How to make transperent widget.

Hi all,
I am new to this xlet things and it has been long time since I worked on java. so, this might have a simple solution which I am overlooking.
I have HStaticIcon in the background and trying to put HStaticText on the top. I want to make static text background transperent so, All I want see is text and background image.
Is there any way I can do it?

Text elements have a method that allows you to choose how you want to draw the background. You get what you need with the .setBackgroundMode() method. More exactly with something like
HStaticText example = new HStaticText(the constructor you need);
example.setBackgroundMode(HStaticText.NO_BACKGROUND_FILL);Try to get a good color combination or text size so you can still read the text after this change.

The easiest way woud be a gallery, second keynote. But in the thumbnails only show up with the gallery widget at top or bottom.
If you want nearly the same as in the "Gorongosa landscapes" do it in html.

Hi Parry,
The dynamic programming way is follows:
you need to first get a reference to the root element 'ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER' from the view reference available within the wddomodifyview method. the variable returned is of type cl_w_uielement_container. you can use the method get_root_element( ) of the interface if_wd_view for this purpose.
next get a reference to the transparent container by using the method get_child of the class cl_wd_uielement_container( using the variable returned from the prevoius call) and cast it to a variable of the class cl_wd_transparent_container. to this method you need to pass the id of your transparent container.
Once you have the reference you can use the method set_visible( ) to make the container visible or invisible at runtime.
However you need to be careful about the placement of this code within the wddomodifyview method because it would get executed every time. Thus the best way is to store the reference to view in a component controller the first time and later on use this attribute anywhere within your component.

I have a Form with a image on the background.
the radio group button has a label. This label is not transparent. So, i have to choose a white background. But that is not nice.
When I fill the Prompt property, I get a prompt which is transperent.
How can make the background of the label transparent?

I don't know of any way to change the label to be transparent, but you can use the prompt as a label. Just delete the label and set the prompt attachment edge to End with the desired offset. You may also need to change the width of the radio button. Then what appears to be a label (but is actually a prompt) is transparent.

Adobe decided to discontinue development of Spry in August last year, and Dreamweaver CC made the switch to using jQuery UI widgets and effects. How to make screenshot/jpg/pdf of ENTIRE long Safari window (not just visible part)?

I want to get a "screenshot" (i.e. an image in any format -- PNG, JPG, PDF, whatever) of a looooooooong Safari window diplaying a Web page that entends far below the bottom of the visible screen area and has to be scrolled down to see all of it.
I know about the standard screenshot keyboard tricks in 10.6 -- Command-shift-4, Command-shift-4 then spacebar/click, Command-shift-3, etc. But not any of them allow the user to get a screen shot of the entirety of a long/deep window -- they only capture what is visible on the screen.
Also, another trick people often mention is to "print" (command-P) the Safari page, but instead of sending it to a printer choose "Save as PDF." Brilliant -- except that for some reason I've never been able to "print" a Safari page -- as soon as I hit the command-P keystrokes in Safari, I immediately get a spinning beachball that will only go a way with a force-quit of Safari. This has always been true on this computer (MacBook Pro) -- not sure if it's a common bug or if it's just an eccentricity of my particular machine. Either way, that option is off the table because "printing" is impossible with my Safari.
I also searched around for various third-party freeware applications, and despite a lot of grandiose promises, none of them actually was able to capture an entire window including portions not currently visible on the screen.
I did find a commercial application called SnapWeb that does have the capability to do exactly what I want -- but it doesn't produce usable images in demo mode and requires $$$ to unlock and work properly, something I'm currently unwilling to pay for a simple one-use gimmick that simply must be part of the OS already.
So my question is:
Is there any native way within the 10.6 OS that allows users to capture an entire long Safari window as an image file (not as a Web Archive, but as an image file composed of pixels), which includes the entirety of a Web page no matter how "long" it is, even if it extends far below the visible screen footprint?
And if there is no native way in 10.6, if there a freeware/shareware application/widget/plugin/whatever which does the same thing?
I already know about a commercial software that does it (SnapWeb), so I don't need more recommendations for paid apps. And I know that I can laboriously construct a JPEG by hand with Photoshop by taking a screenshot of the visible window, scrolling down a little, taking another screenshot, etc. etc., and then
"stitching" them together. Yeah, it's possible (and in fact is what I've done in the past), but it's a time-consuming hassle that shouldn't be necessary.
Help! I've wondered about how to do this for years, and have never yet found a satisfactory answer.

