How to make Successfull login using j_security_check

hi all,
can anybody tell me the steps that how we can displayed next authenticated page after successful login page while using j_security_check or give me any link from where i can get the stuff which help me.
I will be happy if ur steps include loginFilter, web.xml, struts-config.xml.

The way j_security_check works is that you request a page. Any page.
If that page has security on it, the container will display the login screen.
If you login correctly, it will then proceed to the page you originally requested.
You never actually reference the login page directly. The container is responsible for invoking it when needed, and then forwarding you to your originally requested page on successful login.

Login using j_security_check and redirect to a jspx.

I have a login.html file and created a form with two input fields for username and password. When I submit the form using a button, it posts 'j_security_check'.
After successfull login it takes me to welcome page defined in web.xml. I have specified index.html file as welcome page and added a redirect on index.html to get redirected to adf faces page.

Its workig fine but now we want to have two dashboards and user should get redirected to one of them depending on his role. For example if user has 'HR' role he should be redirected to HRDashBoard and if he has manager role he should be redirected to ManagerDashboard.jspx.
I tried using bean call from html but I think its not possible. How to do it?

Our usecase is slightly different.
We have login.html and not login.jspx, which we can put on adfc-config.xml file. login.html is provided by some other team so we can not create our own jspx.
I have put router thing in adfc-config.xml but problem is 'How to call router activity from index.html' file. In index.html I can point url to any view-activity of adfc-config but I can't point it to a router activity of adfc-config.
Now the problem is 'From index.html, redirect in such a way so that unbounded flow adfc-config.xml starts from a router activity.'

i have problem with getting IUser object from set of principals. In javadoc is written: "In order to get an IUser object from this subject, call Subject.getPrincipals() and iterate through the returned Set of principals." so i tried to iterate but i was not able to get that IUser with any casting. Do u know how it should be?

How to make a driver using DLL in LabVIEW?

I had followed the "Using Exteranal Code in LabVIEW" manual having finished the making dll file, and the lsb file(I attempted that two ways). But when I load the code in LabVIEW, it can't work. I don't know what had happened, I only got a error message like this:"'0x100014f1'commond call memory'0x00000000',this memory can't be written" or other similar error message, if I push the "enter" button, the vi application which I having lunched will crash. If I push the "cancel" button, the debug model will start,and the next message is "Unhandle exception in LabVIEW.exe(MSVCRTD.DLL/LVS95.TMP/COUNTER.DLL(the last one is creat by myself)):0xC0000005:Access Violation", but I wonder what had cause this? My DLL had been made successf

1. Can you call this DLL from within VC?
2. What operation system do you use? There may be a problem with calling of win95 dll under NT or win2000 for example.
3. If you use NT you may not have permissions to work with some ports and memory areas.
4. Under NT or win200 try to compile the library as a 32-bit dll, and under win95 - as 16-bit one.

How to make an index use in a query execution

I have the below query for which ename column has an index. As of my knowledge below queries 1st and 2st will not use index. Hence i used the 3rd statement and that too its not using the index. Finally i used the 4th query, but even the 4th query is not using the index. Then how do i make this query to use my index??? Do i need to create a function based index for this??? Is that the final option????

Sorry 007, I really thought you were posting a trick question as on the OCP tests.
Anyway, as Justin mentioned, if you have an index on ename, it may be used when doing a comparison predicate statement with the ename value.
What it depends on are several other things: stats, how many rows in the table, use of an index hint, etc.
Rather than questioning the group on this, why not just turn on autotrace and run the query for the different scenarios.
The output will show you if it used the index, number of rows returned, blocks read, etc.

SQL> commit;

But my questions are:
1) In a where clause, if "<>" condition is used, then, whether the system will use the index. Because I have observed in several situations even though the column in where clause is indexed, since the where condition is "like" or "is null/is not null"
then the index is not used. Same as like this, i assumed, if we use <> then indexes will not be used. Is it true?
2) Now, after adding "o_id" and "o_no" columns to the index, the Execution plan is:

Hello all, i am developing an web application have login and logout component. I want to check whenever end user try to open admin/index.xhtml, it will be redirected to login.xhtml. And when end user click on log out button, i will be destroy session and redirect end user to login.xhtml. But i am not sure about session in JSF 2.0. I am using netbean 6.9.1 to develop. I looked up it but it seem not work with me. Almost example which i found is run on Glass Fish. But I am running on TomCat server of Netbeans 6.9.1. Can someone give me another suggestion ?
