How to manage a Database Application with more than two tables

Hello All,
I need to manage (reconciliation and provisioning) a database application where user attributes are strored in seven tables.
Reference guide for Database Applications Table connector says that only two tables can be managed using this connector.
Which is the best way to solve this problem? Could I create a view in my database ? are database views supported? Must I create a new conector?

Hi ,
I developed it from scratch due to complex requirements for accessing tables and their relationship. You can use current connector for your reference.at higher level you need to do only two change (1) build query from xml files to add,update,delete* record across seven tables - (2) changing oim elememnt ( use connector guide for changing element to match your needs)
To develop new connector :
(1) study relationship between these tables (1:*) and fields of interest and also ,as earlier mentioned timestamps for fetching changed record. based on your requirement.
(2) create OIM elements , something you have when you deployed DB app. connector. modify it for requirement. i.e fields .. trusted , non trusted. process task,adapter
(3) Develop classes to get execute query on database. create adapters to perform add/update/delete operation on 7 tables.

Left Outer Join with more than two tables in both CR 8.5 and XIR2

I am trying to create a report and I have tried two versions of Crystal but I ultimately need the report in CR8.5 for compatibility with the client's system. I think I am starting to figure out what might be wrong and it might be my understanding of SQL, but I can't see why someone hasn't needed this in the past. Ultimately I want to see all projects and any journal entry that might be posted for that project.
Database is MySQL 5.0.38 and using MySQL ODBC driver 3.51.19.
Project header table information will be populated. Each line item on a journal entry can be tagged with the project ID. But for me to pull the journal entry date I need also to link to a third table for the journal entry header info.
I want to see all projects, whether a journal entry has been posted or not.
So the links are like this
ProjectHeader --->Left Outer Join ---> JELines ---> Inner Join ---> JEHeader
I think in this scenerio Crystal is treating the LOJ as an IJ.
I created two brand new reports today, one in CR8.5 and one in CR XIR2. Once I edited the automatic CR8.5 SQL statement (which I have been doing for years, usually without problem), they both ran properly. I linked customers to their invoices. Customers without invoices showed properly. But then I linked the invoices to the payments of the invoices and immediately lost customers without orders in both reports.
So apparently only two tables are allowed in Outer Joins. Does this make sense? I checked out the w3schools tutorial on SQL and it doesn't mention this limitation and I can't find anywhere else that it specifically indicates this but all samples of code I have seen only show two tables. I just thought for presentation as a sample that was easiest to understand and we could expand as necessary.
If this is correct, how does one go about accounting for this kind of thing? One solution that goes through my mind is creating a view at the database level for the link between journal entry lines and journal entry headers. Would this be a good solution under normal circumstances?
A second option that I had to implement because of timelines, is to use a subreport linked to the main report through the project ID to pull the information for the journal entries and just pass the totals I need to the main report through a shared variable.
These aren't normal circumstances because I don't have access to the database so I can't create the view. I have come across this concept several times and I have been able to use subreports to solve it but I am trying to find a better solution for the future as sometimes subreports can be slow. So are there any alternatives I have not considered here?

So after some more work and another post. I was able to get this to work.
Items disappear when linking to another table
My issues were two fold. I was selecting on the tables on the right-side of the original Inner Join. However, I was checking for Nulls. This apparently is correct but you must check for the Nulls first eg. (IsNull (JEHeader.Field1) OR JEHeader.Field1 <= 100). I had my original statement reversed checking for <= 100 before checking for Nulls.
I also did not set all links to be Left Outer Join. I had the Inner Join. I actually have about 6 tables in this report so all the links need to be set Outer Join. So this now seems to be corrected.

I have my library cloned to a small 1Tb USB drive which I can take between home & work. At either location I use SyncToy 2.1 to update the local copy with the external drive. Mac users should be able to find similar tools. I can open either of the local libraries or the one on the external drive and update the media content of my iPhone. The slight exception is Photos which normally connects to a specific folder on a specific machine, although that can easily be remapped to the current library if you create a "Photos" folder inside the iTunes Media folder so that syncing the iTunes folders keeps this up to date as well. I periodically sweep my library for new files & orphans with iTunes Folder Watch just in case I make changes at one location but then overwrite the library with a newer copy from the other. Again Mac users should be able to find similar tools.
As long as your media is organised within an iTunes Music or Tunes Media folder, in turn held inside the main iTunes folder that has your library files (whether or not you let iTunes keep the media folder organised) each library can access items at the same relative path from the library folder so the library can be at different drives/paths on different machines. This solution ensures I always have adequate backups of my library and I can update my devices whenever I can connect to the same build of iTunes.
When working with an iPhone earlier builds of iTunes would remove any file not physically present in the local library, even if there was an entry for it, making manual management practically redundant on the iPhone. This behaviour has been changed but it will still only permit manual management with a library that has the correct internal ID. If you don't want to sync your library between machines on a regular basis just copy the iTunes Library.itl file from the current "home" machine to any other you want to use, then clean out the library entries and import the local content you have on that box.

