How to make a reference no. series

Hello guys!
I need some suggestions or ideas that you may provide with something that I need to do.
<b>SITUATION</b>
What I need to do is this: Create a reference no. series for all documents that I will post.
For example, I will post a doc. with SAP doc num of 1900000001, it will have a ref. no. of RC-0001. If I will post another doc. and for example the SAP doc. num is 1800000275, it will have a ref. no. of RC-0002.
But I do not want to edit standard program and tables, so what I will do is create a table named ZRCDOCS with fields REFNO and BELNR column (that is my ref. no. and SAP doc. no., respectively. I know I should put other data but this is the critical fields).
Then, create a program where I can enter the SAP doc. no. then when I execute, the program will automatically create a ref. no. by incrementing the last ref. no. created (if last no. is RC-0003, next no. is RC-0004).
<b>PROBLEM</b>
I have no problem with creating tables. My problem is the logic in creating the ref. no. series...
As much as possible, I want to give a specific question, but all I can think of asking is: How do I do this? Haha.
Thanks a lot guys! _

in your program read the last record updated to database table (ZRCDOCS) and then increment the no. for RC-XXXX
How to read the last record?
option 1. store updated date time in the table and read the latest record based on that
option 2 store a simple serial number (may be int4 type ) and read the max of that (select max)

  • [AS] How to make cross reference at insertion point

    Hi,
    I have a book ("indb") including several documents with several "anchors"
    (german translation: "Textanker") where cross references from different documents are linked to.
    What I already got is to reference all anchors and collect them in a list.
    Now I would like to make a new cross reference at the insertion point
    in a text frame of the active document - can't get it to run :-(
    Is anybody out there who can post a AS-sample doing this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Here is the reference to an already existing anchor:
    {hyperlink text destination id 44155 of document "kapitel 2.indd" of application "Adobe InDesign CS4"}
    The code I tried to make a new cross reference looks like this - but of course doesn't work:
    tell application "Adobe InDesign CS4"
    tell active document
    make new hyperlink with properties {name:"new hyperlink", destination:hyperlink text destination id 44155 of document "kapitel 2.indd"}
    end tell
    end tell

    Thanks a lot - got it now!
    Maybe it could be helpful for others to look at your answer
    with the placeholders replaced by "real" strings as it was hard for me
    to figure out the right form:
    tell document 1
    set theDest to make hyperlink text destination with properties {name:"Some name", destination text:<a reference to the relevant text>}
    this line for example looks like this =>
    set theDest to make hyperlink text destination with properties {name:"Some name", destination text:insertion point 902 of story id 44083 of document "kapitel 3.indd" of application "Adobe InDesign CS4"}
    set theSource to make cross reference source with properties {name:"Some name",source text:< reference to the relevant text>}
    this line for example looks like this =>
    set theSource to make cross reference source with properties {name:"Some name", source text:cursorPosition, applied format:cross reference format id 44305 of document "kapitel 1.indd" of application "Adobe InDesign CS4"}
    where "cursorPosition" was defined before by
    set cursorPosition to object reference of selection
    (the cross reference source needs the applied format reference too)
    make hyperlink with properties {source:theSource, destination:theDest, visible:true, highlight:invert, width:thick, border color:dark green, border style:dashed, name:"Whatever" }
    this line for example looks like this =>
    make hyperlink with properties {source:theSource, destination:hyperlink text destination id 44184 of document "kapitel 3.indd" of application "Adobe InDesign CS4", border color:black, highlight:none, border style:solid, hidden:false, visible:true, width:thin}
    end tell

  • How to make the Reference field in the in Accounting Tab a required field.

    Hi,
    Can i make the REference field in the Accounting tab required. I want to enter contract number from RE in that field.
    Thank you.
    Rachelle

    Hi,
    Goto t.code OVA2 select A-sales header and then click on procedures in the left--> select the procedure in which you want to incolude this field and new entries the table name is VBAK and field is XBLNR for the reference field in the accouting tab and accordingly assign the status 01 or 02 as per your requirement.
    Then you need to assign the incompletion procedure to the sales document type in VOV8.

  • How to make item references dynamic in my trigger [SOLVED]

    Hi. I have a Key-List-Item trigger on my form for a date item named bundle_exceptions.actual_dt. This trigger code is displaying a calendar when the user performs a key-list-item action on this date item. Throughout this code there are hardcoded references to my item in two different ways:
    1) :bundle_exceptions.actual_dt
    2) 'bundle_exceptions.actual_dt'
    Since I have multiple date items on my application I would like to know if I can make this code more dynamic. Since the cursor is sitting on the item at the time, I thought I could reference :system.current_block and :system.current_item. But I can't seem to get the syntax correct. And to complicate things, I'm even more confused as to how I could get these system variables to match the two difference ways the item is referenced in the code (see above).
    I would love some help or advice on solving this issue. I really don't like the idea of copying and pasting this code to every date item I have on my form. Thanks in advance.
    ========= CODE =============
    date_lov.get_date (nvl(:bundle_exceptions.actual_dt,sysdate),
    'bundle_exceptions.actual_dt',
    (get_item_property('bundle_exceptions.actual_dt',x_pos) - x_adjust),
    (get_item_property('bundle_exceptions.actual_dt',y_pos) - y_adjust),
    'Calendar',
    'OK',
    'Cancel',
    TRUE,
    FALSE,
    FALSE);

