HOW-TO load .jars in ORACLE10g Database throug deployment profile in Jd1013

Hi everybody,
In Jdev10.1.2 it is very simple to deploy an amount of jars to a database through use of a loadjava deployment profile. The to be deployed jar files are simply added to the additional classpath in the project properties.
In Jdev1013 there isnt an option path in the project properties as ther is in Jdev1012. Can someone plz tell me how i can load java classes with an loadjava deployment profile in Jdev10.1.3. Where can i add thos jars to the project (how can you add .jars to the additional classpath of the project?)
Many thx

I don't think that's possible, so load it through the OS with the loadjava utility.

  • How to Load a data for database when format is different??

    Hai all...
I have problem in Apex while loading the data to a database from external files..
Like i have my project input data in spreadsheet format..I wanted to load that in to Database..
But sequence and column names are different in spreadsheet and database tables.
    My problem is like.....
In manual input format(spreadsheet) column names are employee names and while loading that to database i want to load that in a separate column named emp_name..
    It looks as below
    Manual data is like this:
WEEK ENDING DATE          Abc          Xyz          Pqr
    15-Nov-08                    71.4          50          100
    22-Nov-08                    76.9          100          100
i have database table like this
    Column Name               Data Type
    EMP_NAME               VARCHAR2(100)
    WEEK_END_DATE          DATE
    PERCENTAGE               NUMBER(2,0)
So I should be able to store like this
    Emp_name          Week_end_date      Percentage
    Abc               15-Nov-08               71.4
    Xyz               15-Nov-08          50
    Pqr               15-Nov-08               100
    Abc               22-Nov-08               76.9
    Xyz               22-Nov-08     100
    pqr 22-Nov-08               100
But i am not able to get that..
Can any one suggest me how to do that in Apex..??
Should I use SQL loader for that???or do I have any option in Apex??or i should go for C program??
    Thanks and Regards
    Shan

    Hello Shan,
You can access a CSV as an "External Table" (search on that). Then you can access the CSV as it was a 'normal' table and process data into your real tables.

  • How to load jar files from remote location

    Hi all,
I am trying to load jar files from remote server, from a servlet which is running on OC4j.
For doing this,First I am getting ClassLoader by using ClassLoader.getSystemClassLoader() and then type casting it to URLClassLoader.
But by doing it I am getting ClassCastException, because oc4j returns oracle.classloader.PolicyClassLoader instead of java.net.ClassLoader.
Appreciate if anyone can tell me how to load remote jar files using oracle.classloader.PolicyClassLoader .
    Thanks

    Hi,
I suppose you know about this, but just in case.
I have used jnpl to load jar files from remote location.

  • How to load .jar files of subfolder in web-inf/lib folder?

    Hi All,
In 'webapps\myappliction\WEB-INF\lib\myfolder' and in myfolder have some .jar files. How to load subfolder jar files in weblogic server 10.0?
Do I need to configure subfolder jar path in web.xml? Please help me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Gangadhar

Class loaders associated with a Web application can be configured to locate local classes first. To enable this we have to set the <prefer-web-inf-classes> to true in the deployment override weblogic.xml, for example
    <container-descriptor>
    <prefer-web-inf-classes>true</prefer-web-inf-classes>
    </container-descriptor>

  • How to load data from different database

    Hi,
My problem is how to load Foxpro 2.6/clipper data into oracle 8 with all its structure and data with SQL loader or other utility if any.
And also how can i integrate existing forpro system into Oracle. i.e client will work on Foxpro application and we will only take its output(data files) on daily basis and convert it into Oracle 8.
    Please find any solution.
    Regards
    null

You can also try to make up an ODBC connection to Foxpro and convert the data from foxpro to oracle using the COPY command (see docs on PL/SQL & OCA). I remember that foxpro/clipper are running on MS-DOS, so I don't know if you can establish an ODBC connection to oracle which can be used from the foxpro/clipper application to use it as a frontend for an oracle database.

  • How can I deploy a jar with directory entries using deploy profiles?

    Hi,
I'm trying to deploy a jar file using deloy profiles, but the jar file deployed contains no directory entry. Why?
Is it possible to do that using deploy profiles?

    my project looks like this:
    src +
     - test
         +- Main.java
         +- Test.java
when I create a jar with 'jar -cf‘, I get something like this (with flat folders view):
    META-INF
    test
    Main.class
    MANIFEST.MF
    Test.class
but when I use deploy profile to deploy a jar, I get this:
    Main.class
    MANIFEST.MF
    Test.class
The directory entries are missing in the jar file.
    How can I fix this?

  • Helped, how to load xml data into database

    Hi,
Given a DTD, can the XML SQL Utility generate
    the database schema?
I currently have the dtd file to define
the data type and xml data and I am looking
for ways of how the XML/DTD can be loaded
    into the oracle db.
    Any suggestions/recommendations are

You could check out this web site:
    http://www.rpbourret.com/xml/XMLAndDatabases.htm#software
where you can find a list of products that can translate a DTD to a relational schema. Also, there are several technical papers that discuss algorithms to carry out this translation. FYI, We have implemented a similar system, and testing it out.

