How to modify a standard OAF page in version R12

Dear all,
I have a requirement to modify a standard OAF page(can't implement by personalization),and my EBS version is R12,but i have not the source java code of the page,I try to decomplie the class file by a sofeware named 'YingSoft' , as the r12's jdk is 1.6,will have some errors.
So,anybody know how to accomplish or have other decompile software?

I use Java Decompiler (JD) in it works fine for me. Also, I guess you know it already, but just in case, there is a detailed explanation on how to extend standard OAF pages in the OA Framework Developer's guide and how to deploy the changes.

Hi,
You need to FTP all the files that are related to your page.
What is your exact requirement ? You can make the changes to the page even without FTP all the files and it depends on your requirement.
For example, if you want to extend a controller, then just move the standard controller and create a new java class extended from that controller. Later you can compile the same on unix box. So there is no need to FTP all the files.
Yes, whatever class file you FTP, you need to put those at \jdevhome\jdev\myclasses.

Standard scripts cant be modified.
Only thing is you need to copy it to z-form and have to do modifications as per ur requirements.
Here is the procedure to copy standard form to z-form.
goto SE71 t-code, then select the menu path : Utilities -> Copy from Client
then it will take to another screen, give the form name as Standard form name, if u r copying a stadard invoice means, type RVINVOICE01 and target form, ZRVINVOICE01. Now press execute button, it will copy the form into 25 languages. Now come back to se71, enter Z-form name and do the required changes.

i have one requirement in which i have to customize a standard OAF page.
i have downloaded all .class files and im able to run standard page on local.
But as per the requirement we need to develop the custom page similar to standard page
and then add the additional functionalities to it . Is there any way so that we can use the existing VO's,VL's,AM's ?

The system asks for access key only of two reasons:
1) You may be having problem of access rights. You would have to contact basis peopl.
2) You may try to name an object not complying with the rules. You may have to check with the same.

you can also try via transaction OSS1
In your Inbox, click on 'Registration', then on 'Register Objects', then you will have to choose your installation and give details about your object.
The details you can get by going to your object and clicking on 'Change' - the pop-up screen which asks you for the access key gives you all the details you need to fill in on OSS1 to get your key.

If message which needs to be changed is attached to AOL message then try the below
1.modify the message according to your requirement
2. clear fucntional cache to reflect the change in login page
Navigation to clear cache: Functional Administrator Responsibility -> Core Services -> Caching Framework -> Global Configuration -> Click on “Clear All Cache” button then click “Yes” button
How to find out which message is attached with that login page.Is there any way to find out that in about this page or personalization or any other method.If your login page is OAF page then you can check it using about this page. Go to 'about this page' link select "Expand All" radio button then search for your message.

R12 Can't make standard OAF pages to work from Jdevloper

i have to develop customization on PO.
to do that i have to extend a controller of a OAF page.
I face problems even before i start writing some codes.
I downloaded the $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/po content and subfolders to "myclasses".
I did copy the same folder in myprojects.
Then i download the $PO_TOP/mds content and subfolders to "myprojects".
I create my workspace and project, setup it properly.
Before starting to create my controller i am trying to launch the FULL STANDARD PO order page and create an order.
so i launch the page OrderSummaryPG.xml located in oracle/apps/po/document/order/webui.
I create an order
fill in the header information
create a ligne
fill in the line information
Save the order
I Click on approve button
then i get this error. why am i getting this error if i did not change any of the code ?
any idea ?

How do you merge two OAF Pages?

Hi Experts,
I need to merge regions of one OAF page into another in R12. In this example, it is an AP Approval Notification where in the notification there is a link where it opens into another page which details the lines in the invoice. The idea is to put some of the information in this second page into the first, so there is only the one page in the notification so the user does not have to click into another.
I've never had to do this before and would welcome any comments on the approach. My idea is to customise the first page, i.e the main notification. The top and bottom parts page of the page is made up of standard workflow notification regions. This I would leave as it is. The central part is made up of a region that is specific to ap invoice. I could extend this region and add in the region from the second invoice lines page that I need, I would also migrate the functionality required in the controller class to the controller class in the first page.
How does this sound? Is there anything else I need to consider?

The central part of the notification that is referenced by the AP workflow is the following page:
JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?page=/oracle/apps/ap/invoice/request/negotiation/webui/NotifPGRN;INVOICEID=-&INVOICE_ID-&ITEMKEY=-&NOTIFICATION_KEY-&ITEMTYPE=-&ITEMKEY_CONST-
Under this following page (/oracle/apps/ap/invoice/request/negotiation/webui/NotifPGRN) there is the following region:
oracle.apps.ap.invoice.request.negotiation.webui.NotifPGRN
So this is the main notification. On it, the lines page is referenced as a link and this goes to the follwoing region:
/oracle/apps/ap/invoice/request/negotiation/webui/InvPoLineRN
So just to re-iterate, I need to insert this lines region into the first page. Could I then do it by taking the controller classes out of the lines region and adding it to controller classes of the main page region and having this main page region substitute the region that is already present?
I'm trying to get in my head what is the right approach and technically what I need to consider. Any help again is greatly recieved.

Using personalization, from a custom page, I am trying to open a standard Iexpense page using the following inthe Destincation URI in messagestyledtext as
OA.jsp?OAFunc=OIEMAINPAGE&startFrom=ActiveSubmitted&ReportHeaderId=380705855&OIERefreshAM=Y
The original page has OA.jsp?OAFunc=OIEMAINPAGE&startFrom=ActiveSubmitted&ReportHeaderId={!ReportHeaderId}&OIERefreshAM=Y in the message styled text
But when click on this from the custom page, the page opens with tabbed regions above and then gives error as below. Please let me know how to resovle this issue.
Profiles 1) FND_VALIDATION_LEVEL and 2) FND_FUNCTION_VALIDATION_LEVEL are already set to None.
Error is:
Page Security cannot be asserted. The page has either expired or has been tampered. Please contact your System Administrator for help.

If So can you please tell me:
Have u added your called function to the current user? That means by navigating to the responsibility you can access the same page directly, with out doing any transaction? If so then create your custom function with your required URL and attach to a menu ; then check if you are able to view that page from the menu navigation?If these thing is not working then I think you need to create a custom page that will extend the std region , that time hopefully it will work.

I recomend you read the tutorial on Jars, you can then use the Archive Wizard in JBuilder ( File -> New -> Archive ) to create a JAR file.