    Here's what I ended up with. I never could get the Name_In and Copy built-ins to compile because of syntax errors. I'm sure this was my own doing...but I just couldn't do it.
    Anyhow, this code is working for me know. Thanks so much for all the input.
    ========= CODE =========
    PROCEDURE Call_Calendar_Popup (for_this_item in varchar2) IS
         y_adjust number := 1.6; -- this is the height of the popup box
         x_adjust number := 1.8; -- this is the width of the popup box
    begin
    -- Depending on whether this proc is called from the item itself (say a key-list-item trigger) or
    -- from another item (say a when-button-pressed trigger) the cursor may first need to be moved to the
    -- item we want to populate from the calendar
    if upper(:system.current_block||'.'||:system.current_item) <> upper(for_this_item) then
         go_item(for_this_item);
    end if;
    -- if the items xpos (horizontal) is closer to the edge than the pop ups width push it over to the right.
    if get_item_property(:system.current_block||'.'||:system.current_item,x_pos) < x_adjust then
         x_adjust := to_number(get_item_property(:system.current_block||'.'||:system.current_item,x_pos));
    end if;
    -- if the items ypos (vertical) is closer to the edge than the pop ups height push it down.
    if get_item_property(:system.current_block||'.'||:system.current_item,y_pos) < y_adjust then
         y_adjust := to_number(get_item_property(:system.current_block||'.'||:system.current_item,y_pos));
    end if ;
    -- popup the calendar so the user can populate the date text-item
    date_lov.get_date (nvl(Name_In(':'||:system.current_block||'.'||:system.current_item),sysdate),
    'bundle_exceptions.actual_dt',
    (get_item_property(:system.current_block||'.'||:system.current_item,x_pos) - x_adjust),
    (get_item_property(:system.current_block||'.'||:system.current_item,y_pos) - y_adjust),
    'Calendar',
    'OK',
    'Cancel',
    TRUE,
    FALSE,
    FALSE);
    end;

  • How to make preceding reference mandatory

    Hi gurus,
    could you please help in the following question.
    It's necessary to make impossible creation of operation (for example Sales order) without reference to a preceding document (another Sales order).
    There are fields in Definition of Item Categories:
    Preceding Ref. Object
    Preceding Ref. Mandatory.
    F1 says that these fields control whether an item must be created with or can be created without a certain preceding reference item.
    Seems like that must help me. But unfortunately these settings change  nothing - it's still possible to create SO without any reference.
    Could you please advise something? May be there are any other settings or is it program bug?
    Thanks in advance, Sunny.

    Sussie
    The config to maintain the preceding reference mandatory can only be maintained on the item category.
    Maintain the following setting for all the item categories used in the Sales order:
    Preceding Ref. Mandatory = Check
    Preceding Ref. Object Type = BUS2000131 (e.g. for Sales item this should match the Object Type of the item category)
    With the above config the user might still be able to create the following sales order document but without any items.
    Points to consider:
    1. Follow-up Sales order (ZTA2) should have different transaction type and item categories
    2. No copy control should be maintained for original sales order (ZTA1) to itself. This means in config "Define Copying Control for Transaction Types" there should not be entry ZTA1 -> ZTA1. So that you cannot create a follow-up to sales order with the same order type.
    I hope this helps.

    I have exposed it as a Public part and have added it as a Used Dc in the EJB/J2EE DC project .
    At build time, i am able to access all the methods of the webdynpro application but at the run-time it's not identifying the Java classes.
    Note : There is no deplyment error.
    Is there any solution to this problem??
    Cheers

  • How to make external reference field as mandatory in customised ZDCR

    Hi guys,
    I am working in CHARM implementation and we have defined customised transaction type for change request(ZDCR), now my client wants the external reference field as mandatory, and we are using CRMD_ORDER for creating a customised change request. Now my point is the external refernce field should be mandatory only to ZDCR transaction type and it should not effect to another transaction types who are using through CRMD_ORDER transaction code.
    Kindly give ur inputs it is very urgent as the Go-live it very near.
    Thanks&Regards
    Sitaramaraju.P

    Hi!
    Try to modify the Dynpro of TC: CRMD_ORDER:
    Start Transaction SE80.
    Display program SAPLCRM_SERVICE_UI
    Go to 'Screens' and select screen 7153
    Go to the element list of screen 7153
    Then select 'Special attr. '.
    Activate the change mode.
    Mark field Name: CRMT_7010_SERVICE_UI-PO_NUMBER_SOLD / Typ: I/O as required entry field.
    Activate your changes and start Transaction CRMD_ORDER
    Due to this modification you will need a SSCR Key for this object (see http://service.sap.com/sscr).
    Hope this will help!
    Best regards / Gerhard

    No, indeed !
    But I forgot to specify that this file is placed in my jar that is included is my war.
    So, I'd like to make reference to this file, and not to put it somewhere in my AS.
    Thanks for your reply...

