  • How to get column header text in IWDTable

    Hi
    Just want to know how to get column header name in IWDTable.
    I know that you can get it with
    IWDAbstractTableColumn[] groupedColumns = table.getGroupedColumns();
    for (int i = 0; i < groupedColumns.length; i++) {
         IWDAbstractTableColumn column = groupedColumns<i>;
         column.getHeader().getText();
    But what if text isnt set on header level but its rendered from cellEditor  model binding (im not sure if its like that).

    Finally after your suggestion i did it with this code
    String header = column.getHeader().getText();
                       if ((header == null || header.length() == 0) && column instanceof IWDTableColumn){
                            IWDTableCellEditor tableCellEditor = ((IWDTableColumn) column).getTableCellEditor();
                            if (tableCellEditor instanceof IWDTextView){
                                 String bindingPath = ((IWDTextView)tableCellEditor).bindingOfText();
                                  StringTokenizer tokenizer = new StringTokenizer(bindingPath,".");
                                  String token = "";
                                  IWDNodeInfo nodeInfo = context.getNodeInfo();
                                  while (tokenizer.hasMoreTokens()){
                                       token = tokenizer.nextToken();
                                       if (tokenizer.hasMoreTokens()){
                                            nodeInfo = nodeInfo.getChild(token);
                                  IWDAttributeInfo attribute = nodeInfo.getAttribute(token);
                                  ISimpleType simpleType = attribute.getSimpleType();
                                  simpleType.getDescription();
                                 header = simpleType.getDescription();

  • How to define Column Header text table control

    Hi All,
    I have to create a function in which user will pass Field Name, Field Description.
    I have to show that field description in Table Control Columns as Text for columns.
    Like if a user pass Material , PLant etc, then first column header text will be Material and so on and in rows it will show the data.
    One more thing, is it possible to define the technical attributes like length based on field passed through function.
    Please help me to find out the solution.
    Thanks
    Piyush Mathur

    Hi Piyush,
    here are the some components of the screen . you can change tehm at run time in your code.
    components: name,input,output,required,length,active,invisible,intensified,group1,group2...etc.
    at ruin time you modify these attributes..
    your requirement is to change the name attribute.
    regards,
    sateesh

  • How to delete columns from a 2D array

    Hi guys,
    I read a matrix from a text file and I want to delete the first and last columns of the matrix. I've been trying to do it with delete from an array function but it doesn't do it the way I want. Any suggestions?

    Keep in mind that by default, 2-D LabVIEW arrays are row-based. So though you might be thinking that the first indexing input for the 'index array' primitive is for columns, it is actually for rows. You can either select the second input for the 'index array', or, if you are like me and think better in columns, you can transpose the array before you operate on it. I recommend getting used to the order of the inputs for the array tools and forcing yourself into the LabVIEW convention, as it gets complicated if you need to invert an array before you operate on it, and then again after so that the array returns to row-centric order, which is what all the rest of the LV array tools are expecting
    Good luck!

  • ALV Column filed text French Translation

    Hi All,
    Is there any way to translate the ALV Report output column field text/description to french language?
    Thanks

    If it is a standard data element then system will take care of the translation, otherwise while creating field catalog use text elements and maintain its translation in all languages you want.

  • How to change JTable column header text

    How do you set the text in the JTable column headers? I know you can create a JTable specifying the text in an array:
    <li>JTable(Object[][] rowData, Object[] columnNames)
    But if you create the JTable specifying a TableModel,
    <li>JTable(TableModel dm)
    the header text defaults to "A", "B", "C", etc. I cannot figure out how to access the text in the header names so it can be changed to something useful. I know how to get the JTableHeader for the table, but it does not seem to have methods for actually setting header values.

    I'm sure that model allows you to specify header values so you don't have to do so manually. I would be very surprised if it didn't override the default getColumnName() method to provide a reasonable names.She wasn't writing the class, but [url http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=9200751#9200751]outlining a design for me to implement. And, based on a previous comment I had made, I think she assumed I wanted the new design to look as much like the old as possible. There were no headers in the original design, which wasn't even a table.
    Anyway, this works:
        final static String statisticsColumnNames[] = {
         "Type", "Count",
         "Red QE", "Green QE", "Blue QE", "Average QE",
         "Distance"
         qErrors = new QEBeanTableModel();
         JTable errorTable = new JTable(qErrors);
         TableColumnModel tcm = errorTable.getColumnModel();
         for (int col = 0; col < statisticsColumnNames.length; col++)
             tcm.getColumn(col).setHeaderValue(statisticsColumnNames[col]);
    It looks like setHeaderValue() on the TableColumn is what I was looking for.Again, only used if you are dynamically changing the values at run time or you don't like the defaults provided by the Bean-aware model.I coded the above before I read your last post. The QEBeanTableModel is extremely specific to my program. I.e. I cannot imagine it being used anywhere else. Would it still be better to implement a getColumnName() within the table model? Looking at your [url http://www.camick.com/java/source/RowTableModel.java]RowTableModel.java source, I can see that it would not be difficult to do so.
    Just decided to add the getColumnName() method. This whole sub-project is based on implementing a clean modern design (and learning about Java Beans). You've clearly stated twice that the method I have implemented is for dynamic header values only, which has already answered what I asked last paragraph.

  • Who knows how to output some text once labview detects something I want using pattern matching(Vision assistant)?

    who knows how to output some text once labview detects something I want using pattern matching(Vision assistant)?
    The text is something like"Yes, this is a coin"
    Thanks!

