How to measure un-queued requests

Hi.
We have a web logic application that has to serve a lot of throughput.
To prevent timeouts on the client side, I configured it so that the work manager that takes in the requests is limited to a certain amount. The max-threads is configured comparably to the DB pool capability, and the limit is set in such a way so that we prevent the server to queue requests. Queuing proves deadly for us, as by the time the request actually makes to the executor, the client is gone.
The problem I'm seeing now, is that there doesn't seem to be a way to actually measure how many requests have been turned away. The only suggestion I got so far was to look into access logs, but I actually had to turn them off, as they are a performance issue on themselves, with the volume of requests we are having.
Knowing how many requests are falling off is relatively important, so that we can understand when there is time to add more app nodes.
Thanks!
Pawel.

Hi,
You may please check the configuration part of SLA. This might help you : http://www.renet-web.net/2009/07/21/slas-made-easy-in-sap-solution-manager/
The 'Date of first response' is the time when message is taken for processing  and the other one is the time when message truns to have the status 'Finished or Resolved'.
If you are intended to build a program to determine the time for the different status changes, you might be intersted in checking the Extras--Change Documents in your message.

  • How to delete 100+ released requests from the import queue?

    Hello
How to delete 100+ released requests from the import queue?
One by one or there is more convinient way?
    Thanks

To delete multiple non-imported transport requests, you do the following while in the import queue on STMS:
    1) Highlight the status field of the import queue.
    2) Sort the import queue by the status.
    3) Put your cursor on the first non-imported transport, right-click, and click on Select Block.
    4) Scroll down and put your cursor on the last non-imported transport, right-click and click on Select Block. This will highlight all requests from the first one selection to the last one selected.
    5) Go to menu option Request > Delete.
If all of the requests in the import queue haven't been imported (no imported, including failed import, requests), you can jump to Steps 3-5.

  • How to delete the Transport Request?

    Hi all,
I want to delete the Transoport Request from Production Box( we have 2 request number... one child another one parent). I released the Child Request. Now i want to delete that request. we don't have setup in our production Box i think(in order to release that we don't have setup in Production Box).
Any Idea? I know how to delete that Transport Request. If i try to release that i'm getting TP(Transport Profile error) <b>with return Code 12</b>. it suppose to handle by Basis. My basis consultant is not aware of how to work on this?
    Regards,
    Nagesh Ganisetti.

I am not sure I understand.
You release the request in the system you created, not in another system (in your case production). It will then go to the import queue of the target system.
Transports will be configured in all the systems in your landscape (including production).
Just by releasing a request, it will not go to the target (unless it is configured so, not likely if the target is production), someone has to import it into the target. I assume you do not want this request to go to target. In this case, release it, then go to STMS, import queue, and delete it from there.
    Added -
I now see that the request is in production.
Igore the above in that case.
If you are not able to release it, let it be. If you are doing an upgrade/support pack, you will need to release it.
When you try to delete, what message do you get?

  • How to create a queue using CVP with ICM script(Comprehensive mode)

    Hello Guys,
I would like to know how can I configure a queue in a comprehensive mode using micro-app at CVP + ICM environment. I work with UCCE at least 2 years, so I know how to create a queue using UCCX and/or IPIVR (I do a queue application using UCCX Editor and at ICM I use the Run external Script component), but at CVP I don't know how to create a application at Call Studio and how to call this application at ICM Script Editor to run this queue if there aren't agents available.
Can someone help me to understand how can I do that?
I attached the ICM Script using micro-app. This script runs ok, I call to a Route pattern and CVP route request ICM, so ICM run the script, but if there are no agents available the call drops, so I would like to know how can I create a queue to hold the call and to come back to a available agent.

Out of the check mark in the queue to skill group node you go to another run external script node, then you loop into that over and over again until the call is answered.

  • How many types of Queues exists and how to identify them.

    Hello
can anyone say How many types of Queues exists and how to identify them.
What does R3R* and CSA* stands for.
    Regards,
    divya

    Hi Divya,
The queues R3* and CSA* that you have specified are qRFC queues. qRFC queues are data queues which transport data to and fro different systems.
There are also the tRFC queues which are triggered whenever you make RFC calls to connect to another system.
Queues with prefix R3AD* - for delta download from R3->CRM
Queues with prefix R3AU* - for data upload from CRM->R3
Queues with prefix R3AR* - used to transfer data during request load from R3->CRM
Queues with prefix R3AI* - for initial load from R3->CRM
Queues with prefix CSA* - these are validation object specific queues used for processing/persisting data in CRM tables in a serialized manner. E.g. CSABUPA* for business partner,CSA_ORDER* for sales order etc.
You can administer and monitor the queues in trax. SMQR,SMQS.
Hope this helps you! Pls. do not forget to reward me some points.
    Regards,
    Sudipta.

  • Queued Request Limit (Stateless) -

I have stateless webservice calls setup and I am trying to trigger the Queued Request Limit (Stateless) limitation which is supported to be 5. However it seems that no matter how many concurrent sessions I kick off the calls simply queue up and do not trigger this exception. Does anyone have any insight on whether this limitation is not enforced?
Some more information: all the calls are using the same CRMOD service account, but they spawn off 2 sessions on the server. I kicked of 20 concurrent sessions which are sharing these 2 on the server.
Is it possible that this Queued Request Limit (Stateless) only kicks in if you are using different usernames?

    Hi jeffry;
We have a "Feature Request" form where you can vote on popular existing ideas or add a new one of your own, limiting the responses is on the list for you to vote for:

  • HOW MANY TYPES OF transportable requests?

HOW MANY TYPES OF transportable requests?

