How to map ALL .jsp to a Main servlet ?

the problem is that i want to submit all forms on web pages to be processed by servler but to see in adress bar of my browser url with .jsp
i tried to map main sertvlet in such a way
<url-mapping>/*.jsp</url-mapping>
but it didn't work...
is there a way to invoke servlet but to see *. jsp as an url ?
in other word, is it possible by calling index.jsp invoke some servlet behind the scene ?
if i could map *.jsp this could be done automatically.....

In theory you can use:<url-mapping>/*.jsp</url-mapping>However most web servers already intercept that mapping and it may bypass your mapping.
For example in Tomcat there is a web descriptor in the <TOMCAT_HOME>/conf directory that maps all jsp extensions to org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.
If you want to work with jsps on this level, try using filters intead, they may not be affected by the JspServlet as they have to pass through the filter first.

How to map every request url to one servlet

HI experts,
I have a requirement like below,
i want to map every request to a uinque servlet.
http://localhost/krish/images/kk,gif
http://localhost/krish/images/rao,gif
http://localhost/krish/images/hh,jpg
http://localhost/krish/images/srn.txt
http://localhost/krish/images/hel.wav
etc.............the no requests unlimited.
So if i write mapping in web.xml its hard to write hundreds of urls.
so i need some other process to map all these urls to one servlet ( processrequest.java)
which will process all those requests.
How do i do it?

use url-pattern as /images/* then it will call the same servlet for all URL like you mentioned

Okay, the DDL method is not going to work. Let me go back to my original question:
I use this command to view the source of a procedure, but I still cannot select source from a remote server across a dblink. How do I specify the remote schema with the user_source?

How to call a jsp file from an servlet and access the jsp file objects??

Hi everybody
I have an jsp file where it contains a vector object with some data and I have a servlet that needs to access this vector object . How can my servlet call for this jsp page and get the vector object. ?
then an applet will be calling this servlet to get some other object created with the data contained within this vector object...so each time Applet ask the servlet for the object the servlet need to call for this jsp page somehow
My main question is the communication servlet-jsp
please if u have any clue I will appreciate it

Hi
There are several ways to share objects between JSPs/Servlets.
You can share objects by putting them in the request-in which case the objects lifetime is limited by that of the request, Another way is to store them in the session, againg the lifetime is limited by the lifetime of the session. To have objects that have to persistent over the application life-span use the servletContext to store the objects.
Any good tutorial should help you get started. Please see the link below for a tutorial on Servlets/JSPs
Note: Local variables in the JSP cannot be shared with other components as their scope is limited to that particular Page/Servlet.

How to redirect all Tomcat request to a servlet

How can I set up Tomcat to redirect all request to a certain sevlets which sends the user to the right web-application.
What ever the user type in the URL, i.e.:
http://customer01.myDomain.dk
or
http://customer02.myDomain.dk
or
http://customer01.myDomain.dk/myApp/login.jsp
- I want tomcat to redirect to a servlet class. Is that possible?

Yes but pretend each customer has more than one web-application. Then it is not possible for the customer to use only this URL:
http://customer01.myDomain.dk
Each customer need a seperate url for each application, something like this:
http://customer01.myDomain.dk/myApp01/login.jsp
http://customer01.myDomain.dk/myApp02/login.jsp
( easy URL�s they can remember )
And I don�t think it is possible to make an alias to the exact URL to the web application. That�s why I need Tomcat to redirect all request to i.e. Index.jsp which then redirect to the correct application.
Here is an example:
Customer01 type in:
http://customer01.myDomain.dk/myApp01/login.jsp
Tomcat calls Index.jsp which redirect to this URL:
http://www.myDomain.dk/myApp01_ID0921/login.jsp

If the version of your PI system is less than 7.1, then you need to go for Java mapping to achieve this requirement.

How to map lookup main table field in another main table using MDM 7.1?

We created a new SAP MDM 7.1 repository with multiple main tables. The first main table is called ProductMaster table which contains Products information. The ProductCode is the primary key and the only display field for the table during data loading process. The second main table is ProductByRegion table which has a main table lookup field ProductCode and a RegionId field. These two fields (ProductCode and RegionId) combine as the PK for this main table. Both main tables have key mapping enabled.
I was able to load ProductMaster table using Import Manager. But Iu2019m having trouble to load data into ProductByRegion table using MDM Import Manager. Although I have met all the 5 requirements below (excerpted from MDM Import Manager Reference Guide P.222), the ProductCode wonu2019t show up on the destination value pane. If I mapped all productCode to NULL field, ProductCode wonu2019t load. If I u2018Addu2019 all ProductCode to Destination Value pane, the Import Manager added duplicated rows to Product Master table while only loading 1 record to ProductByRegion table. I canu2019t get ProductCode show up in Matching Destination Field list. When I checked ProductMaster records in MDM Data Manager, I right-clicked on one of records, chose Edit Key Mappings, it didnu2019t show anything. However, if I right-clicked on one of those duplicated rows, Edit Key Mapping shows remote system and key correctly.
Where did I do wrong? How can I fix the problem?

