How to locate current position and navigator witho...

Hi, I am using Nokia N8 with lastest version of Ovi map. It said that I can download offline map from Ovi suite and use built-in GPS to navigating. But after downloading UK map, Ovi map even could not locate my current position and navigate (still saying waiting for GPS). Note that i was not connecting to internet and map was in offline mode. Anyone know to use Ovi map offline as a proper navigator because I can see others GPS on vehicle could still work without internet. Thanks

For getting the GPS Lock (Initial positioning)..you must go to an area open to sky.. Open the Maps application and wait for anything between 5 and 25 minutes. If the area is surrounded by Highrise buildings or tall trees and / or the weather is cloudy / rainy then it will take considerably longer time for the fix. Also note that if you start the application at a new place.. meaning Used at place A.. navigated to B using it and putting it OFF.. now if you start it again at any place other than B it will again take a longer time for the fix as against starting at B..
Once you get the fix.. you will not have problems navigating..
BTW you do not need Internet connection for GPS to work.. Only select Integrated GPS positioning method and OFFLINE under the internet option in the Maps application..

I have a stepper motor (8SMC1-USBhF) and a power meter (PM100D). I want to measure the power while the stepper motor is moving, and obtain an XY graph with the current position on x axis and the power on y axis. So I just merged the two VIs together by copying and pasting, and created local variables for current position and readout value, and changed them to read, and then linked them to the XY graph, but apparently it doesnt work.
So could you please instruct me how to merge them and obtain an XY graph appropriately?

Hello,
The XY graph requires that each datapoint on the X axis corresponds to a datapoint on the Y axis. To create XY data you will need to creat two arrays of X data and Y data with the same amount of elements then cluster the two arrays together to wire into the XY graph. As an example take a look at the VI snippet below. Is there a specific error being thrown?

How to display Current Year and Month in Drop Down list

Hi Dear friends,
I am devloping a report. It has got 2 pages--input and output(Report) page.
IN input page, user will select Month and Year from drop down list as one of the input parameters. (seperate drop down list 4 month and year)
Now, my problem is:
HOw to display current month and year by default in the dropdown list...........

it is not working.
First i tired with for-loop. I initialized variable "i" to -2 (i=-2) I would get the year drop down list from 2003 but, by default 2003 would come.
So, i posted the question.

It will show the database and central instance time : Report name :rsdbtime

How to get current time and date from my PC time and date to the java application??
i use java.util.* package but got error, that is:
- java.util.* and java.sql.* class are match
- abstract class cannot be instantiated

There is a method in the System class that will return the current system time. You could also instantiate a Date, Time, Timestamp, or Calendar object, all of which get created with the system time by default.
Don't import *. Import the specific classes you need.
Next time, post the actual text of the exceptions/compile errors. If you make people guess, most just won't bother.

How to display current postion and previous position in the same row?

I need to produce a promotions/transfer report that gives the employee's current position as well as his/her previous position in the same row.
for example:

I am using the per_all_people_f, per_all_assignments_f, per_periods_of_service, hr.all_organization_units, per_all_positions tables
Somehow i cannot manage to display the previous position. I can only get so far to display the current postions

Ok so here is my problem. The current position display 3 times. The rest is correct. it only display once. Any ideas on how to get rid of the 2 extra rows that is being displayed with the current position?? I only need the current position to display once with the previous position info.

How can show current YEar Sales in one column and Last YEar Sales in the other column based on a user prompt for the Current YEar Column.
For Example is user enter 2010 for Year how can i show a Column for Sales-2010 and Sales 2009.

If you can modify your Universe add an object named New Object Last Year whose SQL is:( yourTableName.Year + 1)
Then in WebI create two distinct queries in your query Pane. In the first one you could do this:
Query 1:
objects: Year, Sales ... etc.
filters:   Year Equal to '1. Prompt Year'
Query 2:
objects: Year, Sales ... etc.
filters:    New Object Last Year Equal to '1.Prompt Year'
Then in your report you can drag each object on their respective columns.
If you don't want to use two distinct queries, use one like this:
Query 1:
objects: Year, Sales ... etc.
filters:        Year Equal to '1. Prompt Year'
             Or
                  New Object Last Year Equal to '1.Prompt Year'

How to copy the positions and their relationships of one org.unit to other

f there about 20 organization units among which 6 org.units have same positions and same relationships ,i know that we can create one org.units and their relationships among 6 similar org.units and then copy the same position and relationships to other 5 org.units as well instead of individually creating positions and assigning relationships to them which results in wasting a quality time.but i dont know how to copy it? so please help me by informing me in details how to copy the positions n their relationships to other org units.

Hi.
This may sound like a bit of a pain in the *** but why not save the channel strip settings into your own folder then that way you can open them up in other songs and you have some channel strips to try out when you cant find anything else to fit. Plus its fun to open up lots of different audio onto the tracks and see what the effects sound like, Brian Eno style.....

