How to pass tabular report col reference in the onChange event of Txtfield

Hi there
I need to have Onchange event on Textfield Item.
Whenever i change the text field value, the new value should go to particular column in my
tabular report.
So in the onchange event, i have to pass the tabular report column (target field) along with textfield value (this.value)
something like this:
onChange="javascript:changeColVal(this,rowid);"
I have no clue how to pass row id / particular column of tabular report in textfield.
Any pointers on this would be of great help.

Application highlights the row whenever we move up/down or click the row.
Here, i've NOTES in tabular report and Comments "text field" in separate HTML region.
Whenever i type/update comments in textfeild, it should goto Notes column in Tabular report.
so that when we move up/down the tabular report rows, it should show corresponding Notes in Comments text field.
Approach i've took:
1) Created a function hiliterow, that highlights the row clicked/move up or down and
also displays the Notes Column of Tabular report into Comments Textfield.
(this is to display Notes if already avail to that particular row, otherwise Null)
2) Function passValues would assign the value we type in Comments Text field to
Notes column of Tabular Report. (as of now, this is happening only when we click on that particular row after key-in the value in Comments txtfield,
but this should happen when onChange event on comment textfield)
3) In MoveupDown function, i'm refering the current row in var r. so i tought to have global var to hold current row, so that i can
refer the same row in Onchange Event of Textfield. But this fails (please refer NotesToRow function)
My requirement is to pass the Comments text field value to Tabular report when onChange event on Comments Text feild happens.
I'm helpless in passing row reference to onChange function.
Any pointer on this would be of immense help.

State machine custom task workflow how to pass one task field value to the next task field

i am using ItemMetadata.xml to pass value from list to custom task first value its passing the but second value is showing as null
plus how to pass one custom task value to the next custom task
i.e one supervisor approver comments submitted field i want to see on department manager approval custom task which is the next approver from supervisor

What type of workflow is this? IS this Visual Studio or SharePOint designer or third party (K2, Nintex, etc...)? YOu should be able to get ahold of the task that was edited via the correlation token, and then grab any value you want from that
task (wether it be a custom field or a standard worfklow task field).
It would help to know what you are using to build the workflow.

How to refresh the Expired Login Form on the onChange event of the password

In the Expired Login Form I have places a custom label. My requirement is that on the onchange event of the password field the label color should change to orange if the entered password meets the password policy else red.

And on the password field i gave following in the onChange event:

But the above command is not refreshing the page. Instead on the onChange event its going back to the login.jsp.

    <%}       basically first time user visit the jsp page session attribute "afterSet" will be null so it wont create the hidden iframe tag . after it dispatched to the servlet controller and successfully processing the record it will set "afterSet" properties to some value and dispatch to itself
after that it will popup/dialog box for user to save the pdf.
this way the page already refreshes itself and wont have problem double clicking thing and so on

I encountered a similar problem when finally (and with much regret) I was obliged to migrate my MobileMe to iCloud last month.
Many years of iCal history vanished without trace during this automated transition by Apple and iCloud then kindly synched the resulting vacuum back to iCal on my Mac.
Fortunately, iCloud wasn’t able to decimate iCal on my other Macs because (1) they are still running Snow and (2) I had switched them off as a precaution. Good job I did.
My solution was to export my iCal data on one of those other Macs to a backup file – then I imported that backup file into my Lion-updated Mac’s iCal. That restored all the iCloud-deleted iCal data back on to my Mac and this was promptly synched automatically to my Calendar on iCloud. So now it’s all there and showing.
Perhaps you could do something similar? In the meantime, be very careful not to let iCloud’s amnesia get synched to your iPhone (and other devices).
Experience has taught me never to trust an “upgrade” until it is proven to be working correctly and always to keep in reserve another Mac with a properly-functioning system and all synching to it switched off...

How to pass a report value to an external website URL??

Hello,
Clicking on one of the fields in a report needs to take me to an external website and should pass the value of the field to the URL
Example:
1. Let's assume external site is http://www.abc.com
2. The values in a column in my report range from 1 to 1000.
3. When I click on say value 21 in my report, the URL formed should be http://www.abc.com/21 and should open in a new browser. Similary, when I click on value 994 in my report, the URL should be http://www.abc.com/994
Note: I have created reports before and linked them(passed parameters) sucessfully to other objects(forms,reports) etc.. But, haven't passed parameters to external websites before!
Would really appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction.