    Hi,
In R/3 Release 4.0, SAP has introduced the Change and Transport System (CTS), comprising the following tools:
    1. Change and Transport Organizers(CTO)
    2. Transport management system(TMS)
The Change and Transport Organizer (CTO) provides functions for organizing software development projects. It is designed to support projects of all sizes, whether they are carried out centrally or in a distributed environment.
The Transport Management System (TMS) organizes, monitors, and performs transports for allR/3 Systems within a system landscape. In addition, TMS is used to configure and manage the setting up of R/3 Systems and transport routes within a system landscape.
The Transport Management System (Transaction STMS) enables you to:
    1. Define an R/3 System's role within a system landscape or transport domain
    2. Configure the transport routes using either a graphical editor or hierarchical editor
    3. Configure the transport tool transport control program tp.
    4. Display the import queues of all R/3 Systems in the transport domain
5.Decide whether the quality assurance testing was successful in the QA System
6.Start the import of change requests in an import queue
The transports request can be of two types :
    1. Customizing
    2. Workbench
Customizing adapts the R/3 software to meet a company's individual business requirements by setting up the business transactions the company requires in R/3.  Most Customizing is client-specific and affects only a particular client.
Workbench - Development changes are saved to Workbench change requests. Workbench change requests concern changes to R/3 Repository objects, such as ABAP programs, screens, data dictionary objects and global documentation.
To access the Workbench Organizer, use Transaction SE09

  • How to submit a concurrent request from Discoverer report.

I would like to know If any one has tried submitting a concurrent request from Discoverer Report?_
This is no stupid question, but our team here finally decided with a solution to our long pending issues with few of the discoverer report. To Proceed further, we would like to know, how to submit a concurrent request from Discoverer report?
We are looking for calling a package from the Disco admin by passing the parameters from the disco to the 6i report.
All help us in this regards are much appreciated.
Kindly help us in the same!
    Thanks
    Arun

Thanks Rod for confirming the same.
I will be trying the same today and will let you know if I succeed in doing it.
If I can share the actual requirement with you, it goes like this.
"I will be triggering the Oracle 6i standard AP Trail balance report through the Disco report. The standard report will be inserting the required data to one of my custom table. Once the concurrent program completes normal, my custom table will be having the required data to create the workbook specific to the current run of the concurrent program.
The one problem which I think could happen is, How can I make my disco report to wait till the standard program to complete in normal so that my disco report can be generated with the data from custom table.
Will the above requirement is possible If I follow the way you mention in the PDF or Could you suggest a better way for achieving the same.
In short, my requirement is: The custom table(say XX_TABLE) will be populated with data when the standard 6i report is run and the disco admin will be making of the custom table (XX_TABLE) to generate the report.
    Please advice.
    Thanks
    Arun

  • User Management - How to submit Additional Access Request on behalf of employee

User Management - how can we configure "Access Requests" so that Managers can submit Additional Access Requests, or Initial Access Requests on behalf of employee?
Have looked at "Manage Proxies" but this seems to allow access to everything - not ideal
Please assist with knowledge and/or experience
    Many Thanks
    Me

Additional Access Request Registration Process is complete
Giving access to User Management to users is not an option.
What I would like is the scenario below - is this achievable?
When employee goes to iProcurement > Preferences > Access Requests > Request Access | they can submit an access request on behalf of themselves.
Would like an option where a manager, navigates to same UI as above, has option to choose a subordinate, and request additional access on their behalf
The table UMX_REG_REQUESTS has columns REQUESTED_FOR_USER_ID & REQUESTED_BY_USER_ID - so it seems they don't have to be same person (manager can submit request on behalf of an employee)
Can this be achieved through UI for "Access Requests"?

  • How to delete a single request from DSO in BI 7.0

    Dear Experts,
Could you please tell me how to delete a single request from DSO?
I mean, in DSO if we delete one request it also delete the requests which are above it. But i don't to delete the above it.
    Please suggest me this issue.
    Regards,
    Prathap

IN DSO--its a very basic thing....
ACTIVE TABLE and CHANGELOG tables are overwritten after activation of each request.
So ,each new request has a realationsip with the older request.
    So in the cases:
1.If you activate the older request it will delete the new one ,because changelog entries have been written from the data of new request on the basis of the older one.
    e.g older request  entries:
    a x 1
    new request
    a x 2
    change log
    a x 1
    a x -1
    a x 2
so its quite obvious you can't have  a x 2 directly (because in the infocube you will be sending wrong entries by deleting the just the older request and loadning new request).
2.If you have activate new and old request toghterh then also system will not allow you to delete the newer request alone and you will have to delete both the requests.
I guess already someone proposed correct solution to you ...thats selective deletion...but rahter than doing selective deletion there is a better way if you want to cancel out a particular request:
    thats request reverst posting
IN the process monitor of any particular request you can find out the option for request reverse posting..Its good for individual request cancellation(keyfig values will become 0 for that particular request)

Is this to run periodically ?
During the request submission, click schedule, choose the specific days, and click on S = Sunday.
Change the start date on the date of the sunday you want to run, eg : 15-JUL-07 14:00:00, change the end date as well.

  • How to find  a concurrent request's responsibility of  the FND user

How to find a concurrent request's responsibility of the OA user who submitted?
For example, I have a concurrent request id: 123, I know user A submitted,
I want to know user A's Responsibility when submitting the request id: 123.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I'm not sure about this, but can you check whether FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS.RESPONSIBILITY_ID provides you with the RESPONSIBILITY_ID of the user from which the request is triggered ? If yes, joining this with FND_RESPONSIBILITY_VL.RESPONSIBILITY_NAME can give you the name of the executing responsibility.
