How to pass session variables as a parameters for the procedure

hi all gurus
i have created one procedure,it contains user information (usrname ,password(it is encrypted)) and it returns true or false
if this value is true i want to allow the user to login other wise i don't want to login the use into dashboard
how can i achieve this ???
my procedure name is E_t_A_P it returns true(1) false(0)
if i get 1 then user can see the dashboard
other wise not
what are the steps i have to follow to achieve this task
please help me out

what we are doing means
we are using encrypted passwords in the back end ,so whenever user enter with theirs user name and password ,from initialization box we can call this function
like select function_Name(':USER',':PASSWORD') from dual from this we can call the back end function ,there decryption and encryption process will be done
and that function returns 1 or 0 as out put
based on this result we have to provide the authentication , i mean if it returns 1 then user can login other wise user is not
can you help me out
other wise do u have any ideas to full fill this requirement ?

Issue:
When I run the URL above with parameter EXPIRED, the report still shows for ACTIVE only. The URL is not making any difference with report.
Report is picking the default value from RPD session variable init query.

How to pass session variables via the URL in CF10?

Hi
I have a client with some old Flash functionality (AS2). The SWF allows the user to upload an image. However a new session is being started when the upload script is called. I have added the CFID, CFTOKEN and JSESSIONID to the URL as I did in the past to maintain the session but I believe you cannot do this anymore with CF10, if this is correct can anyone point me in the right direction of how I would accomplish maintaining the session for the upload?

How to pass value to some view parameters for a nested combo, on load ? 11g

Hi, I have a requirement for to do two combos, in a master-detail relationship.
The first one it's a very simple combo, a simple query in DB, so far so good. The second one depends on first and depends either from the username, that I get from a Payload binding (two parameters in where clause).
In the first activity on my flow it's work very well. The user chooses the "idMaster", a valueChangeListener event runs an ExecuteWithParams OperationBinding and fills up the nested combo.
But, I've tried in some many ways to fill both combos and bring in their previously selected values, in the next task, but until now I'm not able to do that. I believe that I have to, somehow, call ExecuteWithParams before setting the defaut value. It's this the correct approach ? I tried it on managed bean constructor, but it not works.
So, how can I call a VO, passing parameters values into it, fill this nested combo, and set this pre-selected value, before pages load?
Any ideias?

Passing Session Variable from PHP to Applet

I'm trying to pass a session variable from a PHP script to a third party applet. The applet needs to accept the variable as a string into a parameter. I think the htnl has to be dynamically created to turn the session variable into a string for the parameter value. Any suggestions ?

How do I pass in variables or startup arguments using the command line when starting an ActionScript native app? For example, I have my app call MySweetWidget and it has been compiled with Adobe AIR captive runtime so now I have MySweetWidget.exe.
In the command line, I am calling MySweetWidget.exe and would like to pass in variables or properties to the application. I would assume that those variables are then read from the loaderInfo.parameters object.
Please let me know if the Adobe AIR runtime supports passing in parameters to the native runtime. If so, I would like help determining the correct format of how to pass in the variables. Then would you read those from the loaderinfo.parameters object?

I found the answer to my own question:
Yes it is a supported feature. It is documented on the following page:

When you subscribe to the invoke event of the NativeApplication it will subsequently dispatch the event and you read the e.arguments Array object to get the startup arguments passed into the native application.

During 1 session, 1 ODI variable can have only 1 value at a time.
If you need more than 1 value, you will have to do somethink like a loop inside your package, and refresh the variable value each time.

Yeah I got the pop up asking to select the variables used, I have selected ENTITY_ID that was used by the interfaces, but on execution of the package the Scenario did not work as the passeed variable #ENTITY_ID is set to 0 instead of the value I am passing.
Am I missing something?

Can you guys please help me in passing session variable of DATE data type in RPD's physical layer 'opaque view' filter for Oracle database
I tried following syntax, syntax wise I didn't got getting any error, but at the same time this opaque view is not fetching any records as well. my session variable is "END_DATE" and its value is 1998/12/31:00:00:00(as shown in RPD session windows, datatype is DATETIME)

How to pass bean variable to resourceID for Document Explorer ?

