How to make full use of Apple iCloud

As a MacOS X 10.7 (Lion) and iOS 5 user, I have free access to Apple's iCloud services.  I have used iCloud successfully in rural Georgia under Windstream DSL but I find no mention of iCloud in my search of the Verizon support forums.  As I plan to move to Florida and have arranged for Verizon FiOS Internet, I'd really like to get a better handle on whether and how Verizon supports iCloud.  I have 30 days to cancel the Verizon account and make other arrangements if necessary.  Thanks in advance for any information on this topic.
It appears that I will not be able to use Apple's authenticated SMTP server (smtp.me.com) and that I must instead use outgoing.verizon.net.  Is that correct or is there a way to use yje iCloud SMTP servers?

So are you saying that Verizon blocks port 25?  If so, I can use port 587 according to Apple's iCloud support document on this subject: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4002  I'll try that.
Short answer, yes.

  • Oops-how to make full use of it?

    Hi guys my question is,
I have used oops in abap mainly in alv, and for some other functions like downloading to an excel and stuff like that.
But how do I harness the real power of oops. How can i make my day to day coding better by using say global classes and already existing objects.
For example are there classes out there with methods to say calculate the accounts recievables? Get all the attributes of an inbound/outbound delivery. Get the details of a purchase order without me having to select from the PO headers and items and so forth. I have tried to study some standard code as well but I didnt get any hint from it.
Can anyone throw some light on it?
    Regards
    Sameer

As u said u have worked on OOPS in ABAP. U will be having the Basic concept of the OOABAP.
The Only way to enhance the Knowledge on OOABAP is to practice more and more examples.

Hi!  I just updated to Mountain Lion to make full use of iCloud and am attempting to turn on PhotoStream.  I have iPhoto '09, version 8.12, so I think I need to upgrade to iPhoto '11.  I'm reluctant to do this as I've read a ton of bad reviews written by people who have purchased the new version.  Any suggestions?  Is it worth it?

Obviously only you can decide what is "worth it".  Millions and millions and millions of people use and like iPhoto '11.  Some don't. If you want PhotoStream then you must upgrade to the minimum software levels

  • How to make a song as Apple loop?

    Hi there,
I'm working on 'dj mix' and liked to make couple of songs as apple loops.
Dont want to use 'Time and Pitch Machine' as I want to change tempo and see how they mix together...let's say starting mix from 130 and ending up to 138bpm.
I know how to make short files to Apple loops but as long as 6-8min tracks seem to have problem. Cannot select type "loop" in "Add Region to Apple Loops Library" for some reason?
Using PowerPC G5 and logic Pro 7.2.2
Is it possible use Logic Apple loops as Ableton 5 Live is using files?
So much easier to use a tool you have been using last 6 years...
    Thanks for your help!

i tried this also, but could not get it to work. i got an error message saying that the loop was too long to be an apple loop.
if you get it to work, please post how!

  • HT203658 How to sign in using the Apple ID that I initially used to set up the computer?

How to sign in using the Apple ID that I initially used to set up the computer? I cant update my iPhoto and download pictures from Iphone :((
I updated ios on my MacBook Air to Yosemite, since then I had to update also iPhoto, as it was not compatible with Yosemite. When trying to update it I received this alert "These apps cannot be accepted by your Apple ID. These have already been assigned to another Apple ID." And the solution wud be to sign in using my initial Apple ID, but Im not aware of having one or changing it. I have many Mac devices so I at one point sing in to my Air with another ID not even noticing it and have it since the moment I found out the alert. Can anyone help me with this, please? And also, where are my pictures stored in my Air? Is there some folder, cuz Im used to Windows and Mac is totally new and not really clear to me for now. I need to download pictures from my iPhone and iPhoto seems to be the only way??
    thanks

How to sign in using the Apple ID that I initially used to set up the computer? I cant update my iPhoto and download pictures from Iphone :((
Try to remember any AppleID you ever may have used.
In the AppStore Application go to the "Store" menu.
It will show you the AppleiD You are currently using (in the last menu entry "View my account ....".
Use the "Sign out" command and sign in with any AppleID you ever used, ten check the "Purchases" tab of the App Store, if that will show the bundled apps.
And also, where are my pictures stored in my Air?
If you have used iPhoto to download your pictures, the photos will be stored in the iPhoto Library, a package, that is stored in the folder "Pictures" in your Home folder.
Terence Devlin has written some very useful user tips, that describe the iPhoto Library:  See the links below:

  • How can i see how many people are using my apple id without changing the password ?

how can i see how many people are using my apple id without changing because some people have it

I'm not sure that you can. Why have so many people got your password? So many in fact, that you don't know how many.
You can see how many computers are authorised to play any songs you have purchased from the iTunes Store, but that isn't quite the same thing.
Perhaps a better idea would be to change the password and not let anyone else know what it is. That would at least prevent anyone else from changing it and locking you out of your own account.

how to make full screen on safari

One way is to download and install Saft - MacUpdate or CNET Downloads.
Or you can click on the green expland gadget in the top right of Safari's titlebar.  However, this will not expand Safari to a true full-screen view as will Saft.

We are a school district  (Township High School District 211) at d211.org.
We have one domain with 7 subdomains. Will we be able to use one account? We are thinking of the Plus account, but we are on a tight budget, being a school district in Illinois. We have a district site and each school has a subdomain (i.e. Fremd High school has fhs.d211.org.).

  • How do I log use two apple ID's on the same I mac with two user accounts

I cant seem to find a thread to answer this question.
I have have one I mac, both my wife and I have a user account each, we both have our own apple ID's is there away they can be used at the same time?
As so far I can't find a way of doing this. It seems one user account can only use its apple ID for a period of 90days, If I need to use the other apple ID I have to wait.. as I get this messsage
"You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 61 days. "
Is there a way around this?

Oh...How about one APPLE account, but two different users on the computer- one being administrator, and allow admin privileges if you want, or one be admin, the other a user.
Or- what you can do, is have the second apple account, but only log in to it without involving the computer.
Or break down and get a second computer. On hers, you be guest user and on yours she be guest- then if one breaks, you can still each use in turn.
Or alternately, go to applestore or contact apple to ask...
