How to lookup percentile table and Records table For Dashboard purpose?

Hi Folks,
I have Created one USP_Storedprocedure : whic is create table 1 results, I have another stored procedure
which has N no of columns. But For the dashboard purpose I want 2 columns only (whic are
table 2 sample Results, that table held N no of rows that will vary every month )
my Requirement is i wnat to look up boath tables using T-Sql or any other. I neeed to find % of each  person value:
i am excepingting this code for second table person %
Select PersonID,((Value * 100)/(Select MAX(values)
From XX Table) From XX Table
?? how can I lookup boath tables can you please advise me thanks in advance

Hi Cherkuri
What I understand from your statement, you want to get the percentile no in table 1 for each record in table 2.
Below is my proposed solution and its output:
DECLARE @Table1 AS TABLE
PercentileNo INT,
Per1 INT,
Per2 INT
DECLARE @Table2 AS TABLE
Person_ID VARCHAR(50),
Value INT
INSERT INTO @Table1
SELECT 1, 1, 10
UNION SELECT 2, 11, 20
UNION SELECT 3, 21, 30
UNION SELECT 4, 31, 40
UNION SELECT 5, 41, 50
UNION SELECT 6, 51, 60
UNION SELECT 7, 61, 70
UNION SELECT 8, 71, 80
UNION SELECT 9, 81, 90
UNION SELECT 10, 91, 100
INSERT INTO @Table2
SELECT 'person1',12
UNION SELECT 'person1',11
UNION SELECT 'person2',5
UNION SELECT 'person3',18
UNION SELECT 'person3',16
SELECT * FROM @Table1 t
INNER JOIN @Table2 t2 ON 1=1
WHERE t2.Value BETWEEN t.Per1 AND t.Per2

  • How to design a table for Billing purpose

    hi all
I want to develop a software for Billing purpose
A company wants to record all sales in computer and at the month end wants to print out billing for all clients I have design this in foxpro and in Foxpro we did that when new month will start then new table generate like Crd_0707 (Credit month year).
now I want to develop in oracle how I should start this project I mean who can I design tables.
    thanks

If you understand relational theory and design shik Date's books. What you need to understand before porting an application from another database to Oracle is how Oracle works.
If you do not know relational design then you need to learn it long before you start any porting project.
If you know relational design then read the Application Developers Guide - Fundamentals, plus the first few chapters of the SQL manual up until the syntax diagrams start. These chapters identify the single row and aggregate functions that Oracle provides and introduce optimizer hints for tuning while the later chapters provide the syntax for DDL: create table, create view, etc .... You will also want to read the PL/SQL Users Guide and Reference then look at the supplied PL/SQL Packages and Types manual.
After reading all this you meet the minimum requirements to work with Oracle, and I really do mean minimum.

  • ADF View Objects and Recording changes for Auditing Purposes

    Hello,
I am a new to the JDeveloper paradigm and currently working on a J2EE web pilot project. I was wondering if I could get some some ideas on how I could implement auditing in an application. Basically when a user modifies some entries on the screen, I would like to make a note of what the record was like before commiting to the database. An administrator could then see, what changes the record has been through over a period of time.
I was thinking of using XMLTypes with the database. Does Jdeveloper handle oracle XMLType fields, or would I be looking at something along the lines of a CLOB? At this point, I would rather not implement this functionality using database triggers. Any alternate suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi,
I am also interested in a best-practice note from oracle.
Currently we store history in seperate history tables for columns that changed. All this implemented in our BaseEoImpl overriding the EntityImpl.prepareForDML().
    Thanks

  • How to create Percentile Table format

I have table below i am looking write tsal For Dashboard purpose.
Actually I want to create parameter Dynamically: if I give value
parameter = 10% this splitting like below: 100/10
    parameter = 25%
    1-25
    26-50
    Parameter =5% rang
    1-5
    6-10
    11-15
    16-20
    I need Dynamic Input

    DECLARE @forumTable TABLE (value float)
    WHILE (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM @forumTable) < 50
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO @forumTable (value)
    VALUES (ROUND(((20 - 0- 1)*rand())+0,2))
    END
    ;WITH pTile AS (
SELECT MAX(value) AS pTileUpper, MAX(value)-(MAX(value)/10) AS pTileLower, 10 AS pTile
    FROM @forumTable
    UNION ALL
    SELECT (pTileUpper/10)*(pTile-1), (pTileUpper/10)*(pTile-2), pTile - 1 AS pTile
    FROM ptile
    WHERE pTile - 1 >= 1
SELECT COUNT(*) AS cnt, pTile, pTile*10 AS pct, pTileLower, pTileUpper
    FROM @forumTable f
    INNER JOIN pTile p
    ON f.value BETWEEN p.pTileLower AND p.pTileUpper
    GROUP BY pTile, pTileLower, pTileUpper
    ORDER BY pTile
I think this is something like what you want.
First I set up a demo table to hold some random data for testing/demo. It just puts a bunch of random floats ranging from 0 to 20 in a table.
Using that table, we use an rCTE to create a percentile lookup table, based on 10% increments.
Finally, we can now join the percentile lookup to our table and group by the percentiles to display the following results:
    cnt pTile pct pTileLower pTileUpper
    1 4 40 0.8468712 1.1291616
    1 5 50 2.2583232 2.822904
    5 7 70 8.06544 9.40968
    10 8 80 11.7621 13.4424
    4 9 90 14.936 16.803
    6 10 100 16.803 18.67