Hello experts, I have added WebCenter document explorer task flow in my ADF which as parameter called resourceId. I want to pass bean variable to this parameter since the Content IDs (doc Name or Ids) are decided dynamically.
When I provide ${'UCM57Server#dDocName:1379596941565_CONTACT_OPTREGI'} as resourceId in the expression, it is working very fine. But samething if I assign to a bean variable and assign bean variable as ${sessionScope.MyBean.docName}, it is evaluating the bean variable as ${'UCM57Server#dDocName:1379596941565_CONTACT_OPTREGI'} and then throws below exception :

Document explorer is not the way to go in order to view multiple documents of your choice, the Resource ID field is just a starting path. Check this link for all parameters about Documents Explorer
If you want to view multiple documents, you should use Content Presenter and specify the query that these documents falls under. Check this link for add Documents Task Flows

No i manage the language of WebDynpro myself, with tables from R3.
I wanna do only a thing like HTTP SESSION variable from the WEB.
I could do it, using java function of servlet, but i don't wanna use third packege out of WebDynpro FRAMEWORK.
The isn't an OBJECT CLASS STANDARD od WebDynpro that do that?
I wanna PERMANENT variable from a WebDynpro to another.
It is an implicit variable passage.

Error while passing ODI variable in JNDI Url for JMS Queue XML

Hi,
Facing a weird problem while passing ODI variable in JNDI Url for JMS Queue XML.
Below is the JNDI Url configured under ODI Topology:
JNDI Url: t3://<host_location>?d=#TEST.SCHEMA_FILE&s=<schema_name>&JMS_DESTINATION=jms/<queue_name>
where,
#TEST.SCHEMA_FILE --> ODI variable storing xsd name and location
Issue Description:
If we restart ODI server then for the first run of any ODI interface using JMS Queue XML, it is unable to get the value for ODI variable present in JNDI Url (d=#TEST.SCHEMA_FILE).
It throws error message saying: No XSD found
Temporary Resolution:
As a temporary fix if we hard-code and pass the value in that ODI variable as shown below, it will successfully go through.
eg: JNDI Url: t3://<host_location>?d=C:\XSD\test.xsd&s=<schema_name>&JMS_DESTINATION=jms/<queue_name>
Reverting it back to variable later will have no issues and subsequent run will succeed.
But again anytime later if server is restarted then first run will have this issue.
Want to have permanent fix for it.
Any one having idea on it please share. Appreciate your help!

What ODI version are you using? It could be related to the bug in the older version as described in support note Doc ID 1290326.1

How to pass custom search help(F4 help) for a field in ALV output?

I want to activate the F4 help in ALV output for a field for which we do not have search help assigned at table ,data element and domain level.
In field catalog i have enabled it by below line.
ls_fcat-F4AVAILABL = 'X'.
but because there are no standard input help available it is giving message as "No input help is available".
so how to pass our custom search help (g_search) for any field in ALV output.
I am using object oriented ALV grid display.

How to adjust mouse or trackpad parameters for the user selection screen?

This is not critical, but annoying. I can change the mouse or trackpad parameters by user, so anyone can use their own mouse or trackpad adjustment. However I can not locate how to change this parameters for the welcome or user selection screen. In my case I have two users, both of us use the trackpad with the one touch for click function, so no one press physically the trackpad for a click. However, as the default parameter is the touch function deactivated we have to actually click the trackpad in that exclusive screen.
Another example with mouse, normally we use the mouse with almost double of the default acceleration, but when in the user selection screen the mouse assumes default configuration and feels super SLOWWWWWWW.
Again, this is not critical, but would be very nice to be able to modify this parameters in the welcome screen.

For the login screen, you are not associated with a normal user, but the system defaults...try logging in to the Admn account and change the behavior there...those settings should then apply to the login screen.