  • How to load jar file in one shot?

I have a Java app refers some jar files on remote location. Loading class by class is very time consuming.
Is it possible to load the jar files as a whole? like what applet does?
Tried URLClass loading, even run java -jar, still those load class on demand.
I want the jar file loaded only one time into JVM.

I don't really understand. When you load a jar file using URLClassLoader it brings over the jar file and extracts the class files from the jar file. It does not bring over the class files as individual class files. If you mean you want to only ever bring over the jar file once then why not just copy the jar file using URLConnection and save it to disk. You can then load the jar file from disk each time the program starts.

  • How to load .jar files when not specified in the .jnlp file

    Hello,
We are deploying an application with JWS but due to the nature of this app, we need to download additional jar file only when the user has been authenticated. The jar file(s) we need to download can hardly be predicted (in term of name) and thus cannot be all listed as lazzy resource in the .jnlp file.
However, we would like to take advantage of the various JWS features relateed to .jar download and cache and would prefer not to reinvent the wheel by implementing our on stuff (i.e. URLClassLoader with caching etc.).
    Any idea, suggestion?
    Thanks in advance.
    Fred.

How about writing a second jnlp file with the optional jar listed in it and running it only if your user is authenticated?

  • How to load a image from database to image item in oracle 10 g form

I have stored some images in the Database Table with BLOB datatype. Now I need to load that image in the non database image item. Please advise. Thanks.

You need to have a print server installed to generate the pdf. Either use BI Publisher and it's desktop development tool or use FOP/Cocoon.. Adding an image with them is a little more involved..

  • How to load jpeg images in database?

I have an employees panel and it has a box to show employee's picture. Normally I double click on the box and it takes me to the folder where I have stored all employees jpeg file. I click on the one I need and then insert, it shows up on the panel and also saving the data in a table called PS_EMPLOYEE_IMAGE table.
If I want to insert number of images at one time thru the back end like sqlplus is there a way to do it? This saves me lot of time instead of entering thru the panel. Can it be done? For example fot employee1 insert jpeg1, employee2 jpeg2 etc. DO I have to use any tool to convert these jpeg files into some other data and then insert it? Is there any pl/sql package to do it?. If some one can explain me with simple explanation I really appreciate as I am not an real oracle person. Googling for this issue says it can be done but it is not very clear in steps of doing it.

Thanks for your help. I did exactly like what you described (see below)
    1) I created a image_file.txt file as shown below
    EMPLID|EFFDT|EFF_STATUS|IMAGE_FILE
    100000|08-FEB-2011|A|H:\SQL_Loader\George_Test.jpg
    100001|08-FEB-2011|A|H:\SQL_Loader\Eftihia_Test.jpg
    2) Then created EE_Image_Tbl.ctl file as shown below.
    OPTIONS (DIRECT=TRUE, SKIP=1)
    UNRECOVERABLE
    LOAD DATA
    APPEND
    INTO TABLE PS_EMPLOYEE_IMAGE
    FIELDS TERMINATED BY '|'
    (EMPLID
    ,EFFDT
    ,EFF_STATUS
    ,IMAGE_FILE FILLER CHAR(80)
    ,EE_IMAGE LOBFILE(IMAGE_FILE) TERMINATED BY EOF)
    3) then used the sql loader (load_ee_image.sql)
    $ sqlldr DH5M/ep5evs1@KDH5MI01 control=h:\sql_loader\EE_Image_Tbl.ctl log=h:\sql_loader\load_ee_image.log data=h:\sql_loader\image_file.txt
    SQL> --*
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> --*
    SQL> @h:\sql_loader\load_ee_image.sql;
    SQL> $ sqlldr DH5M/ep5evs1@KDH5MI01 control=h:\sql_loader\EE_Image_Tbl.ctl log=h:\sql_loader\load_ee_image.log data=h:\sql_loader\image_file.txt
    SQL> --*
    SQL> --*
    SQL> --*
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> --rollback;
    SQL> --*
    SQL> spool off

    Number to skip: 1
    Errors allowed: 50
    Continuation: none specified
    Path used: Direct
Load is UNRECOVERABLE; invalidation redo is produced.
Table PS_EMPLOYEE_IMAGE, loaded from every logical record.
Insert option in effect for this table: APPEND
Column Name Position Len Term Encl Datatype
    EMPLID FIRST * | CHARACTER
    EFFDT NEXT * | CHARACTER
    EFF_STATUS NEXT * | CHARACTER
    IMAGE_FILE NEXT 80 | CHARACTER
    (FILLER FIELD)
    EE_IMAGE DERIVED * EOF CHARACTER
Dynamic LOBFILE. Filename in field IMAGE_FILE
SQL*Loader-418: Bad datafile datatype for column EE_IMAGE
This is becasue my image datatype can be declared as LONG RAW dara type thru my application.
When I created a table with image datatype as BLOB it worked.
But I want to insert into the existing table where image is declared as LONG RAW. How to insert jpeg into this field. Do I have to convert anything? Thx.