How to get a report "closed" when using the ReportViewerBean

I read the article /people/ted.ueda/blog/2008/12/20/crystal-reports-for-eclipse--ensuring-report-cleanup from Ted Ueda regarding cleaning up reports for the RAS server. However, I'm trying to figure out how to get this accomplished for a thick client accessing a local rpt file and then displaying that file using the ReportViewerBean. I can't seem to get the report closed. I tried the dispose() techniqe from the article, but with no success.
My basic process is:
1) Press button on main frame to open and set up report
2) Pass open report (via ReportClientDocument) object to the viewer frame class (which views report in separate window using ReportViewerBean)
3) Close viewer window when done, destroy ReportVieweBean and close ReportClientDocument
4) Press button again on main frame later to view report
If I set up the report but skip the step of sending the report to the viewer frame, ReportClientDocument.isOpen() will go from true to false after I execute just the ReportDocumentClient.close() command. However, if open the viewer frame, I cannot get the report closed.
In the window closing event for my viewer window I have:

The webservices you are trying to use are not the ones used for enterprise, they are used for non-enterprise applications accessing reports that are stored in a specific location on the web server.

How to pass a command line argument to the sequence?

My GUI is written in VB.NET. I can read the command line argument in the GUI, using: Me.AxApplicationMgr.CommandLineArguments(). But I don't know how to pass it on to my sequence file which the GUI invokes. How do I read the command line argument from the sequence file?
My purpose, is to have the same basic sequence execute different subsequences depending on starting conditions...
I am using TestStand 3.0 with a VB.NET GUI, on Windows XP.
I'd appreciate any help on the subject.

Hi Alan,
One obvious way would be to add parameter(s) to the MainSequence and then modify the process model sequence file to use the new parameter(s) in the step "MainSequence Callback" in either Single Pass or Test UUTs but I wouldn't recommend this approach.
The sequence file to be run via the entry point can be found at "RunState.ProcessModelClient" and the lookup string to the MainSequence would be "RunState.ProcessModelClient.Data.Seq["MainSequence"] or .Seq[0] .
Therefore you could quite easy use the SetVal method to setup a Local variable in the MainSequence of your Sequence File to receive the command line string.
Also you could do this without altering the Process Model Sequence File by using the Callback Sequence ProcessSetup in your Sequence File.
As an example.
You have a string in your Locals of MainSequence called CmdLineStr.
If you add the Callback Sequence ProcessSetup to your SequenceFile, then add an ActiveX Automation Adapter step which is setup for a PropertyObject and the reference is RunState.Caller.RunState.ProcessModel.Data.Seq[0].Locals.CmdLineStr.
There is an extra RunState.Caller to the lookup string, that's because I am doing the work in a SubSequence of Entry Point Sequence.
The method to use is SetValString and the parameters of the PropertyObject will be
lookupString = ""
options = 0 or 1
newValue = where evey you have stored you command line string.
Now when you run your sequence file you will find that the Locals.CmdLineStr will contain your parameter string.

For all reports and transactions execution info is stored in table MONI.
Read the System log using the Transaction SM21. may be you can find some info here.
U can use trx STAT, here the system stores the statistic only for a certain period (lst week, last month,...).
Also try stad transaction.

But it always return those items whose "Title" value is "Arup". It is not returned any items whose "Title" is "Ratan".

Hi DH, sorry for not being clear.
It works when I create the connection from that web part that you want to be connected with the Query String Filter Web part. So let's say you created a web part page. Then you could connect a parameterized Excel Workbook to an Excel Web Access Web Part
(or a Performance Point Dashboard etc.) and you insert it into your page and add
a Query String Filter Web Part . Then you can connect them by editing the Query String Filter Web Part but also by editing the Excel Web Access Web Part. And only when I created from the latter it worked
with multiple values for one parameter. If you have any more questions let me know. See you, Ingo

How to pass values to be displayed on the report?

I have an ASP.Net page that has values from the user that needs to be displayed in the page header of the report. Those values need to be passed to the report.
I am using Crystal Reports 2011. The code behind for ASP.Net page is written in VB.Net.
I had thought of using Parameter fields in the report and using the SetParameterValue method of ReportDocument but I am not familiar with using Parameter fields.
How to set up the report to do this?

DJ has some very good suggestions, but the first thing we want to do is to make sure the report works in the designer as you want it to. Reading this thread, I'm a bit unsure if the report does actually work in the designer - can you please comment on that?
If it does, I like to go from simple as far as coding is concerned. In this case, that would mean not worrying about the parameters or logon and let the report engine do the heavy lifting for us:
Create a new project. Throw a CR viewer on a form and add one line of code in page load:
CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = <path to the report>
The engine will prompt for the db logon as well as the parameters. Fill those out. The report should then display on the screen.
From here we can get fancy and add DB logon code as well as the parameter code.