  • How to make references to other objects

    Hello, I have a project that I need to do and I am not sure how to start it. I need to have a class that has references to four other objects. I have the class, but am unsure how to do the references. would i use extends? like the class name extends the object name? thanks in advance.

    i marked it as correct because i thought it was funny that he said that. And to the person talking about driving and other stuff i am not like that when someone cuts me off i just laugh and turn the radio up, I do not cut anyone off and if i do on accident i wave my hand to say thanks. I am not that type of personYour massive overreaction here suggests otherwise.
    i just wanted help without having to read because i read those java things all the time and sometimes i dont understand what it is saying.So you expected someone here to read your mind and know what you read, what you didn't understand, and why you didn't understand it, and to then offer a different explanation? Yeah, that sounds way better than the usual approach of "I read such-and-such, and it said, 'X', but I don't understand what they mean by 'X'. Can you clarify it?" Your mind-reading approach cuts through that annoying communication BS. I like it.
    Im sure this is the simplest thing but for some reason i couldnt think what to do. Ive read posts on here were people ask easier things than that and they get help and not directed to a tutorial.I doubt you've seen enough threads here to have a statistically valid sample. Almost always, if the answer is in a tutorial, the OP will be directed there. There's no reason to repeat what's already been said.
    Not to mention the fact that your question makes no sense whatsoever.
    w/e im going to ask my teacher who helped make java, smarter than anyone here. Odd that you didn't ask him/her in the first place then. And where did you get hold of our IQ test results?

  • How do I make a reference to a library that I downloaded?

    The library I downloaded is not in a dll form. It has a file called source will all the necessary files in it. How do I make a reference to it so I can use it? I am using visual studio 2013 Help.

     Here is where I got the library from.
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/thresher/?source=typ_redirect
    What does where you got the library from have to do with anything? If you don't know how to add a reference to a .Dll in Visual Studio or access a non namespace .Dll then that's the real issue isn't it?
    With some .Dll's you require Pinvoke statements. I don't know if that's because they're not considered "com" visible or what. Other .Dll's you can browse to and add as references using reference manager. .Dll's are referred to as assemblies as
    are executable files.
    If you want to use some .Dll then you need to find out from the creator of the .Dll how to "reference" it in order to use it. .Net provides namespaces for many .Dlls. I suppose if a namespace doesn't exist for a .Dll in .Net Framework then you
    may have to use Pinvokes for that .Dll.

  • How to make fields editable in an custom enhancement

    Hi Experts,
    My requirement is to perform some custom validations against a field FKONT(BSEG) at the line item level of FB60 and display appropriate message and make the incorrect field editable.
    I have implemented an implicit enhancement point in include MF05AFGENJ.
    The error messages are coming but I am unable to make the GL account, cost center and profit center fields editable.

  • I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.

    Hello everybody. I am a web designer (NOT a developer)
    I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.
    I have used phpform.org/ to custom build a submission form. Then I opened that html in dreamweaver (so that I could edit colors, fonts, and delete the phpform.org advetisement)
    Now I need to link the 'submit button' so that it will e-mail me the completed form.
    (formphp.org wants me to subscribe to a servie that I pay for in order to have the form e-mailed to myself.)
    (after I get the submit button linked to an e-mail I will pull the html of my completed form into Muse- but I don't think that is really relevent)
    I'm sure one of you can help point me in the right direction! I can't write my own code so detailed help is appreciated!

    I'm afraid not.    It's not rocket science but you need to do some coding.
    You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder.  Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.
         <form action="path/form-to-email-script.php" >
    The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
    I'm  assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code.  Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names.  It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.

    Why are there so many more choices on the USA iTunes Store? Surely having an iTunes account should let you access all itunes availability the world over?
    Also how do you request films/tv series to the UK itunes? There's tv series I'd like but they're incomplete like The Batman &amp; Xena Warrior Princess. And films theta aren't available for download but you can purchase in a store like HMV?  Apple isn't doing itself any favours by secluding countries by their store. They'd make billions if you could just select the iTunes Store you want to search &amp; purchase from just by signing in! If anything what they're doing is putting themselves into a corner, other companies like Samsung &amp; HTC are already on too of them for innovation &amp; ease of use. The people they're attracting are predominantly existing Apple users not new customers. What do you guys think?

    It's not Apple's choice, they can only sell a particular item where the content provider/rights-holder has granted them a license to sell them. Content is licensed by the rights-holders to Apple on a country-by-country basis, each country therefore has to have its own store, and you have to be in a country to use its store - they want control over where their content is available.
    You can try requesting that an item be added to the UK store via this page, but unless the rights-holder agrees to then Apple won't be able to sell it here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html
