How to merge the data from two cubes into ODS?
Hi,
I wan to analyze the data of both the cubes by means of merging into an ODS.
And i want to have one of the characteristic is used as a key for the purpose which is existing in both the cubes
Cany nay one detail me of how this can be done?

Hi,
If it is very needful.
you can create the ODS object for each infocubes and map these ODS objects to target ODS object.
or, you can create the Export datasources from each infocube and map these to new target ODS object which is having all the char and KF of both the infocubes.

According to your description, you want to retrieve data from two different cubes, right? The short answer is yes. To query multiple cubes from a single MDX statement use the LOOKUPCUBE function (you can't specify multiple cubes in your FROM statement).
The LOOKUPCUBE function will only work on cubes that utilize the same source database as the cube on which the MDX statement is running. For the detail information about it, please refer to the link below to see the blog.

A Cube is nothing but a Data Storage. Based on the Mapping we given it considers the data.
To fetch the data from the Cube -> we have to write the SQl Query as below :

and even we can write where clauses for the above select statement.

can we apply any calculations while mapping the Level to an Dimension.
Generally we will map Level toa dimension as DBUSER.TABLENAME.COLUMN NAME
can we apply any calculation like :
MIS.PROPKEY020MB.MATURITY_DATE+2
Please help for the above.

For the first time when i complied i got the errors as :

What does this mean?
So I browse through forum & i got to know that i need to initial the UTL_FILE_DIR ="C:/OracleProject" in init.ora
So can i edit the init.ora with notepad.When i tried to do that it says permission denied
In my system it shows the init.ora file in path C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\config\scripts
but there is also other file initXETemp in the same path do i need to do the changes in it.
I have tried even editing the SPFILE as mentioned below:
C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\dbs\SPFILEEXE - I had edit this file using notepad & set the value of UTL_FILE_DIR ="C:/OracleProject". So next time when i restarted i'm unable to log on to the database.
So i had reinstall the software again.

Combine the data of two DSOs into one
Hello experts,
how to load the data of two DSOs into a single one using transformations and DTPs?
Example:
DSO A keyfields: X,Y,Z / attributes M,N,O
DSO B keyfields: X,Y,Z / attributes P,Q
DSO C keyfields: X,Y,Z / attributes M,N,O,P,Q (result should be a single data record!)
In the transformation between DSO A and C I map all keyfields and attributes M,N,O (no mapping for P and Q, meaning no transformation rule). For B to C mapping is all keyfields and attributes P, Q (no mapping for M,N,O, no transformation rule).
When I now load the data of DSO A and DSO B to DSO C I either see the attributes M,N,O or P,Q. This means that only the latest DTP is available and overwrites the attributes with blank values of the first DTP.
I have a solution using ABAP coding but according to the SAP Training courses (BW330) it should work without using ABAP coding.
Any help is highly appreciated.

just an overview i need to create X,Y,Z,M,N,O as info objects characteristics
and P, O as infoobjects keyfigure.
None of them will have attributes and i load XYZMNO to DSO1 and same XYZPO to DSO2.
Then map DSO1 - DSO3 and DSO2 - DSO3 and carry out the steps to get the data from DSO1 and DSO2 to DSO3.

How do you merge the data of two MIDI regions into one MIDI region without using copy and paste functions in the piano roll editor?
Sorry - didn't make myself clear. The glue tool would be no good here. I meant that I wanted, for example, to merge the MIDI contents of two regions that are perhaps on different tracks but play back at the same time, i.e. I want to add the 2nd region's MIDI to the 1st region's MIDI, but without having to go into the piano roll editor and cut and paste the data.

i'm trying to create a report use the data from two different cubes, but that's a problem. what i want to do is like this:
From Cube A, i want to get the total machine number for each type of machine:
Type machine | Total machine
Type A 10000
Type B 15000
Type C 40000
And from Cube B, i want to get the machine amount which has an error, also group by machine type:
Type machine | Broken machine amount
Type A 50
Type B 15
Type C 100
So what can i do to create a report like below:
