How to Load an SWF into the Parent SWF

Hi all,
I have 3 SWFs.
X.SWF - Parent application. Contains an empty movie clip for
loading external swfs using loadClip() method.
B.SWF - Has some text and pics. Gets loaded into the empty
movieclip on X.SWF. Also has a button saying 'Load A.SWF'.
A.SWF - Similar to B.SWF with a button saying 'Load B.SWF'.
When I start the main application (X.SWF) and load B.SWF into
it all is fine.
But would like to click on the 'Load A.SWF' button on B.SWF
and load A.SWF into X.SWF. And visa-vesa.
The problem is I'm not able to refer to the parent container
(X) from these child (A and B) SWFs.
Is there any way to do this?

First if you use
Button.onPress=function(){
this._parent.loadMovie();
the movie try to load swf into B.swf because "this" mean the
button.Try with more ._parent or just if you X.swf is into the one
MovieClip in 1st stage _level0.SWF.loadMovie();.Also if you want to
load the A,B.swf into the stage simultaneously just create two
movieclips into the X.swf mcA and mcB and the path has gone to
_level0.SWF.mcA.loadMovie("A.swf"); :)

I am using the unloadMovieNum(); command, i have loaded the
child into level 5 of my parent swf. the parent has multiple scenes
this one with a layer with a stop(); action and another layer with
the loadMovieNum("portfolioone.swf", 5); script. it loads the child
perfectly. The child has a number of pictures in it and a back
button at the end. I have been adding the
on (release) {
unloadMovieNum(5);
script to the button which unloads the child but stops
because of the stop action in the first frame of the particular
scene within the parent. I want to be able to add a script to this
button which will take me back to a labeled frame in a particular
scene of the parent, I tried the this.removeMovieClip(); but
doesn't seem to be working for me, Thanks for the reply, hope you

File > Place is the usual way, but there are times when cut and paste is fine or better.

How to delete the duplicate rows present in the parent table & insert the latest duplicate record into the parent table linked with the child table.

I have a master table and i need to import the rows into the parent and child table.
Master table name is Flatfile_Inventory
Parent Table name is INVENTORY
Child Tables name are INVENTORY_AMOUNT,INVENTORY_DETAILS,INVENTORY_VEHICLE,
Error details will be goes to LOG_INVENTORY_ERROR
I have 4 duplicate rows in the Flatfile_Inventory which i have already inserted in the Parent and child table.
Again when i run the query using stored procedure,
its tells that all the 4 rows are duplicate and will move to the Log_Inventory_Error.
I need is if i have the duplicate rows in the flatfile_Inventory when i start inserting into the parent and child table the already inserted row have the unique ID i
must identify it and delete that row in the both parent and chlid table.And latest row must get inserted into the Parent and child table from Flatfile_Inventory.

It's also important to 'prep' the excel file prior to connecting to it.
Give the data tab a meaningful name
Make sure the column headers are unique and that every column has a header
Delete any blank tabs
If you have trouble with Excel changing the data type of a field (say, a social security number you want to be a string value rather than a number so you don't lose leading zero) an alternative would be to save the spreadsheet file as a CSV, create a schema.ini to specify the data types for each column (example below) and use the same steps to connect except instead of choosing Excel 8.0, scroll to the bottom and choose Text. You have to make sure the CSV file is in the same folder as the schema.ini file that defines the columns.

Ive just learned that i can use loadjava to load jsp pages into the database.

Ive just learned that i can use loadjava to load jsp pages into the database. How is that possible. How can someone go to my lets say, index.jsp page and actually see it if its inside the database? What authenticates it? Where would you set the parameters to tell http(apache) to look inside the db for the pages?

Thanks for the reply. If I put the file on the database, does it have to be in a particular location? I've put it on the database server, launched sql*plus (as APPS) and ran the following:

PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.Then when I try to run a process that uses this I get this:
ORA-29540: class ZebraGetPrinterFromXML does not exist

How to load rm file into ordAudio column?

Hello everybody,
I made many attempts trying to insert aa.mp3(3.63Mb) and bb.rm(3.58Mb) file into ORDSYS.ordAudio column respectively with the same way.
the result is: aa.mp3 was inserted successfully, but the bb.rm was not. It showed the error message: "java.sql.SQLException:ORA-01401:inserted value too large for column"
Why? How can I insert *.rm into the ordAudio column?

The error you get has nothing to do with the size of the media data. The error you are getting has to do with another field somewhere I think. The error you say has nothing to do with media data, but regular SQL.
It all depends on where the error is... Do you get the error on the media.loadDataFromInputStream(fStream);? I suspect, you are getting the error on the insert. and that id or filetype are too big for the column.
Could you tell me where the problem occurs? On the first insert? on the update?? I really can't debug with the amount of information here.
In general, for debugging problems, you need to break it down smaller to find the errror.
Pleas break down your insert to find the problem.
2.Would you mind telling me more detail step or code for copying ordAudio data from table
to another table with the same ORDSYS.ordAudio column property?
One media column to another would simply be

*** Question How to load a file into BI-Integrated Planning and use WAD 7.0

Hi, I created an manual DTP upload to my planning infocube and it works fine. The transformation rules convert 0CALMONTH into the relevant Calendar and Fiscal characteristics. So all of my Time Characteristics are fine, both Calendar and Fiscal.
However, When using the "How to load a file into BI-Integrated Planning and use WAD 7.0" solution, only the Calendar Characteristics are populated and not the Fiscal. The upload application somehow knows to populate the 0CALMONTH2, 0CALQUART1, 0CALQUARTER, and 0CALYEAR.
How can I get the upload to populate my Fiscal Period Characteristics?
Would it be best to modify the "Upload Application, or can I write a planning function to update the fiscal characteristics, or some other way?

My planning data is being uploaded via the SDN Planning File Upload Solution. What I did was end up modifiying the upload class ZCL_RSPLF_FILE_UPLOAD Method EXECUTE.
I added the following code if anyone is interested.

How to load an image into blob in a custom form

Hi all!
is there some docs or how to, load am image into a database blob in a custom apps form.
The general idea is that the user has to browse the local machine find the image, and load the image in a database blob and also in the custom form and then finally saving the image as blob.

We have followed the 'How to Load Flat File into BW-BPS using Web Browser' guide to build BSP web front-end to upload flat file. Everything works great but we have a requirement to populate the Planning Area Variables based on BSP drop down list with values. Does anyone know how to do this? We have the BSP coded with drop down list all we need to do now is populate variables. We can populate the variables through the planning level (hardcoded) but we need to populate them through the web interface.

Hello Gary,
We have acheived the desired result by not too a clean method but it works for us.
What we have done is, we have the link to load file in a page where the variables can be input. The user would then have the option to choose the link to load a file for the layout in that page.
By entering the variable values in the page, we are able to read the variables for the file input directly in the load program.
Maybe this approach might help.

Document will be of ASCII characters right?? but image data will be in binary format. as per database concept it is stored as binary large object. But in datawarehousing the back end is also going to be some database such as Oracle or other DBs.
which can take blob's. so it would be possible to store the binary data.
If any one has faced this situation can reply.to this ques.
can post the step to load image(jpg/bmp or any image format) data in to info cube??

It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.