How to get Current week and No of Weeks for each quarter!!

As a part of report development I have to derive Current week and No.of Weeks in Curreny Query. Based on these information I have to calculate Phased target (Calculated KYF).
Phased target = (Target for Quarter / No of weeks in Current Quarter) X Current Week.
We have to derive Current Quarter and Current week from Customer Exit (From Invoice date, which is an entry by Users at report level).
My questions are:
1) We have to derive Two Restricted key figures (by Calweek) for derving No of weeks for Currnet Quarter and Current week in Query level. Based on this info, we have to derive Calculated kef figure for Phased target.
2) And the output is 6 (ex:- 132008) char length for Current week and we have to pick Week info only and we have to populate RKF created for Current week. How we can achieve this.
3) Regarding the No of weeks per for current quarter, we are writing Customer exit to determine Quarter and no of weeks, but how to bring this info in query level.
4) Is there any standard code available (SAP Exit) to find Current week and No of Weeks in Current quarter.

Follow the below step for the doing the same:
1. Create a customer exit variable on calweek.
2. Restrict the created variable for respective info object.
3. To Populate the data write code in CMOD.
     in enhancement function module: EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 -> in Include ZXRSRU01 write the below code:
WHEN '<variable name>'.
     IF i_step = 1.
      CLEAR l_s_range.
      CALL FUNCTION 'RSVAREXIT_0P_CWEEK'
        IMPORTING
          e_t_range = lt_week.

How to derive Current week and Number of Weeks for present quarter.

Hi,
Currently we are developing a report on Actuals and Planned sales. We have two different data targets to hold these information.
CRM team will provide targets for BP monthly in CRM table, from where we are extracting the data into BW and report exection frequency is Daily.
Report Output format:-
1) Target1St Month in the quarter, Target2nd Month in the quarter, Target3rd Month in the quarter, Target Quarter, Month To date (Taget for Current month - Sales till today),
Let us assume we are Q1 and user executing this report on end of March Target1 = Jan, Target2 = Feb, Target 3 = March and Quarter target = Target1 + Target2 + Target 3.
We can achieve this by offset variables.
But if users are exectuing this report Apr (Q2) then Target1 = Apr target , target2 and target3 =0
Becoz we are in Q2 and first month of the quarter. If users are executing this report in May target1 should be Apr target and Target 2 = May target and Target3rd month should be Zero.
2) We have one keyfigure called as Quarter Phased Target = (Quarter target/ No of weeks in current quarter)* current week; For this we have to get No of weeks in every quarter and Curren week (when the reports get executed).
Let us assume we are executing this report on 25th jan and target for that month = 122units then Quarter phased target = [(122 + 0 (For Feb)+ 0 (For Mar) )/ 13] X4
4 is becoz we are in 4th in that quarter,
13 is becoz no of weeks in that quarter.
0 (For Feb) - Becoz we are in Jan only..
Hence please let me know how to get No of weeks in Current quarter and Current week for every quarter..

For the first querry.
the problem is because u are using calmonth.
Instead of using cal month use fiscal period.
When u use fiscal period the data will be shown automatically for the Previous months using offsets.
u have to take taht in ur transformation and should map it to constant value depending on the fiscal periods of ur compnay?
march- apr,jan-dec etc.
for teh second querry there would be some charecteristic which might give data in weeks as well just check that and if availabe u can use it.
am not too sure abt it.

In the standard we use &uline(100) & , Here I want to replace &uline(100) & with the command BOX ...., So how can i get the current position of the current line in SAPscript ? Hi,
I need to calculate current quarter and fiscal quarter in my Sql query.
I have a column for DateTime Datatype.
I need to find out Current Quarter Name like Q12012, Q22012, Q32012, Q42012 and Fiscal Quarter Name as well.
Now Fiacal Year starts from 1st April, and Current Quarter starts from 1st Jan.
For Current Quarter of 2012
Jan-Mar = Q12012
Apr-Jun = Q22012
Jul-Sep = Q32012
Oct-Dec = Q42012
For Fiscal Quarter of 2012 ( starts from 1st Apr, 2011 )
Apr2011-Jun2011 = Q12012
Jul2011-Sep2011 = Q22012
Oct2011-Dec2011 = Q32012
Jan2011-Mar2012 = Q42012
means if its 1st April, 2012,
its a new Fiacal Year 2013 so Fiacal Quarter Name should be Q12013
and its Current Quarter Name should be Q22012
Can you help me to calculate this in a select query for given dates?

I had this issue too. What I discovered was that some of the slides in one of my presentations were off the screen. Some because I had dropped pictures onto a blank slide, and others because I switched background images on recorded slides and didn't merge the images into the existing background. After fixing those issues and republishing, I put the revised .swf into the aggregator and it worked.
