How to make a checkbox hide and show div between two different pages

Hi
I am developing a mobile site application.
Currently I need to make a checkbox effect.
Here is how I want the checkbox to work for me..
I want users to click on the checkbox, for an option on the editor as well as its content on the live mobile to hide.
These are two different files which contains the user interface.(the live mobile file and the editor file)
Now how can I make it possible to make both options hide or show at the same time after a user clicks on the
checkbox to show or hide.
Is it possible for a checkbox created on a different file affects an external file to hide a div within that file?
If so kindly advice me on this.

There are several tutorials out there for dissolving a layer, turning text to sand, and similar things. Use any/all of those and then time remap that composition to make the particles form into your word.

Use alv styles to achieve this, set the style for each record before displaying the ALV. Structure LVC_S_STYL.
Take a look at the example BCALV_EDIT_02, it is OOPS based, but check how the style table is filled.

I am having the requirement to capture the error from a PL/SQL package and show the error in OAF page with meaning full error.
Assume i am having the create and review page.
The create page having the employeeLOV input field (non mandatory field).
(i have the package which will check whether this LOV value is filled or not.. if not given then the user should be able to see a "understandable message.)
to achieve the above scenario am following the below steps

with in try catch i called the am method which will invoke the XX_CUSTOM_PKG.
so, from the catch it is giving me the message as shown below.

Make a button hide and show an image

I want a button to hide and then show an image, basically an on/off switch. I tried accomplishing this using multipl slides that jump around but even after removing all transitions, you can still tell that the slides are changing instead of just the image appearing and disappearing. I have seen some posts about advanced actions but it's reading clear as mud.

If you want a toggle button, that can be done with advanced actions. What did you read already? And which version of Captivate are you using?
The idea is that:
You create the image, but set its visibility unchecked in the Properties panel
You create a user variable, will label it v_visib that has a start value of 0, will be set to 1 when the image is visible
You create a conditional advanced action, that will check the value of v_visib:
IF v_visib is equal to 0
    Show Image
     Assign v_visib with 1
ELSE
    Hide Image
    Assign v_visib with 0

How to insert a local member in a column between two different nested row dimensions

Hi Experts,
We have a report which has two dimensions in rows with nesting. The dimensions are PROGRAMS and ACCOUNT.
I have attached the layout of the report.
We need to have a column for local member in between Col A and Col B, wherein we have to pull the long description of the program.
We have long description of programs maintained in a property of PROGRAM dimension
So if we can insert a column between Col A and Col B, we can have a local member in it with formula "EPMMemberProperty" refering to Col A
Currently we are are not able to insert a local member in between Col A and Col B in EPM 10 SP 14 version because its not a data range
I remember we used to do it in BPC 7.5 using expansion ranges to insert a blank column. So I believe similiar thing can be done in EPM 10
I have tried the option of VBA macro to insert a column before Col A and populate the long description and then hide Col A. It works. But I dont want to complicate it with Macro, and want to use EPM functionality to achieve the same.
Please advise if this is possible with BPC 10 to have a column for local member in between Col A and Col B.

Thanks a lot for replying. Since I had to insert the local member in between two dimensions, I couldnt use the position option in the local members. Because positions were staring from the data range.
How ever I have tried the suggestion given by Varaprasad and Bishwajith above and it worked.

i have a requirement where i need to make a set of regions alter based on which field we select....
i have a LOV input and based on that the input the respective region has to be displayed..
suppose i have 5 regions.....
if i give 1 then the 1st region has to displyed.....similarly 2nd and 3rd......

Hide and show region - save state after submit

hey guys,
I have a hide and show region template in my page. It is hidden by default(that's perfect). If the user opens the page and submit, the region collapse.
I want to save this status.
I searched a lot in this forum. Also found a lot about the *"sticky hide and show region"* feature by Carl, but you can't download this feature anymore :-/
How can I receive that, without this feature?
maybe with dynamic actions?

The status of the hidden item is always expanded...It doesn't change.
Maybe I always uses the wrong classes.

How to hide and show Omniportlet based on user privileges

I am trying to hide or show an Omniportlet based on user privileges, which means accessc control on portlet-level for Omniportlet. But I couldnt find out how to do it.
According to Portal Developer's Guide:
You can hide and show portlets built with Web Clipping and OmniPortlet on portal pages dynamically by using security managers. Although Web Clipping and OmniPortlet do not expose security managers through the user interface, you can apply them by editing their XML provider definition file.
Question is: where can I find that XML file? Is this file accessible and configurable somewhere through Portal Enterprise Mgr?

I don't think you can edit this file through Enterprise Manager. Atleast as far as I know. But its available on the server. I have a NT installation and I found it under:
D:\oracle\Mid_tier\j2ee\OC4J_Portal\applications\portalTools\omniPortlet\WEB-INF\providers\omniPortlet
You might want to restart the Portal application through OEM after you change this file.

This solution hides the text and creates the "trigger" <span> only if JavaScript is enabled in the browser. It should work in all browsers, including Internet Explorer 8 and earlier.

Dock "automatic hide and show" broken

Folks:
This morning I noticed the "automatic hide and show" of the Dock is broken. No matter how long I put the mouse pointer in the area of the Dock, it doesn't pop up.
There are only two ways I can access the dock now. One is to set the Dock size sufficiently big (about 40% or more seems enough) and it simply stays visible all the time. Another, if the Dock size is set lower than 40%, is to keep the Dock preference box open and manually toggle "Automatically hide and show the Dock" checkbox.
Hmmm, I see right now that the Dock is hidden, but the name of an application is displayed just above the bottom edge of the screen. This app is launched, but I've not used it at all this morning. Yep, show the Dock, the name is in the "right" place, but it should not be visible at all.
I tried re-starting the Finder. No difference.
I just updated to 10.4x recently, and applied the latest updates as they became available (Friday, I think), so it is hard to tell what to point a finger at...
OK, I'm going to restart and see if that helps... but shouldn't have to do this. Something got broken recently.

P.S. the OS pulldown doesn't show 10.4.8 so I can't use that to tell you I'm running 10.4.8.

I created a new button at the bottom of the region in a Hide and Show Region called [Next >]. The button is displayed to the right of the region.I only see it displayed to the right of the region in Firefox (Safari and IE8 showed it above the sub-regions). Not obvious to me why this is the case (it's usually IE that does it's own thing).

Your Hide/Show region template didn't have a <tt>#SUB_REGIONS#</tt> placeholder so by default the sub-regions were rendered after the <tt>#BODY#</tt> and the "Bottom of Region" button container (don't know if this is the intended behaviour or a bug). Adding <tt>#SUB_REGIONS#</tt> before <tt>#BODY#</tt> in the template gets things in the right order (button after sub-regions):

I'm assuming that this has something to do with everything in this theme being floated left (for reasons that escape me), so we'll try to clear the button container using CSS. The table doesn't have an ID or class so try an adjacent sibling selector using the ID of the preceding sub-region:

Seems to be working in IE8 (all I have access to at present).

Classic Report with Hide and Show Region Template does not show report

I created a "No Template" region on a page with a Classic Report. When I change it to a "Hide and Show" region template, the report does not show up when I click to Show the region...is there an additional step i'm missing to make the report show up. Its a very simple query.