After fiddling with Paparazzi! for another 40 minutes, I finally deciphered (through trial-and-error) how to maneuver through its awkward user-interface to an extent that I was finally able to make it "work" -- at least work sufficiently for my purposes. And lo and behold, it does indeed have the capacity to capture a screenshot of an entire long Web page, including the portion not visible on the screen. In fact my first attempt was to experiment with this very page of our thread on Apple "Discussions" about how to solve this problem -- and I got Paparazzi! to save it as a jpeg!! The whole thread, top to bottom, exactly as on the screen, not re-formatted for printing. The final file size was 985 pixels wide by 4,204 pixels long (1.2mb).
I have since experimented with a couple other pages and had success with them as well.
HOWEVER, I can't guarantee that Paparazzi! will work with every page on the Web, because I think one of the problems when I first attempted to use it was that the page I was trying to get a screenshot of contained a lot of Flash elements and other data-heavy widgets, and I think those messed up Paparazzi!'s memory or overwhelmed it or something. But perhaps such huge and problematic pages are rare enough to not be much of an issue using Paparazzi! under normal circumstances.
So, I'll consider this problem "solved," and give user "jsd2" a "This helped me" star, since even though I already had Paparazzi! he encouraged me to revisit it.
And for the record to help those who might stumble on this thread in the future seeking a solution to the same problem:

If you want it to execute inside a web browser then you need to convert it to an applet. Alternatively you can investigate Java Web Start.

CS4|5 Exporter - how to make slider with no checkbox?

I can't work out how to make a slider with no checkbox next to it.
Also it is possible to make two fields next to each other?

The slider + checkbox behavior was a problem with the first version of the exporter API in CS4, but in CS5 it has been fixed. The problem was in how the exporter host layer interpreted the parameters specified via the Export Param Suite. So when making presets for your exporter, it would make sense to use CS5, since CS4 has the problematic behavior. I haven't tried this, but bringing those presets from CS5 back to CS4 may solve the problem in CS4.
So far we haven't had any need or request for two editable fields side-by-side.

Flash movie itself is "transparent" uless an explicit
background shape
is used. It is another question how to make Flash Player box

transparent. Web browsers support so called windowless mode,
but Flash
Projector (SAFlashPlayer.exe) - does not.
Personally I use my own projector, written in Delphi, which
uses
special third-party component, supporting windowless mode.
There are
other tools, supporting it. Try to search Google for

How to make embedded HTML form look normal?

In Muse, if I Insert HTML code with:

…the form is displayed in my Muse page. However, it doesn't look normal, meaning:
- The text fields have no border and appear to be invisible until you start typing in them.
- The Submit button size is minimal, wrapping tightly around the text, and there is no border or bevel.
* I have experimented with specifying an HTML border and width in the above code, with no change in results.
Basically, this HTML code looks normal in a regular .html page. However, in a Muse page (with Insert HTML), the visual appearance of the form elements looks abnormal… stripped-down.
Can anyone suggest a way to add HTML form content and make it look correct? I don't want to use the Muse Form Widgets, because they all "require" the email field, and I don't want that capability. Thanks for any suggestions.

I answered my own problem.
It seems that the solution is having knowledge of CSS, which I don't. That's what Muse is supposed to provide, and I'm not a CSS expert.
At http://www.ronpershing.com/blog/how-to-make-a-custom-contact-form-in-adobe-muse/ , Ron Pershing gives some very simple code on making it all work with Muse. I'm not affiliated with him or his website, but since he was kind enough to publish a solution, his work should get some attention.

How to make a simple C program universal from the command line???

I've developed widgets that use a simple C program. I had no clue how to make it universal. Apple documentation is all about big projects to be developed inside Xcode and so on, but I don't understand even the introductory remarks...
As far as I've read, I have to make a binary for PPC and a binary for i386, and then merge it with lipo. Fine. I get my PPC binary from:
gcc-4.0 prog.c -o prog_ppc -lm -arch ppc -arch ppc64
Now, it seems that I have to use:
gcc-4.0 prog.c -o prog_i386 -lm -arch i386
The latter command didn't work until I added -L/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk/usr/lib/ at the end. With this, it creates a binary file, but with the following message:
/usr/bin/ld: warning fat file: /usr/lib/system/libmathCommon.A.dylib does not contain an architecture that matches the specified -arch flag: i386 (file ignored)
and I guess this is quite an issue if I don't have the common math functions, no?...
Can somebody help me? I googled a lot on this, and found nothing helpful.