Import Manager handles main table lookup fields (Lookup [Main])
differently than other MDM lookup fields. Specifically, Import Manager
does not display the complete set of display field values of the records
of the underlying lookup table. Instead, the values it displays for a main
table lookup field are limited by both the key mappings for the lookup
table and the values in the source file.
Also, Import Manager does not automatically display the values of a
Lookup [Main] destination field in the Destination Values grid when you
select the field in the Destination Fields grid. Instead, for a main table
lookup field value to appear in the Destination Values grid, all of the
following conditions must be met:
u2022 The lookup table must have key mapping enabled
u2022 The lookup field must be mapped to a source field
u2022 The source field must contain key values for the lookup table
u2022 The destination value must have a key on the current remote system

Thank you very much for your response. I'm new to SAP MDM, I need some clarification and help regarding your solution.
I did use two maps to load ProductMaster and ProductByRegion separately. Here were my steps:
1. create main table ProductMaster with key mapping enabled at the table level and set ProductCode as unique and writable once (primary key).
2. create a map to load ProductMaster record from a staging table located an oracle database. But Key mapping didn't show anything when I looked at them using Data Manager.
3. create main table ProductByRegion with a lookup field looking at ProductMaster table. This field and RegionId combines as a unique field for ProductByRegion table.
4. create a map to load ProductByRegion table. But ProductCode records only shows on the source pane not destination pane and can't be mapped properly.
My questions:
1. How can I "Ensure that you add key mapping info for all ProductMaster records" besides enabling Key Mapping on the table level?
2. How can I define a concatenation of ProductCode and RegionId as a REMOTE KEY"?

I use ActiveX from Crystal Report Developer XI for viewer in Visual FoxPro 9 and I already know how to show Main Report by using command:

Your right, there is only one tab to view the report.
To open the subreports you will need to click on them in the main report. I don't know of a way to open them programmatically like you are doing here

It shouldn't by default and without the users specific say do this dangerous and unnecessary thing without even letting the user know what it's doing!!! And then cause me a few hours (as i'm new to mac) searching for the option so as to switch it off. If i hadn't noticed the status cage declaring that it was copying files then i might never have twigged that this insane thing was occurring. And if i hadn't of noticed i would have been left maintaining the contents of the folder i copied the files to, the folder which as far as i was informed and so believed was also the location of the music files i was playing. How does Apple justify this 'genius' piece of software non-design? Surely it will hurt no one if this was off by default for new users - overall at least i dare say it would cause a lot less distress in the future for the unsuspecting public at large. How to map secondry elements with main if have same ids for both?

I need to map secondry elements with its matching primary elements if they both have same id.
How can this be achieved in xslt.
If ids are not matching then not a single element of secondry sholud be shown.
If ids matching, then other fields of secondry elements, should be mapped to similar fields of primary elements.
Eg: Its like some program running and in between some add on programs started (may be trailor or advertisement).
the add on program is not always shown (optional), and whenever shown it has its own data information etc etc.
Please provide me some input, how to map and proceed.

You can use XPATH command to get the exact tag.
You can access each tag with it location like “/Report_Name/Group_Tag/Element_ID”.
I think this will remove the ambiguity of Tags with same ID.

How to set up displaying all jsp-errors in the problems-list?

how can i set up that all jsp-problems and warnings like "some tag does not have an end tag..." are displayed in the problem list?
when i open up a jsp-page in the editor, the warnings are displayed i canÂ´t see them in the problem list. in the older version (m7) these warnings have been displayed by default and i can not find any setting to display this.
any idea?

When exactly it stopped displaying in Problems View? Have you installed any other plug-ins to Eclipse?
Try the following steps:
- Quit & relaunch Workshop
- In Problems View, Launch Filters... window
- Click "Restore Defaults" button (make sure JSP problem is checked)
- Click OK
- Does the warnings displayed in Workshop JSP/XML Editor appear in the Problems View?

How to see all suggested routes in Maps

I'm using Maps in Mavericks. It shows "1 of 3 suggested routes" but I'd like to be able to look at the other 2 suggested routes. Is there any way I can do that?

Thanks for the question. The suggested routes are all shown on the main map in the application. For example, if you have directions that have 3 suggested routes, you should see three separate blue lines (one of which will be highlighted as the current route, the other two will be a lighter shade of blue). You can toggle between the suggested routes by clicking on the blue line of a different route.
While it may be hard to see in this image (click image to view larger), the following example shows the three blue lines I am referring to (signifying the three separate routes):

If you add the following in your web.xml:

</context-param>
The *.jsf will be mapped to the file with the same name, but xhtml as extention.
if you the javax.faces.DEFAULT_SUFFIX is not defined in the web.xml, the default suffix comes from the one of the constant of javax.faces.application.ViewHandler . This constant names DEFAULT_SUFFIX and equals to ".jsp"
