How to load different html files in one page in order to load them without leaving the main stage?

Hello,
I'm new with edge animate, but i fell in love with it.
I'd like to know, is it possible to load different html pages dynamically in the main stage in order to avoid the preloader to be load?
I can figure out how to save all the pages of the site, but i can't merge them in a continuous animated browsing experience.
As sample.
I've got a index.html and home.html, how to switch form index to home without having a clear division between the two pages?
I can place all the animations within a file and this will allow me to have a continuous surfing experience but it won't generate specific and google indexable pages within the site.
Example, index.html will generate www.mysite.com, home will generate www.mysite.com/home. How ho switch dinamically between them and integrate them in a unique fading experience?

Look into using the Loader class to load the swf files. If you want to have it happen in different frames then you can put the code into the different frames.

}A JavaFX application "tainted" by Swing is still a JavaFX application, isn't it?
Loading an HTML page into a native JavaFX control would be a different story. It is hard.
I don't think it is a top priority for JavaFX team to develop a control to render HTML. Using a Swing component, which supports HTML well, does not make a JavaFX application inferior. But, if JavaFX team could make a fully functional embedded browser control supporting HTML, JavaScript, etc., I would applaud that effort wholeheartedly.
Right now, JTextPane inside a JavaFX application will crash the system, display gibberish, hang for ever or go haywire inexplicably, if JavaScript is used in the HTML page.

Hello,i am very new to dreamweaver 8,and i have searched
everwhere possible on how to create a html page.My website has a
navegation bar.And on the navegation bar it has links,like
forums,your accounts,and etc,but thats already integrated with the
website.Now i have an option in the admin area,wher i can create a
new category so that it would show up in the navegation bar,and i
have a drop down menu where i cans select what to put in that
category.But also i have an option to put a external url,so that
when they click on it,it will take them to where that link is
directed.The point is that i asnt to make a category in the
navigation menu that says Lirics.So that i can put lirics of songs
and etc,and that when users click on that link it will take them to
the lirics page..Do you guys understand?Sorry for the bad english,i
am now quite good with it..

How can I have a Flash SWF file to load a HTML page?

I'm looking for a way to have Flash (CS5) to load and display a very simple HTML web page. Basically, the SWF file would be a standalone document sent by e-mail (or people would post on their web pages), and this SWF would display the content of another web page (consisting mostly in a live video on a black background)
How can I have Flash CS5 to do that??

Yeah maybe I wasn't clear enough... Here's the big picture.
I run a live TV station, broadcasting 24/7 on the web via a Flash application (a projector basically). The video feed is streaming on my site, as well as on numerous web sites across the net. A Flash projector is also available as a standalone application, people download and use it to watch the movies without opening a web page.
I am currently changing the broadcast method, from Flash stream to HTTP stream. But since my TV is already posted and linked in many places, I want to change the Flash object on my server with a new one, that has a HTTP stream instead of the Flash stream. It seems that HTTP stream cannot be embedded in a SWF, but it can be displayed on a HTML web page. The solution I came up with is to have a HTML page to load in the Flash player. All I would need to do is to have that HTML page to display the HTTP stream.
So from there, most of my audience would not need to change anything to watch my streaming TV, while those who downloaded the old Flash projector would need to download a new one.

How to highlight an html page that has been loaded in an JEditorPane

I am creating a small application that loads an html ebook and the user will be able to highlight some phrases or words and then save the ebook. In my first step I just want when I load again the ebook the highlighted phrases to appear again. In my final step I want to create a file with the changes and when the ebook loads to combine the files to appear like the user has made it.
So please help first how I can highlight the words and in general if you can give me some hints how I should work to get the application with the way I want.

Hi, I am using CSS and HTML. I am not using a template. Not
an expert.
I want to have just one page with all main navigation links.
Parent link/list and subordinate links/list as drop down. No page
templates.
How can I get pages 1 to 10 to load a 2nd page that possesses
all the nav links? Would load into an <iframe> but first I do
not want to use that. Second I do not know how to z-index it so the
drop down links are on top of any page 1-10 info that is in the
way?
The Parent Nav link/list is horizontal and only needs to show
main parent row. Subordinates will drop down. Do not want to have
to have 1 row showing for all possible drop down rows. Ex.

