP Heuristics. I need to update LC Data. I tried to do it via batch input as I did not find any Function Module. I faced however a problem that I could not overcome.
    Initially field Maximum Prod. Length is display only. When I set a value to Length Calculation Method field then it becomes editable but entry is required. In this way it is impossible to update it in one step with the batch input method.
    Does anyone know how to overcome it?
    Thank you in advance,
    Angelos

    Ok...  Sorry, I thought I explained it better.
    I have 40K+ records that were extracted from a parent table into a "temporary table" called NRN_WEIGHTS.  Each has a primary key column, ADMIN_CN_FK, and two data columns.  SVEXPAND, and NVEXPAND.   ALL the data in this table was extracted from the parent table NRN_ADMIN, and then the NV/SVEXPAND records updated to current values.
    Now they want me to update all the parent table records so that they reflect the new values.
    Parent table = NRN_ADMIN   primary key is ADMIN_CN
    Child table = NRN_WEIGHTS  primary key (FK) is ADMIN_CN_FK
    So I have to essentially say in some kind of looped structure...
    for i in select admin_cn_fk from nrn_weights, update nrn_admin
    set nvexpand = (select nvexpand from nrn_weights where admin_cn_fk = i)
    svexpand =(select svexpand from nrn_weights where admin_cn_fk = i)
    Does that make more sense?
    As far as the create table goes, I didn't want to really be specific to this one instance to be honest.   This is something that I will be doing a lot, so I was hoping to approach it from a more generic approach.

  • Creating and submitting forms in embedded PDF, can I submit data to a js function on the parent HTML

    I am trying to create an interactive PDF form for use in an educational activity.  It is basically in the form of a lecure with quiz questions in the mix.  I see how to create a drop down list or select list in Acrobat pro, and I see how to either submit a form or execute a javascript when an item is selected.
    What I want to do is submit the response that the user has selected and process that on the server or send the data to a js fuinction on the parent page for processing.  The latter option would be preferred.  I do not want to display the response in the browser, which is what seems to happen if you use the form submit option.  The data that I am interested in is just the form name and the export value, which I can configure when I create the form.  Initially, this would probably be just a 0 or 1 for incorrect or correct.  So I really just need 2 data, maybe 3 data values.  The form name, the 0 or 1, and the name of the pdf document.  I am embedding the PDF document as an object in a PHP/HTML page.  I can make a javascript function on the parent page that processes the data.  I am writing the responses to a MySQL server that has the users name (account system on the parent page), and I would then record the PDF page name, the field name (which question) and the response (0 or 1).
    Seems like it should not be that hard, but I am not to familar with Javascript scripting within a PDF document and how that works.
    Thanks.

    You should just set up the form to submit directly to the server from the PDF. The server can then return an essentially empty response (status code 204 no content).

  • CSV file downloading replaces the parent window

    Hi,
    I'm trying to download a .csv file from my web application using Content-Disposition
    here is my code
    response.setContentType("application/octet-stream");
    filename = filename.concat(downloadType);
    response.setHeader("Content-Disposition","attachment; filename="+filename+";");
    //response.setHeader("Content-Disposition","application/octet-stream; filename="+filename+";");
    String source = (String)ivHttpRequest.getAttribute("downloadFile");
    if(downloadType.equals(".txt")) {
    source = Utils.decodeHtmlEntities(source);
    byte [] byteArray;
    if(source == null)
    // use ivRequest instead
    String source2 = (String)ivRequest.getAttribute("downloadFile");
    if(downloadType.equals(".txt")){
    source2 = Utils.decodeHtmlEntities(source2);
    byteArray = source2.getBytes();
    else
    byteArray = source.getBytes();
    ServletOutputStream out = response.getOutputStream();
    out.write(byteArray);
    out.close();
    I'm able to download the file in all the browsers, But while using IPAD the content of the file replaces the existing window (Parent Window) without asking for Save or Open option. So i'm unable to get the parent window again.
    Please let me know is there any special content type or anythinmg else i have to change.. So that i could be able to open the csv file in a new tab without replacing the parent window.The problem i faced only with IPAD

    Hi,
    For pdf file if we choose adhoc or by giving the proper name, we can able to get the options like OPEN or SAVE. This will work fine for pdf.
    But here im trying with csv file /html file, so the file is replacing the existing screen itself when i click the csv link. In my web application, i cannot get the parent window by using back button once i get the csv file instead page gets expired.
    So my best suggestion is should we able to open the csv file in new Tab of safari instead of replacing the parent window where im clicking to open the csv file.
    Suggestions pls.

  • Calling a Function in the Parent Window from the Child Window

    QUESTION: How do I call a function resident in the parent
    window from a child window?
    BACKGROUND
    I have a JavaScript function resident in the parent window
    that reformats information obtained from the Date object and writes
    the result to the parent window using the document.write( ) method.
    I would like to call this function from the child window and have
    it write to the child window instead. Is this possible? If not,
    must I rewrite the entire function and nest it in the below code?
    If so, what is the proper form of nesting?
    CODE: The code that creates and fills the child window is
    provided below. The highlighted area indicates where I would like
    to enter the information from the function resident in the parent
    window. I have tried every imaginable permutation of code that I
    can imagine and nearly destroyed my parent document in the process.
    I am very happy that I had a back-up copy!
    function openCitationWindow() {
    ciDow = window.open("", "", "width=450, height=175, top=300,
    left=300");
    ciDow.document.write("A proper way to cite a passage of text
    on this page:<br /><br />Stegemann, R. A. 2000.
    <cite>Imagine: Bridging a Historical Gap</cite>. " +
    document.title + ". [<a href='" + location.href + "'
    target='_blank'>online book</a>] &lt;" + location.href
    + "&gt; (");
    MISSING CODE;
    ciDow.document.write(").<br /><br /><input
    type='button' value='Close Window' onclick='window.close()'>");
    ciDow.focus();

    Never mind - I was doing something very stupid and wasn't
    calling the function as a method of a movie clip. I was simply
    calling checkTarget(event) rather than
    event.currentTarget.checkTarget(event); which seems to work.

  • SSRS sub report not fitting exactly in the parent textbox in main report.

    Hi All,
    I have a small sub report placed in the main report. Everything is working fine except that the sub report not fitting exactly in the parent text box is bothering me and disturbing the look of it. Can any one tell me how to make the sub report fit to its
    parent properly ???
    contents of my report are as below.
    1st column - project name,2nd column - location(sub report),3rd column - client name,4th - consultants(sub
    report), 5th - registered contractors and date(sub report).
    At the end of the sub report a line is displayed indicating its end. This is what i am concerned about.

    Hello,
    If I understand correctly, you have get a mess format with subreport.
    We can adjust the subreport report body size and tablix with the same size. It will fit exactly in the parent text box. Please refer to the screenshot below:
    If there are any misunderstanding, please elaborate the issue for further investigation.

  • Seemingly unpredictable results when calling an overriden parent method on an instance of a child class casted to the parent class

    I have a parent class with a sub-vi Override.vi, and a child which overrides this sub-vi.  I create an instance of this child.  I cast this child to it's parent class and store it in an array.  Later, if I invoke the parent's 'Override.vi' on this child (casted to parent) then Labview 2013 seems to randomly choose whether to run the parent or the child override.vi.  In Labview 2011 SP1 it would always call the childs version of override.vi (which while surprising to me was very useful).  This has totally broken an application I have been developing, any insight as to how to control which override.vi is run would be helpful (re-casting to the child class isn't really an option, as there are in fact many child classes each with their own version of override.vi).

    The actual data type of the wire is irrelevant in deciding which VI to run. The only thing that is relevant is the class of the object which is actually on the wire, so casting to the parent should not be relevant. *IF* the object really is a child, then LV should always call the child's VI, just like you say it works in 2011.
    I suspect that what's happening in your case is that somewhere you're generating a parent and that's what's actually on the wire (e.g. maybe you have an error somewhere and a function outputs the default value, which is a parent). The fact that it didn't happen in 2011 doesn't mean it's a bug in 2013. It could be that something else has changed.
    In any case, it's impossible to tell whether this is a misunderstanding, a bug in your code or a bug in LV without actual code. If you can post actual code which shows this, people can help. Otherwise (if it only happens in code you don't want to publish), you should try contacting NI directly so that you can at least show them the code.

  • Modal popup window refresh the parent (calling) window/view

    I have a modal popup window that is adding detail records.  When this window is closed via the Hide method in my controller I would like to refresh the parent (calling) window/view.
    What is the best way to do this?
    Regards,
    Diane

    Here's my process.....
    2-windows & 3 views
    Window 1 - Selection View and Detail View
    Window 2 - Add View (used as a modal popup window called by a button click on the detail view)
    Selection View has all the options for obtaining a list of data for the detail view.  The detail view has an Add button.  Component controller has the hide method and access to the other components that do the update/query methods. On the detail view the user can click Add and a popup modal window shows.  User enters data and clicks either the add or cancel button.  The Detail view needs to refresh to show the additional data that has been added by the modal window.  There are calcuated values in the detail view from a supply function.  This function is not running and the values are not changed.
    What should be put in the hide method that will cause the detail view to obtain new data and supply the calculated values?  If I was using the Add view as part of the same window as the detail/selection views I'd just put in a navigation link between the detail and add views and fire the plug.  I like the idea of the popup window so I'd like to get this to work.
    I put the wdContext.initialize() in the hide method - which yes - caused the detail view to run - however the context lost all the key values so I received a data not found.  I then tried to initialize those nodes that did not contain the key values but the detail view did not display new values.
    Thanks for any ideas.....Diane

  • Added existing domain to the parent domain and now permission not inheriting on the child domain

    Hi Friends
    There was a existing Domain but we bought the company and make that Domain as a child domain of our Domain, problem is that users of Parent domain does not have access to the child domain. permissions are not inheriting from parent domain to child domain.
    for e.g i created user on the parent domain i cant even login to the machine in other domain or access the resources which are on the child domain.

    Simply delegate the permissions you want to grant so that users from the root domain can have access to resources in the child domain.
    As an example, you make users from the parent domain login to computers from the child domain using
    Allow logon locally group policy: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc756809%28v=ws.10%29.aspx
    You can also make them able to RDP the computers if you add them to Remote Desktop Users
    group. This could be done by Restricted Groups Group Policy.
    So, for security reasons and depending on your current configuration, it is normal that users from the root domain might not have by default access to resources in the child domain. This could be fixed by doing the proper delegation.

  • Passing Value from a Popup Window Back to the Parent Window

    The relevant code snippets are shown below. The screen1.jsp is the parent window:

    Please point out the mistakes in my code. Thank you.

    I have made some modifications to the code in the popup window. The error reported in my previous posting is gone. But, I still have several problems:

    3. The value that I entered in the popup window eventually gets passed back to the text field in the parent window only if I re-run the application.
    The relevant JavaScript code snippets are:
            <script language="JavaScript1.1">
                function doSave( value )
                   var formId = window.openerFormId;
                   opener.document.forms[ formId ].form[ formId + ":ip" ].value = value;

         <h:inputText size="25" id="ip" value="#{dataManagementBean.ip }" required="true"/>
         <h:commandButton value="OK" onclick="doSave('ip'); return=false;"/>