How to specify more than Two Tables in NATURAL JOIN

I am using Oracle9i R-2. I want help in writing a Query using Two Tables in SQL*PLUS. I am using ANSI/ISO Standrard for table-joins:
select col1, col2, descr
from tab1 natural join tab2
There are two columns col1 & col2 is common between thse two tables. So, it will join them and query execute well.
How can i use 3rd table tab3 in the same way in Natural Join...? If column col1 & col2 is available in tab3 also.
I tried this way, but it gives me error:
select col1, col2
from tab1 natural join tab2 natural join tab3
Is it possible to specify more than two tables in Natural Join Clause.

I do not get an error when I try the same thing on the same version, as demonstrated below. Can you post your table structure and a copy and paste of a run of your actual query with the error that you are receiving?

How to generate a certificate request with more than one OU?

We're using Sun Java System Web Server 6.1 SP4. The Corp. has it's own CA and organize their certificates in a hierarchical rule with more then one organization unit (OU) in a chain.
So what we need is generate a certificate requeste with more than one OU, but the Web Server wizard has only one text field for it. We've already tried to fill in this field the complete chain of OUs like "ou=orgX, ou=deptY, ou=secZ" and didn't work either.

In our project we are converting the Unix shell & SQL scripts into OWB mappings. We are facing problem converting left outer join in OWB. here is one of the example. i have just pasted the FROM and where condition.

We converts the same when we are putting it in OWB join Operator
INGRP1.branch_no = INGRP2.branch_no(+)
AND INGRP1.item_no = INGRP2.item_no(+)
AND INGRP3.to_date between t2.tran_dt and t2.to_dt
AND INGRP2.to_dt >= INGRP2.start_images
But as you see in the OWB opreator we can put left join with INGRP1 with INGRP2.
We can not make same join with INGRP3 & INGRP4 , becoz it failed saying "you cannot left outer join on more than one table/source".
so overall this OWB code makes incomplete left outer join as per the above ANSI SQL join in Oracle.
Bcoz of the problem we are getting less number of rows...........
SO please please help me on this

Hi.
I know this topic is here for a while now, but I had the same problem today, searched for help and didn´t find anything.
Later I figured out how to do this.
You just have to put the (+) one time, and the OWB converts in an LEFT OUTER JOIN statement.
For this case, all you have to do is:
( INGRP1.branch_no = INGRP2.branch_no(+) AND INGRP1.item_no = INGRP2.item_no AND INGRP2.to_dt >= INGRP2.start_images )

Finding Words with more than Two Vowels (Regex)

Hello all, I've been working on this for quite some time now. I need to use a regular expression to find words that contain more than two vowels. I am getting stuck.
Here is what I have so far. I am using emacs to find them in a text file.
I use C-M-s and the expression /<[^aeiou]*[aeiou][^aeiou]/>
It finds words with one vowel, but I need to find if it has more than two, and I'm not sure how to go about doing that.
Any help is appreciated!

I tested it with grep on a file with one word per line. Seems to work in that context. More than one word per line and it breaks. I know nothing of emacs or your data, so I have no idea if it will suffice.
I'd also suggest you go back over your expression and put into words exactly what you think it is doing. I'm no regex expert, but it doesn't seem at all fit for what you're trying to do.

Intercompany transactions with more than two company codes

Hi fellow members,
We have a requirement for intercompany transactions with more than 2 company codes. The sales order is booked in company code A and goods are despatched from plant that belongs to company code B. However, we need the inter-company invoice to be posted between company code B and an intermediary company code C. The second inter-company invoice is to be posted between company code C and company code A.
There could be more than one intermediary involved based on the company code in which the sales order is booked and the company code of the delivering plant. Would appreciate inputs from the forum of how this could be achieved in ECC.

Not enough memory on startup disk to run applications with more than 200Gb free!!

I have a MacBook Pro final 2011 with 8 GB RAM and 500 GB disk with Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.5 and I'm using only 56% of my disk (over 276.5 GB). Nevertheless after some time my MAC starts to became slower until it opens a window with the message 'not enough memory on startup disk to run applications' and asking me to choose an application to stop! How can it be that 'not enough memory on startup disk' (espaço insuficiente no disco de inicialização) if I have more than 200 Gb free? Is there anything that can be done to solve that?