How to centre the html pages & How to set the Index as Homepage (just upgraded to CS5 and am lost)

Ive just upgraded to CS5 and am a bit lost!!
1st Problem
I updated our website design (which was previously designed in fireworks using CS3) using Fireworks CS5 and exported the images etc as html and loaded into the website folder.... however now Im in dreamweaver and ive tried centring the page, but when I go into live view, its aligned on the left....
My method.... I open the page, I select the 'table' then in the property box, under Align, i click 'Centre'. This was how i centred in the older version.
2nd Problem
Where do you set the homepage?? In the version ive been using up until recently, in the 'Local view' file manager (on the right) i would simply highlight the 'index.html' page, then right-click and select 'set as homepage'..... that seems to have disappeared in the newer version. How do I do this now???

Locate and Load an HTML page from a Jar file

Hello Everyone.
I recently wrote a Java Swing application and placed it in an executable jar format.
I can locate the icons and images like so:
Image myImg = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(getClass().getResource("some.jpg"));
setIconImage(myImg);
However one of the popup frames require the loading of an HTML page in the jar file which when its not in a jar file is accomplished as follows.
String url = "file:" + System.getProperty("user.dir") System.getProperty("file.separator")"some.html";
try{
thePane.setPage(url);
catch(Exception ex){ex.printStackTrace();}
Can anyone tell my how to make the frame locate this HTML file when it is in the jar file???????

For applications, my favorite is the Classloader.
URL url = Classloader.getSystemResource("some.resource");
This can be used for any resource; images, sounds, files, you name it...

How to open an HTML page that is part of my project using Captivate 6

I'm looking to create an HTML page that will use some javascript to extract information from Captivate and then render it to the browser window as a report.
I see how you can Open a URL webpage from Captivate (by putting in an explicit address ie www.abc.com or http://www.abc.com/myReport.html)
but I'm curious what address I can use if the html file is in the SAME folder at the index.html that launches the captivate project (or perhaps one folder down).. I'm wanting to do this so it works whether I've published the project to a webserver or not.
I was thinking I could use a relative reference (ie something like .\myReport.html), but I haven't had any luck thus far

I just tried that, but when I run it in preview mode (by simply hitting F12), it gives me an error because it can't find the file in the temporary preview folder it creates (ie:
C:\Users\Tom\AppData\Local\Temp\CP2840464090993Session\CPTrustFolder2840464091009\Captivat ePreviewLoader\
I'm hoping to find a place to put it so that it works when running F12 and when running in regular 'published' mode
I was thinking I could put it in the 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 6 (32 Bit)\Templates\Publish' folder, but when I do that, it doesn't seem to gete copied to the .\CaptivatePreviewLoader folder when running F12

How to load a default page in web based application ?

I am new to j2ee , I have an application in which , when i start the application , login.html should be open by default .
One way i found is that put the page name in <welcome-file> tag inside web.xml.
My question is that there any other way like calling the dafault servlet or something else by which we can load the default page ?
Any kind of help would be great.

that sounds (to me) like the right way to do this. I suppose another way would be to have index.html redirect using a meta tag, but that's a little messy IMHO.

Hi, I have an urgent problem and no one here in office seems to be able to help me.
We have an html page uploaded in our portal and now I need to upload a new version of it. I have no idea on how to use oracle portal interface to do the job.

If the HTML page was uploaded as a "file" item type, then in order to edit the file, you must edit the file using whatever client side tool you want. Save the file locally.
Then in Portal, when editing the page the HTML file has been uploaded to, click the edit pencil for the HTML file and re-upload the new version of the HTML file.
Things uploaded to Portal as file types, you cannot directly edit the file within portal - only upload new file versions.
Not sure if this was your issue or not ... but thought maybe it was.
