How to know the status of workflow?

Hi all,
When i create a Sales order in VA01 my workflow should get triggered.
When the workflow status is 'In progress' the user should not be allowed to change the sales order that was created.
How to do this and in which table can i get the status of a particular workflow.

Don't check any tables. The tables have changed between versions.
Use two of the function modules from the workflow API instead.
1) SAP_WAPI_WORKITEMS_TO_OBJECT to find the work items in which the object (your sales order BOR object) is used.
2) SAP_WAPI_GET_WORKITEM_DETAIL to find work item status and more.

When a record is being updated by a form, if you create a Pre-Update trigger on the block, the trigger will run for each record being updated.
Same thing happens with a Pre-Insert and Pre-Delete trigger.

How to know the status of stream played using NetStream.Play method ?

I am playing stream data published by third party server
similar to FCS by creating NetStream object and calling Play method

Please help me with a query to get the status of a worflow. For Eg: The close order line wf has fired for a particular order line in Oracle Apps (item type = OEOL). I just want to find the status of this using a query. Any hints will be very helpful.

Look in the ORABPEL database schema. There you will see a lot of tables related to workflow.

How to know the status of equipment on a particular date

when we go to IE02 t.code there is a field showing the status of the equipment on particular date( Valid from and valid to ). If it is assigned to a particular functional location its status is displayed INST and its not assined its AVBL . Can i know from which table i can get the status of the equipment on particular date.

I am working on a workflow to release production related maintenance order.In this workflow I need to determine the status of the Maintenance Order (BOR object BUS2007) whether it has been released or not.I am trying to do this by condition step type.I can't understand which field of BUS2007 object I need to check to know the status of the maintenance order.

Hi,
Have you not getting any value in Status Profile attribute.
For new attribute u need to write coding, getting the value of that released field.
First, u need to implement by going to Edit->Change Release Status ->To implemented.
Then check your BO and generate it. If any error occurs in Menu bar Goto->Error List and see what is the error.
After generation of your BO, test your BO.
If test works fine, then Delegate with the standard BO.
To delegate, u need to be in initial screen of SWO1 and goto Settings->Delegate. Give Super type as Std BO and delegate type as your custom BO and use the Std BO in your workflow.

Tables to know the status of the workflow

I am using a standard workflow for aproval of Appropriation Requests (App. Req.)
We have 5 approvals(persons) in the heiarachy.
I want to know the status of a App. Req.
i.e which persons are approved
    at which person it is pending
    or whether it is approved by all the 5 persons
In which table I get this information ois there any Function module to get this info?

because I have other restriction, so I create two restricted key figure..
RK1 with restriction : Total Number of Note,
RK2 with restriction : Total Opening Days ,
then I Created a calculated key figure, average opening days in a period
CK1 = RK2 / RK1..
in this case, I am not sure if it will work or not..
for example, during RK2 calclation, it might be this   2+3 = 5, the line with 0 will be ignored..
during RK1 calcualtion, it might be 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. ---> Not sure in this case, the line with opening days 0 will be calculated or not..
could you please confirm..

Dear,
When you create a production order, an operation created by the system is generated automatically if no routing is used for the creation. As a result the order header receives the status HOGAN; the operation created automatically also has this status.
If you delete the operation created automatically and then do not have the status HOGAN.
To avoid this maintain the Routing for the material or delete the setting of default operation from OPJG.

In the actual question, you mentioned that the old record needs to be deleted and hence the solution provided.
Now, you are talking about field. May I know which field are you talking about??
Jst get in to ABAP Editor and try debugging the code with the solution provided and let us know if that is working fine or not.
Also, I recommend you to take a look at the transaction ABAPDOCU. There you wil find hell lot of examples explaining all the scenarios. You will get a good idea .
Please check that and try to implement it yourself. You will be able to make it after doing mistakes.

Process: We have acheived this using the "Work Item Exits", Usng "AFTER_EXECUTION" Method.
Note: The Exit will be executed if "exit_cancelled" statement is present/used in the work item method. if not it is not taking to the exit code. I'm unable to find the reason for it. Florin can u please explain this point.

I am not talking about doing it in the CRM_UI transaction..I created a program..which would create the customer plans based on the planning account data provided. I was succesfull in creating the plans, but I am not knowing how to release it, if only anybody can tell me about a Function module or method, which can help me do this, that would be great

There is no document with me. But I can confidently say that because I am using this functionality.
In my case I have created a Order Reason as "Short Closed". once you short close this order only the balance quantity gets rejected (provided you have already made previous delivery and PGI).
Try it in one of your test clients if you have. Once it is short Closed it wont also show in the orders due for processing in Production.
Also you can generate reports based on this if your customer wants to know how many order he has short closed, qty of item short closed etc.
Try it.
