How to Output Rich Text Format.

Hi everyone, i use a rich text editor called tiny mce in my web application. After i click the submit button the value inside the text area would be saved in my database including the HTML tags e.g. Sample Report edited via Tiny MCE Rich Text Editor. I need to output the text in a webuijsf static text component but the moment i see the output the tags are still there and the text is not in italics format. Does anyone know how to output it in static text with the design in it?

It is not updated for more than 1 years and it is dropped by Sun and users were recommended to migrate to ICEfaces.

BI Publisher Rich Text formatted output

Dear All,
we are using BIP11g and we want show Rich Text formatted values in PDf output.
this Rich Text formatted data is stored in oracle database in CLOB data type feild.
Here is how it looks.

Currently BIP PDF output produce the text as is from the database.
How can i convert or process it to get the correct formatted text like above in output.

With Oracle BI Publisher 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.6) release you have support for HTML formatting in data..
Here is an excerpt from the report designer's guide.
Support for HTML Formatting in Data
You can now convert stored XHTML to XSL-FO to display the HTML formatting from your data in your generated report. The XHTML data must be extracted wrapped in a CDATA section. Specific syntax must also be used in the RTF template to render it.

How to change the output as text format in Apps R12.1.3

Hi All,
Currently iam trying to modify the Java Concurrent Program (FDExtractAndFormatting) in Batch Payment Process. This Program is generated in text format in 11i APPS. Now we are upgrading to R12.1.3. In R12.1.3 output is coming as PDF format. Here my requirement is how to change the output as text format in R12.1.3 also.
Please do the needful and suggest me.

1. It is seeded java concurrent program. Some attributes are missing from 11i to R12. In 11i it is a text format.So i have to investgate on how to retrive those attributes in R12. What is the concurrent program name?
Have you tried to change the output and submit the request?
2. Once all are attributes are coming in PDF format. Client wants to open same output in text format as it is 11i (In R12 it is generated in PDF format).If the above does not help, please log a SR.

i created pdf form in livecycle.i am populating this pdf form and submit.when i am submiting form ,i will get the data in xfa(xml forms architecture).now i want to import this xml to indesign.when i importing this xml to indesign,it imported without rich text format.this means in indesign formate is not preserved when importing xfa(xml forms architecture).
how to import xfa(XML Forms Architecture) to indesign without losing rich text format.

I really have no idea what kind of file that is and how is the structure, but if it´s valid XML, I guess you could use InDesigns Tags to Styles mapping engine to format incoming stuff....

Default file associations and RTF (rich text format)

I use pop3 email accounts for work.
I receive daily emails with .rtf (rich text format) file attachments.
When I open the emails, the attachments are listed.
I touch to open and QuickOffice loads to open them.
According to the QuickOffice website, QuickOffice does not support rtf files.. and it certainly does error on them. Why does QuickOffice open at all? I do not need any of its functions except the one it doesn’t have.
I have installed at present, this list of file managers.
Android’s default file manager
OI File Manager
Astro file manager
Cool reader
All of these applications support rtf files.
How do I set the file association for rtf files to an application which supports them?

Forms calling a rich text format (.rtf) file

Good day!
Suppose I made up a report from oracle forms then used the options 'generate to file' > XML.
Uses Microsoft Word 2010 with an add-ins 'Oracle BI Publisher' and make designs in my report then save it to .rtf (Rich Text Format).
My question is how can I call my reports and display it using oracle forms?

RTF files must be feeded by XML.
Your answer is not just that simple. Besides, I've search for it already.
Maybe my question to you is, is that possible?

Changing text size in form field (rich text formatting enabled)

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I've created an interactive PDF with form fields with "Rich Text Formatting" enabled.
My client has filled in the fields and would like to make the text bigger. When right-click, there are only options to change the text style (bold, italics etc) but nothing to change the text size. I'm not keen on disabling and then re-enabling the "Rich Text Formatting" options as the text have been formatted (bold, italics, superscript, subscript etc) and approved, and this will remove all the existing formatting.
Can anyone help?

