How to make 1=1.00 in 10g?

I have a query in 9i works well, but in 10g not work because dataa type mismatch:
select ........... where A = B,
data type A is number , B is number(10)
how to make 1=1.00 in 10g?
Thanks

number's default is 10,2
so how to make 1.00 =1 in 10g?As you can see from this following example, there's no problem from the information you have given...
SQL> desc prove_case;
Name                                                                     Null?    Type
X                                                                                 NUMBER
Y                                                                                 NUMBER(10,2)
SQL> insert into prove_case values (1, 1.00);
1 row created.
SQL> select * from prove_case;
         X          Y
         1          1
SQL> select * from prove_case where x = y;
         X          Y
         1          1
SQL> insert into prove_case values (2.25, 2.25);
1 row created.
SQL> select * from prove_case;
         X          Y
         1          1
      2.25       2.25

    Is the library in the same directory or within your FORMS_PATH? Note that the runtime setting in the default.env doesn't work for the builder.

  • How to make a job run on a appointed node

    I have a problem. The database is Oracle 10g, RAC, two nodes
    There are some job which run on everyday night. Now, something happened, the job run on Node A can't work as normal, but if run on node B, It will work well.
    so I just want to submit the jobs on Node B, I submited the jobs on Node B, but the jobs always run on Node A.
    I want to know how to make a job run on a appointed node.

    the Job just transfer some procedure to add partitions for some table, to merge the records from some tables to one table and so on.
    the problem is when the job run on Node A, it is very very slow, the procedure would run hours and not success end, but if on Node B it will successfully end in seconds.
    restart the Node A would be a way for the problem, but may it will leave a hidden trouble. I want save the scene to find out the problem
    so can you help me

    How can I change SGA_TARGET IN Oracle 10G.
    How Can i recreate SPFILE IN Oracle 10G.

    Dear Experts,
    Please tell me
    How can I change SGA_MAX_SIZE IN Oracle 10G.
    How can I change SGA_TARGET IN Oracle 10G.
    How Can i recreate SPFILE IN Oracle 10G.SGA_MAX_SIZE and SGA_TARGET are all to be changed by alter system statement.
    The difference is, you can't make change to SGA_MAX_SIZE effective while instance is running. Need restart database to make change effective.
    Your can change SGA_TARGET while instance is running, as long as it's smaller than SGA_MAX_SIZE
    to recreate a spfile,
    you can shutdown your database,
    find a copy of valid pfile,
    startup pfile=/directory/yourpfile
    and
    create spfile from pfile;

    I can't make a connection from JDeveloper 10g (9.0.5.0.0) to WebLogic 8.1
    When I click "Test connection" JDeveloper 10g writes the following:
    Cannot instantiate class: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory
    Have somebody ever established a connection from JDeveloper 10g (9.0.5.0) to WebLogic 8.1? How to do this?

    It connects successfully now. Thank you for the information.
    But it does nothing when I try to deploy my J2EE application.
    I right-click on Resources -> application.deploy, choose "Deploy to" -> my connection. It starts to do something obscure.
    Then I go to the WebLogic console and it shows that there is no my application.

  • How to make a physical standby database in the read_only state in 11g?

    In 10g, we can make a physical standby database in the read_only state. But in 11g, no a read_only state for a physical standby database. How to make a physical standby database in the read_only state in 11g?

    Hi
    read-only mode (for 11g physical standby)
    A mode in which a database can be opened that allows queries, but disallows modifications.
    A physical standby database can be opened read-only so that queries may be performed. If a license for the Oracle Active Data Guard option has been purchased, a physical satndby database can be open while redo apply is active. This capability is known as Real-time Query.

  • How to change SGA and PGA in 10g r2 RAC

    Hi,
    How to change SGA and PGA in 10g r2 RAC, its Linux.

    Hi,
    Here is the way i followed to change SGA and PGA in RAC.
    Action Plan to change the memory parameter in the production environment(5/21/2010)
    Note:
    =====
    Practice should be done in the DEV/TST environment before moving to Production;
    Although the procedure could be applied in the testing environment the changing values
    used in the testing environment should be modified since RAM number are not the
    same between the testing servers and production servers.
    1.     Make changes to these two parameters in one of
         the prod instance, e.g. PROD1
         ====================================================
         login as sysdba on sqlplus
    Change :
    alter system set sga_target=28G scope=spfile sid='*';
    Change :
    alter system set pga_aggregate_target=4G scope =spfile sid='*';
         sql>alter system set pga_aggregate_target=4G scope=both;
         sql>show parameter pga_aggregate_target;
              -- should see the altered number on both instances
    Change:
    sql>alter system set sga_max_size=28G scope=spfile sid='*';
    sql>alter system set sga_max_size=28G scope=spfile ;
    sql>alter system set sga_target=28G scope=spfile;
    3.     shutdown database PROD (two instances should be shut down)
         $>srvctl stop database -d PROD
         $>. /$ORA_CRS_HOME/bin/crs_stat -- to check for the database status
    4.     bring up database PROD (two instance should be brought up)
         $>srvctl START database -d PROD
         $>. /$ORA_CRS_HOME/bin/crs_stat -- to check for the database status
         login into both instances as sysdba to check
         sql>show parameter pga_aggregate_target
         sql>show parameter sga_max_size
              -- should see the altered number still there in both instances
              -- from step 1
         -- After confirming above two parameters are altered on both instances,
         -- then issue the syntax below in one instance
    5)     check everything is ok

    I want each user use his own's Plan_Table. How to achieve this goal?Which version of Oracle - if you're on 10g or later you are already (effectively) doing this.
    If not, then copy the 10g strategy back to your version; in outline:
    <ul>
    drop all existing plan tables
    create a table (but call it plan_table$) in the SYS schema (you may prefer to use SYSTEM) as a global temporary table on commit preserve rows
    create a public synonym plan_table for plan_table$
    grant select insert update delete on plan_table to public
    </ul>
    Look in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catplan.sql in a 10g version of Oracle to check how it's done.
    Each user gets a private (temporary) table in their temporary tablespace whenever they use the plan_table
    Their private data disappears when there session ends.

  • How to make oracle is case insentive ( not case sensitive)

    SqlServer by default is NOT case sensitive (data content) while Oracle by default is case sensitive (data content).
    please help me to give the solution
    How to make oracle is case insentive ( not case sensitive)
    if there is anyway to make Oracle behave like SqlServer changing NLS settings or any other Oracle settings?
    I have solution for application level . it is working fine
    Possible solutions:
    1. You want to store data case insensitive: do an 'insert...
    values(upper('Abcd'))...'.
    This will put your data in upper case into the tables.
    2. Your data will be mixed-case and you want to select them case
    insensitive:
    create 'function based indexes' on every column you want to use in
    your where-clauses.
    Then 'select ... where <column_name> = 'ABCD'.

    What version of Oracle? Oracle 10g has a capability that can toggle this feature on and off at the session level. Prior versions do not.
    For prior versions you usually have to make use of the upper and/or lower functions in your queries. Sometimes a function based index, FBI, is used to handle this.
