How to make a search result a link?

Ive got a search box on a web page which displays results beneath it (please see screenshot below) but id like to make the page a little more user friendly by making the URL result a link when it dispaly's in the results, so that guests only have to click on the link to direct them to that URL. Its something that will have to happen automatically when results are shown, maybe a server behavior?
Does anyone have any suggestions how to do this?

Also I thought I'd mention that your link needs the http:// at the begining to work, so you can either add it to the database url field or add it as below:

How to customize the search results window

hi,
in my search results page, i need to add a link/button for every document searched. on click of this link/ button i need to capture the document/file url and insert it into a splist.
is it possible to customize the search results window?
below is the snapshot: i need to add the link/button Add link to DB on each and every document retrieved by the crawler.

How to make dynamic search items in a report?

I have two questions.
1. How to make dynamic search (i.e without GO button) field above report to provide dynamic search by words in one field of report query?
2. How to make similar multiply dynamic search fields on report to provide individual search by selected fields of report with refine capability (i.e any search conditions in different fields must work together as complex WHERE clause)

hey yuri--
if i'm understanding your questions correctly, the easiest way to achieve the functionality you're after is to have your query criteria fields submit the page when values are entered/selected. the page should then branch back to itself using the submitted criteria in the query. because you're asking about dynamically adding in your where clause predicates, you should consider using a report region of type "SQL Query (Pl/sql Function Body Returning SQL Query)". that way you can use pl/sql to piece together your query based on the provided criteria.
so the part of your question i'm not sure of is when your page should submit itself ("without a GO button" as you said). for your first question, it seems to be a simple matter of javascript. you want users to be able to enter search criteria into a field and have that criteria be using in the report. to facilitate that we have a few self-submitting item types such as "SelectList with Submit" and "Text Field (always submits page when Enter pressed)". for your second question, it seems that you should have a Go button for the user to indicate he's done entering in his query criteria. anyhow, that's up to you, i suppose. hopefully this response will give you the concepts you need to implement this as you'd like.

ps-after re-reading your post, i now realize there's a chance that you wanted users to not have to submit the page at all when filtering their result sets. if that's the case, you'd have to use javascript for that cumbersome feat. google would be a good place to go for that code.

How to make site search module work?

I had insert a site search module but anyhow when i search for any query and click the Go button, it will go the searchresult page but nothing get displayed.
I do had placed a {module_searchresults} in the page content area of searchresult page.
How I populate by search result page?

Andy make sure you index (re-index)your site
Modules > Site Search > Re- Index button
If site is a sample site ( demo mode ) I am not sure if it will index with new changes to the way demo sites works. Give it a try it may be ok internally, but wont index with S E unless live site

How to make the attached SAP shortcut linked to the webgui ? (Instead of the SAP Gui )
When I received a "workflow msg" in my outlook inbox, I clicked on the attached shortcut.
And a logon pop-up comes to me, in order that I logon to SAP in the SAPGui mode.
It enables me to make a decision in SAP.
I'd like that when the user receive the shortcut ( or a link ), it opens the webgui mode ?
How can I do that ?

JDeveloper 10.1.3 does not have a popup but a dialog framework that opens a dialog in a separate browse window. As Chris pointed out, the developer guide contains a section about how to launch the dialog. To programmatically launch the dialog from a command link use its action listener property

How to make the search box in 'mail' bigger

HI all
I use the mail programme in Lion and use a Mcabook pro, There is a search box in the upper right hand corner so you can search through your mails, I have accidently made it smaller and am looking to make the box bigger so I can see the full names of the results.
I have looked in toolbars and in 'view' and cant fin anything, I have tried to clip and drag, but that does not work either, anyone have any ideas how to make it bigger again,

How To Eliminate Separate Search Results Window in iTunes 11

From my perspective (based upon how I use iTunes to create playlistsby searching for titles, listening, and selecting), the new format in iTunes 11 of showing search results in a separate window was totally unworkable. Fortunately, I found a CNET article that said how to revert to the old method. To disable the new format, and have search results show up in the body of your music library, all you need to do is this:
Click on the magnifying glass in the Search box in the uppper right corner of the iTunes screen
The first item in there is "Search Entire Library", and has a check mark next to it
Click on it to remove the check mark
That's it! Now your Search results will show up in the library itself, as it always has.
Until I found this quick fix, I was ready to trash the new iTunes and replace it

I found this article with the explanation on how to find this again. In the upper right corner of itunes (only when an item is downloading) you will see a downward facing arrow inside a gray circle with a blue status bar type line below it. If you click that it will show you your downloads progress.

This jsp uses the table generator.jsp which shows the data in the form of table. You have to make your own action class to do this after extending their class (provided by oracle) tcSearchUserAction.java and you can show data as per your client requirement.

How to chart database search results?

I'm new to Macs and Appleworks. I want to make a graph/chart of numbers that come from summary fields of a database search. Do I somehow link the database search results to a spreadsheet? Can I put the graph on a database report page? Thanks.

Maybe this will help.
You can create a bar chart this way.
You have some summary fields to be charted, call them sum1, sum2, etc.
Create another summary field for each that you have. The basic formula will be:
LEFT("||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||",SUM('sum1'))
This will give a number of line characters to match the sums. Position these fields to form a chart. You can modify the font and style, etc.
There're also some variations. If your totals are large, you could divide the final parameter by something:
LEFT("||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||",SUM('sum1')/2)
And even multiply by something if your totals are small.
This is using the standard line character. You could also use dingbats - the "n" will give a solid square: LEFT("nnnnnnnnnnn",SUM('sum1'))
Additionally, to fill gaps between characters, you can create two chart fields for each total and overlap them.
Now, these are summary fields and so need to be on the summary part of the layout, and you must be in Page View to see.