Strangely enough, I found the Form Field Text Properties dialogue box by randomly choosing "Hyperlink" in the right-click options. Who would have thought!

Reading Word attachments (with Rich Text Format) in Mail

I have difficulty opening "Word email attachments" that contain "Rich Text Format" using my ipod touch under the MAIL function. For normal Word documents, I have no issue at all. Can anyone help here? Thank you.

RTF contains alot of extra formatting junk that you need to be aware of, depends what you want to do with the files afte reading them in but JAVA has its own RTF parser standard. Be warned its not full proof.....

I attached a SubVI which I used to place an overlay next to a Pattern, found by a Pattern Match before:
As you can see, you simply pass the image reference and the Array of Matches to the VI along with the String you want to have as an overlay next to the Match.
I also modified your VI a bit, but didn't test it. I created an Array of clusters, each elment containing the template path along with the respective text.
Please note that this is just a hint!

Using Rich Text Formatting Tools for Email Message Text Box in Webdynpro.

Hi All,
I would like to know whether WebDynpro provides a feature of including the Rich Text Formatting Tools (like Font, FontSize, Spell check .....) inside a Text Box.
I need to allow the user to format/indent text inside the Email message box, before sending the Email.
Is ABAP/Java Webdynpro providing us the above feature currently?

As far as I'm aware, java can put text in any font to an RTF file as long as that font is available on your machine.

ok so basically you have a swing application (windows based application).
Now in this application you have some JTextFields which you are puting some text in (am I right so far?)
If I am right, then what you have to do is persist (save) the text in those JTextFields (you can decide what to save this text into, this can be a database, xml file, properties file, ... I think it is a database however).
Now, then you have to develop a web application (I sugest you take a look at JSP, Struts, Spring etc). Your web application will then connect to the same data, and display those values in FireFox, Internet Explorer or any other browser.
Now this is nothing that can be made in a day or two (unless you are a very experianced programmer). I know I can't

I think you have to use floating filed.
Click inside the Static Text object in which you want to place the floating Text Field object.
Place your cursor on the line where you want Designer to insert the floating Text Field object.
Select Insert > Floating Field( from designer memu).
To set the properties of the Floating Field, click the Floating Field marker inside the Static Text object, and then select options as needed. It is good practice to rename the floating Text Field object and specify the necessary binding.
in your case you have use 2 fileds , 1 for description , 1 for text.for 2nd field make bold in the properties.
static text, description and text fields should be in subform.
Inside static text filed,after binding it will appera as below.

Is it possible to have a text field have both auto font resizing and rich text format?

I am trying to make a field so I can bold or italicize within, but still have the capability to add as much text as I want with the font size getting small so that it all fits in the field. It seems I can have the auto resize OR the Rich Text, but not both. Is there a way around this?

You can't? Just to give you some context, I work as a graphic designer, I'm creating for the first time an iBook for a client and I have quite a few examples already.
A couple of vague examples:
- Imagine a diagonal animation from the bottom left corner to the top right corner of the page. I could do this with keynote or html, for example. Now imagine you want some text floating at the top left and bottom right corner.
I wont get into details, but the fact the animation is "cutting" through the text is very much relevant to the context.
- A page with a bold white title, a strong photographic lowkey background and some kind of interaction of top of it.
- A page with a keynote widget occupying almost the entire area, and a title in text format (that would superpose with they keynote but not with its graphics)
- etc etc
These are all impossible scenarios.
The actual interaction with text/images and interactive elements is nonexistent.
But I understand now that the interactive bits of the book must be separated from the other content - its context -which is a shame. And I understand it's not a bug, from what you say. The iBA interface shows the book like a PFD export, in a way, as well as the thumbnails at the Table of Contents, were all the text is visible. The actual pages have a different behaviour.