    I attached a SubVI which I used to place an overlay next to a Pattern, found by a Pattern Match before:
    As you can see, you simply pass the image reference and the Array of Matches to the VI along with the String you want to have as an overlay next to the Match.
    I also modified your VI a bit, but didn't test it. I created an Array of clusters, each elment containing the template path along with the respective text.
    Please note that this is just a hint!

  • Build Array and Output Values to Text or Excel File

    I know this is a simple question but I need some help. I'm reading a DC voltage in LabVIEW a while loop. I want to store all the read values into an array and export that array as an text or Excel file. I had a VI that I build before for this but I cannot seem to find it and I can't remember how I did it before. Any help is appreciated. I think I can do the exporting part but I do help with building the array (storing all the data values).

    I run into a problem while using the "Write to Text File Function". Initially I took about 60 measurements and wrote to a text file. That works but I increased the amount of measurements to be taken to 600 and when I did that the output in the text file are all Chinese letters (or that's what it seems like). Is this because I'm writing too much data?
    When I use the "Write To Spreadsheet File VI" to write the measurments it works fine for the 600 measurements. The problem with this is I cannot insert any text. Using the "Write to Text File Function" I inserted some text before the measurements and "end of lines", to format the data. Attached is a screenshot of my VI.

  • How can i  change the column label text in a alv table display

    how can i change the column label text in a alv table display??
    A similar kinda of question was posted previuosly where the requirement was the label text was needed and following below code was given as solution :
    <i>*  declare column, settings, header object
    DATA: lr_column TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_column.
    DATA: lr_column_settings TYPE REF TO if_salv_wd_column_settings.
    DATA: lr_column_header type ref to CL_SALV_WD_COLUMN_HEADER.
    get column by specifying column name.
    lr_column = lr_column_settings->get_column( 'COLUMN_NAME1' ).
    set Header Text as null
    lr_column_header = lr_column->get_header( ).
    lr_column_header->set_text( ' ' ).</i>
    My specific requirement is i have an input field on the screen and i want reflect that value as the column label for one of the column in the alv table. I have used he above code with slight modification in the MODIFYVIEW method of the view since it is a process after input. The component gets activated without any errors but while run time i get an error stating
    <i>"The following error text was processed in the system CDV : Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible."</i>
    i have checked in debugging and the error occured at the statement :
    <i>lr_column = lr_column_settings->get_column( 'CURRENT_YEAR' ).</i>Please can you provide me an alternative for my requirement or correct me if i have done it wrong.
    Thanks,
    Suri

    I found it myself how to do it. The error says that it is not able to find the reference object i.e  it is asking us to refer to the table. The following piece of code will solve this problem. Have to implement this in WDDOMODIFYVIEW method of the view. This thing works comrades enjoy...

    How do you output some debugging text from a script? I'm looking for the equivalent of <c:out> from JSTL. I would like to be able to output the value of a "#{variable}". Thanks.

    Isn't h:outputText sufficient? Furthermore, if you're using JSF 1.2 / JSTL 1.2 with unified EL, then c:out will also work for "JSF EL".

  • How to Output Rich Text Format.

    Hi everyone, i use a rich text editor called tiny mce in my web application. After i click the submit button the value inside the text area would be saved in my database including the HTML tags e.g. <i>Sample Report edited via Tiny MCE Rich Text Editor<i>. I need to output the text in a webuijsf static text component but the moment i see the output the tags are still there and the text is not in italics format. Does anyone know how to output it in static text with the design in it?

    It is not updated for more than 1 years and it is dropped by Sun and users were recommended to migrate to ICEfaces.
    [http://woodstock.dev.java.net]
    The Woodstock release 4.2 is the last official version of Woodstock that Sun will release. Sun will continue to support its customers that have built on top of Woodstock 4.2. The Project Woodstock code is still available, and community members can still create new features or enhancements. For future development or migration of existing Woodstock projects, Sun is officially endorsing ICEfaces as the replacement technology for Woodstock. Also see [http://www.nabble.com/Woodstock-Migration-Path-to-ICEfaces-td21057513.html], although I would recommend RichFaces above that. It is only that it doesn't have a drag'n'drop palette for Netbeans, so it is not reachable for blind visual developers.

  • How to output a query results into a text file

    How to output a query results into a text file instead of outputing it to the screen..
    is there a way for us to write a SQL query which specifies to output the query results to a text file.
    Pls let me know how to do it
    Thanking u in advance
    regards
    Muraly

    Muraly,
    If you are using SQL*Plus 8.1.6 or later, you can also spool output to a file in HTML format, eg
    SET MARKUP HTML ON SPOOL ON PREFORMAT OFF ENTMAP ON
    SPOOL c:\temp\report.html
    SELECT DEPARTMENT_NAME, CITY
    FROM EMP_DETAILS_VIEW
    WHERE SALARY>12000;
    SPOOL OFF
    SET MARKUP HTML ENTMAP OFF
    In iSQL*Plus 9.0.1 (the browser-based interface to SQL*Plus) onwards, you can also send the HTML output to a new web browser window, or an html file -- much easier than the command line method.

  • How to change column "Date" from "Text" to "Date-Time" in Document Library.

    How to change column name "Date" from "Single line of Text" to "Date and Time" in Document Library.

    Hi,
    If you would change column type, you might need to re-create column.
    If you would like a text column to display in date format, you could refer to the links below:
