How to open a aspx page in a sp modal dialog for ipad?

I have a scenario where I need to open a aspx page, inside a SP Modal Dialog.
I have created the same and it is working perfectly in every browser except IPAD.
Is there any different approach needs to be taken if I want to view SP Modal dialog in IPAD?
Thanks in Advance,
Arindam

Hi
i think you need to make css change for the same as if there is some rendering issue(cropping )
http://www.a2zmenu.com/Blogs/sharepoint/SharePoint%202010%20Model%20Dialog.aspx
or you can use css dialog box and try.

    hi ..
    i want to know how to open a jsp page from a oracle apps form using a button .
    the requirement is that whenever we click on the button created on the form, it opens a jsp page.

    In portlet project, to navigate between pages, you should not use the URL property to link to a page. Instead, portlets use navigation via action handling. You use the Page Navigation editor to set up links to pages; that is, the navigation editor sets the action property.
    Here is an example to hyperlink ans button to open a new page:
    # From within the IDE, create a new portlet project. This action creates the project and one page, PortletPage1.jsp.
    # Create a second portlet page, called PortletPage2.jsp, for the project.
    # Drop a Hyperlink component onto the first portlet page, PortletPage1. (You can drop the Hyperlink on the page in the Design window or on the PortletPage1 node in the Outline window.) Change the Hyperlink's text property to Next Page.
    # Drop a Button component (found in the Basic section of the Palette) onto the second portlet page, PortletPage2.
    # Open the Page Navigation Editor. It displays the two pages (PortletPage1.jsp and PortletPage2.jsp) of the application.
    # Click the PortletPage1.jsp icon in the Navigation window to expand it, and then drag a connector from hyperlink1 to PortletPage2.jsp. Change the name of the connector from case1 to Page2.
    # Click the PortletPage2.jsp icon in the Navigation window to expand it, and then drag a connector from button1 to PortletPage1.jsp. Change the name of the connector from case1 to Page1.
    # Run and deploy the portlet. The browser displays PortletPage1 and you should see the Next Page hyperlink. When you click the Next Page hyperlink, the Apache Pluto Portal server displays PortletPage2. Click the Page2 button to return to PortletPage1.

    Have a look at this thread, the last entry has the full code and has everything you need there.
    The answer to knowing how many pages is, you don't need to know!
    You use SL code and no error and no page is opened. Thats the crux of the code.

  • How do you pass a column link value into modal dialog

    Hi everyone,
    I've got quite a tricky problem...To spell it out:
    1. I have a calendar with column links.
    2. I have a (popup) report on a separate page that shows detailed information about the record selected in 1.
    3. To eliminate the extra page, I've moved the report region to the calendar page, and created a modal dialog to display the report.
    Here's my dilemma, how do I 'get' the value of the column link (when clicked) so that I can use it when calling the modal report?
    (APEX 4.0)
    Thanks!

    True Andy.
    Combining the two examples then:
    function openModal(pVal1,pVal2)
    var l_Return = null;
    var get = new htmldb_Get(null, $x('pFlowId').value, 'APPLICATION_PROCESS=DUMMY', 14);
    get.add('P14_REPORT_FILTER1', pVal1); // set up page items to receive value
    get.add('P14_REPORT_FILTER2',pval2);
    gReturn = get.get(''); // Calls dummy process to set session state
    var tab = $('#REGION_STATIC_ID'); // grabs the region static id
    var report_id_str=$("div[id^=report_]", tab).attr("id"); // finds the 'report_'
    var report_id=report_id_str.match(/\d+/)[0]; // gets just the numeric id
    $a_report(report_id, '1', '15', '15'); // refreshes the report
    // Call to show modal here
    } You'll need to sub REGION_STATIC_ID for your region_static ID and make sure that it exists in the template.
    You could also just sub out the three lines between gReturn and $a_report with the hardcoded value of the region ID like:
    var report_id='R6974536412746853317'.substring(1);
    but if you and your region numbers change (if you import your app into a different app_id) then you'd have to go back and fix these.
    HTH, Thanks Andy for making me READ (not SCAN) the actual post :)

    Hi,
    The view itself is a Web Part called an XSLT List View Web Part (XLV for short). This Web Part is stored on an ASPX page that is by default associated with a list or library on your site.
    I suggest you can check if the view page is valid, also, you can try to create another view, then redirect to the view page to see if there is xslt in the page.

  • Why won't Firefox 12.0 won't open/load .aspx pages?

    When I am on ancestry.com and researching various genealogy family members. If I right click an ancestor and do "open in new window," instead of opening in Firefox 12.0 (which is set as my default browser) it opens in IE. If I click on the properties of the item(s) I'm opening to see what they are, they say they are ASPX files. Obviously the URL can be opened in Firefox after it's been opened in IE, but not directly with a right-click from Ancestry.com. Why is that? (Note, you may need to be a ancestry.com member to see the info displayed within this URL.)

    If you use the add-on IE Tab or one of its derivatives, can you check whether there is an option that controls this?
    If you just left-click or if you Ctrl+click (open in new tab), do those work normally or do those also launch an IE window?
    The .aspx extension can be used to delivery ordinary web pages, PDFs, or any other kind of file. Firefox generally looks at the content-type sent by the server. Firefox compares the content-type with the list of application handlers to determine how to open it.
    The content-type is invisible in ordinary browsing. You can view it using an add-on, or perhaps more quickly if you use Rex Swain's HTTP viewer tool. After you a logged in to Ancestry, paste the URL into the form on [http://www.rexswain.com/httpview.html] and click the bubble for HEAD then click Submit. On the results page, if you scroll down a bit to the "Receiving Header" section, what Content-Type is listed there?
    With that information, we may be able to find a problem entry here:

  • How to open a new page from a Spry Table click, with element info?

    Hello, Spry experts!
    This is probably simple, but I've searched for hours and can't find what I need. I'm using Dreamweaver CS4 and Spry 1.6.1 to create a simple Spry Table from an XML data set using PHP as my back end.  I've used Dreamweaver's Insert->Spry->Spry Data Set to create everything, and the table is working fine.  Colors, clicks, sorts, etc., are all working correctly as expected.
    What I want is to be able to add a behavior such that when a table row is clicked, I can open a new page.  Moreover, I want to pass a parameter from the table to the new page, like http://www.mydomain.com/newpage.php?aid=12345 or whatever.
    So, for example, my table has two columns, "a_id" and "a_name", and my repeat region looks like this:
    <div spry:region="xml_assignments">
    <table width="500">
    <tr>
    <th spry:sort="a_id" class="spry_header">ID</th>
    <th spry:sort="a_name" class="spry_header">Assignment</th>
    </tr>
    <tr spry:repeat="xml_assignments" spry:setrow="xml_assignments" spry:odd="spry_odd" spry:even="spry_even" spry:hover="spry_hover" spry:select="spry_select">
    <td>{a_id}</td>
    <td>{a_name}</td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </div>
    What I want is to be able to open an entirely new URL, passing the value of the {a_id} in the selected row as a parameter to the new URL, as in something like:  http://www.mydomain.com/newpage.php?aid={a_id}
    So my questions are:
    1. How best to apply the action to the table?  Add an onclick to the tr tag?  Something else?
    2. How to extract the {a_id} value from the current row and pass it as a parameter to the action?
    Or maybe just take another approach entirely?
    I know that I can make the actual text in the table cells hyperlinks, and use them to link to the new page, which is fine.  The desire here is just to make it so that the user can click "anywhere" on the table row (as they can currently do with the spry:select behavior) and have the link kick off, whether they actually click on the linked text or somewhere in the row where there is no text.
    I'm sure this is obvious and simple, but I'm new to this level of Spry detail, and my brain is fried from hunting.  Any guidance will be gratefully appreciated!

    I found the answer myself, after posting this, of course!
    I changed:
    <tr spry:repeat="xml_assignments" spry:setrow="xml_assignments" spry:odd="spry_odd" spry:even="spry_even" spry:hover="spry_hover" spry:select="spry_select">
    to
    <tr spry:repeat="xml_assignments" spry:setrow="xml_assignments" spry:odd="spry_odd" spry:even="spry_even" spry:hover="spry_hover" spry:select="spry_select" onclick="window.location.href='./newpage.php?aid={a_id}';">
    Basically just added the onclick parameter...
    And it all just worked!