I'm not sure what you mean by, 'How to check with table for cursor..?' but I'll offer a comment on your Code Snippet. I think you want to know how to check if a record exists so you know if you need to perform an INSERT or an UPDATE.
Here is a snippet of your code. I'll put my comments in "Comment" style in your code.
-- Insert / Update final profit plan for final_update query using cursor

** This construct automatically exits when the last record is processed. */
       EXIT WHEN rec_final_update_el%NOTFOUND;
/* Is this where you would like to know how to Check if the record already exist??
** I asked this because, 'rec_final_update_el.' is not valid syntax.  Are you looking for
** an Cursor Attribute or Method you can check here?
** I would suggest a Primary Key or Unique Index on ENT, CENTER, and POST_ACCT
** on the TEMP_FINAL_PLAN table. Then simply perform an INSERT and code an
** Exception to UPDATE when you get a DUP_VAL_ON_INDEX exception.  Otherwise,
** you will need to simply run an Implicit or Explicit Cursor to test if the row exists and
** use this return value to determine if you should INSERT or UPDATE.  */

    pls respond. thanks in advance

    Hi,
Go to RSO2 at source system, Enter data source and click on display.
if its table based then you can see table name there it self.
if its view based then notedown the view name and go to  SE11, provide view and click on display. see joined table names there.

  • How's this partition table for my server?

How's this partition table for my server?  Web/DNS/DHCP/Mail Server.
    hdd1: ~8gb total
    /boot - 100mb
    swap - 1gb
    / - rest of drive
    hdd2: ~155gb total
    /var - whole drive
This is a Compaq ProLiant 5500 server with 10 drives.  Will most things be installed inside /var or what?

    Zetsumei wrote:Web/DNS/DHCP/Mail Server.
    Web = /srv
    DNS = /var
    DHCP = /var
Mail = Depends which package you use. I use postfix and told it to use /srv
I would half your swap, reduce /var and put the extra space into /srv
Also create a separate /tmp and /home to prevent accidental or deliberate DoS attacks by filling your / partition
Here's what I use on my Web / DNS / FTP server:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    /dev/xvda 493M 176M 317M 36% /

  • How to get the lock and block occured for the full day

    Hi,
How to monitor the lock and blocks occurred for the full day? i need to get it by end of the day. is there any script for this?

    Hi,
How to monitor the lock and blocks occurred for the full day? i need to get it by end of the day. is there any script for this?
Why would you like to collect information about locks and let me tell you, you cannot collect information about ALL locks which were taken and even thinking about it is pointless.
Coming to blocking if you have heavy system with huge concurrency there is bound to be blocking which is necessary and good for RDBMS but if the blocking remains for long time then this is a issue.
There is DMV sys.dm_tran_locks which tell you what all locks are being taken. You can see various examples mentioned in DMV online documentation and can schedule the query to run every 5
mins and insert its record in table which you can refer at end of the day.
This task would be made very easy if you have Monitoring tool which gives you information in your mail every time blocking occurs I have Spotlight in my environment.
If you are looking for doc for troubleshooting blocking  below is one you can refer

  • How to avoid the Amount and Date values for VOID Cheques

    Hi All,
I had created a two window i.e For Amount and Date. If I process the cheque the Amount value and Date should not trigger for VOID CHEQUES.
Can any one tel me how to avoid the Amount and Date values for VOID Cheques
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    Yathish

    Hi,
I dont know which tablel you are referring to, is it PAYR table and the field VOIDR?
If a cheque is voided, it would have a reason and it is stored in VOIDR field of this PAYR table.
Check if the field VOIDR is filled, if it is filled, do not print the amount and date.

  • Can anybody tell me how to extract sales value and cost value for an materi

    dear all,
Can anybody tell me how to extract sales value and cost value for an material sold .
All the values of cost value and sale values are getting  stored in bseg-wrbtr field .
    How to identify them uniquely.
Or there is another way to find the sale and cost values.
    Regards
    Mave

    Hi Mave!
Normally there is no condition change, when something is sold.
But sales price depends on sales conditions (not only price, but also surcharges, discounts, taxes - if customized).
Nevertheless, after selling you have a invoice document, where correct values <i>should</i> be stored (see VBRP fields mentioned above). If here is a problem, then customizing of price determination is in question, not a programming of user-exits with MARD selection for costs (or some other tries to get a price).
When you specify your requirements more in detail, you might get better answers - but currently only general hints are possible ('see in invioce / G/L accounts').
