I tried to order movenode position in quicklaunch. Is there any alternative ways to do so?

If you read the "Apple Pro Training Sereis; Final Cut Pro 5" book, it's very easy. You can sync the clips manually by setting In or Out points, specifying TC, or using one of the two Aux TC fields. Since this is the first, and most basic step in doing Multiclip editing, I'd suggest you get the book, or read the appropriate section of the User Manual. I don't think anyone wants to post a full "how to" article in a forum.
It can be done, you're clips have to all have been recorded with synced TC, or they simply won't sync up in any NLE. Read the book. Cause even if I did have the time to explain FCP's Multiclip editing in this forum, you'd still have questions that are in the book.
If you actually walk through the first steps of building a Multiclip to edit, it's blatatnly obvious in the first step. I'd give it a try first.
Problem is the DVCPRO-HD codec is going to require a higher end Mac with tons of RAM and either RAID, or internal drives to do a DVCPRO-HD Multiclip, as DVCPRO-HD (P2) is a pretty high bandwidth codec. I use it daily, I know, it takes horsepower to do.

Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the object. You will see an outline ("marching ants") once the selection is complete
Go to Edit menu>copy to copy the selection to the clipboard
Open picture A, then go to Edit>paste
Use the move tool to position object from picture B.
In the layers palette you should see picture A as the background layer, and object B on a separate layer

How do i position a dialog popup box when it opens???

i'm using the adf faces to follow a navigation link (dialog:addUser) to a new dialog popup page. all is working great; i am able to return the values in the popup as expected.
what i can't find is how do i position this popup when it opens? i don't want it in the upper left over the calling page...i want to move it over and down so it appears to be more centered. can this be done? there's an attribute for height and one for width but not one for upper left X and Y positions that i can find.

How to move elements within the master region of a Master/Detail spry data set?

Hi there,
I am unsure of how to move the different items within the master region of a master/detail spry dataset. The default style is such that if I include 3 or more elements e.g. Thumb, etc., they are stacked vertically :
How do I move them so that they can be positioned differently? The look I am going for is one where the thumb image is positioned to the left while the other items are stacked alongside it so that the end effect for the master region would look like this:

How do I position cropped audio clips?

I have placed a bunch of photos in an iMovie project to create a slideshow with music. I am trying to place MP3 songs in various positions during the slideshow I'm trying to create. I understand that I have to use the crop markers to choose the portions of the audio clips I want to use. But I can't figure out how I then place the shortened audio clips in the exact position in the slideshow that I want.
I cropped the beginning of a song in the timeline viewer, but then I can't figure out how to move the cropped song to the very beginning of the slideshow.
I've never used iMovie before and I am a complete novice. So, please keep this in mind when giving me instructions...

This is how my students do it. Drag or import the song to the empty track under where your pictures are on the time line. My students like to crop on the timeline so they slect the music by clicking on it and it turns dark purple. Move the coursor to where you want to make the cut and type "Apple-T" (at the same time). This wil place a cut on the music track. Now place a cut where at the other end of where you want the music to end. Finally click on the unused track to make the music track go back to the lighter color. and click on the piece you want to delete. It will turn dark again and type "Apple-X" and it will delete.
Grab your music track with the mouse and drag it to where you want it. Lock it by placing you coursor on the music track and the video clip, click the music track to darken it and go to the advanced pull down and select "lock clip at playhead". If you did it right 2 tiny thumbtacks will appear.
This is just one way to do it.

How to move multiple clips with transitions?

Im still transitioning from FCP7 to FCP 10.1.2 and can't believe I have missed the lesson that explains how to move multiple clips with transitions.
Up till now I have tried several work arounds including deleting all the transitions then using the (P) Position tool to move the clips from the primary track to some track above it then re adding all the transitions. This is a function I do on a daily basis. Am I missing something? Please help!

With some further investigation, the transitions have nothing to do with my problem. In my case there was a tiny “Black gap slug” within the group that was preventing me from being able set it on top of another group of clips or gap someplace. But even with the gap removed… I can move the clips on top of another group but the transitions stay behind on the primary (Magnetic)
In the screen shot you can see what happens when I move a group out of the primary (magnetic) timeline onto a gap. All the transitions get left behind.
Ive notices that Cutting and pasting will only paste the sequence some other place on the primary (magnetic) timeline for me.
An example of why I would want to put a cropped/ resized group on top of another group is to do picture in picture effects or if I wanted to create a background behind a set of adjusted clips.

How do you position an image inside a photo box?

I'm trying to create a 20 page 16x8 book and I cannot figure out how, after putting a photo box on the page, and dropping an image into it, how do I move the image around inside of it. For instance if I create a square photo box, how do I position a 3:2 image inside of it?

We have created an XSLT for the XML-IN in Indesign, its working fine and all the styles are applied automatically and figures and tables were placed as inline.
Now we need to move the INLINE elements to FLOATING.
How to move the INLINE elements such as figures and tables to Floating. This is for automation purpose.
We are stuck up, please suggest.
Our requirement is need to move the "figures" from "Inline" to "float" for auto pagination purpose.
Please give us a route to end with proper result. We are at learning stage of Java Script.
We use Indesign CS3 with JavaScript, I am not asking the full code, just give us an idea, how to pick from the XML tree and make it as float.

Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the object, then place it on its own layer.
In your example, you would select the moon. You will see "marching ants" surrounding the selection, delineating the boundary of the selection and that it is active.
To place the object on its own layer, go to Layer menu>new> layer via copy, or CTRL+J. You will see the object surrounded by transparency (checkerboard pattern).
Use the move tool to position the moon object wherever you want
Place a blank layer below the layer created in step #2, then fill it with your new background.
You can select multiple objects and place them this way to suit. Again, back to your hypothetical of.10 objects on 10 layers, you can link these layers by pressing CTRL+left clicking on each of the 10 layers in the layers palette.
If you use the move tool, you will see that they move as a block. If you are unhappy with one of the layers as you go along, simply delete it, and replace it with a new one.
As for naming the layers, right click on a layer, and from the menu select "rename" layer to bring up the layers properties, then rename it to something meaningful.

@Learner – you can duplicate the object to the next page and remove the original.
If the original one is anchored you also have to account for its position, because duplicating an anchored object will move it.
Here an example for duplicating a selected object to the same page.

One caution here: to make that work the way you want with facing pages, you have to take into account, that your coordinate system must be changed to "per page" by the property "RulerOrigin" of the ViewPreferences.

How i can position my spreadsheet stuff left upper corner ? i always get small (but too big to my special needs,and even poorer i dont know how big this margin is) margin y-axis. ps. also same thing applies for Pages. I this special use i think both are suitable tools but looks like i must use numbers becouse in pages there is limits how many rows i can get.

Welcome to Apple discussions and the Numbers'09 forum.
I'm not sure exactly what you are asking here. Both Numbers and Pages start in the upper left corner of the page, but both also have tools that take some space across the top of the window and a sidebar of the left side of the window.
Pages will let you hide the format bar and the ruler (see the View menu) to reclaim most of the space at the top, and hide the Page Thumbnails running down the left side of the page (Uncheck the Page Thumbnails item in the View button's menu). Use the (Document) Inspector to set the margins to smaller values to move the content closer to the top left corner, and set the header and footer values to 0 if you are not using headers or footers.
Numbers will not let you hide the Sheets list on the left side, but you can make it take less space by dragging the square to the right of the word "Sheets" left toward the edge of the screen. As in Pages, the Format bar may be hidden (the ruler is hidden by default). Margins may be set in the (Sheet) Inspector.
On the screen, Numbers hides Print view by default, allowing you to scroll over the whole sheet without seeing page breaks.
PDF uses the page size set for the document fom which the PDF file was created. To get more rows in a table, you will need to either decrease the height of each row or increase the size of the page.

How to move video inside LR 4?

Hi
Could anyone please explain to me how to move a video, from one folder to another inside LR 4?
I've moved pictures from one folder to another inside LR 4 several times before, I just marked the pics I wanted to move, and draged them to the desired folder, but I can't do it with these videos........
The arrow in the left side , in folders, pointing to the folder I wish to move, is greyed out, as if something is wrong, can't figure out why.....
If I right click on the selected videos, there's no "move" option.......

The Greyed out arrow is normal, as I see it now...
