How to pass the FORM Fields value by Form Personalization
Hi ALL,
I want to pass form filds values in to procedure. I am calling this procedure through form personalization of that form..... But it's not accepting any form field's value there... when i am passing hardcoded vales procedure is executing fine...
can any one suggest what to do???
i tried with these syntax
TEST_EMP_FP(:ADDR.ADDRESS_ID,'ABC')
TEST_EMP_FP(${item.ADDR.ADDRESS_ID.value},'ABC')

Iam calling an SRS from forms personlization. Can any body tell me how to pass the Form field values as parameters to the Reports. (Example when they call this Concurrent request from Transact5ions screen, The invoice number should be defaulted in the report parameter).

task (wether it be a custom field or a standard worfklow task field).
It would help to know what you are using to build the workflow.

Since you're on 9i some available functionality unfortunatly isn't at your disposal.
This should work, however, using your sample data:

How to validate the incoming field value and raise an alert message
Dear all,
I have the following structure
If incoming value for the field externalid is empty then i have to raise a alert message to end user "externalid field is empty for the id : id number" and for all incoming values it should work. I used the following udf on field externalid with two arguments
if(externalid.equals(""))
throw new RuntimeException("externalid field empty for the following id : " +id);
else
return externalid;
This is working fine for single record. But for many records(multiple occurences), this logic is not working as if records 2 and 3 fails it is showing exception externalid field is empty for the id : record 2.
how to achieve the tranformation logic ?

No node is creating for success records, instead it throws exception that "externalid field is missing for the id": id for empty externalid field value in second record.
But my requirement is..... when i process 50 records, records with missing value for field externalid should raise an alert message to end user intimating him to check the externalid field for particular id. If the value for externalid field is present in incoming record/payload, then it should be passed to target system.
How can i implement this logic ?

and I am assigning this variable to a hidden property in JSP whic has the corresponding getter an setter method in form.
But I am not able to retrtieve the value assigned in either form/action .can any body help me in this:

Setting an unrelated variable will not help.

also your get/set methods should be getO() and setO(). -

How to pass the bind variable value to the sql statement of the LOV
Hi,
I am using Forms 10g builder.
I have a text item which will be populated by a LOV when i press a button, but i have a bind variable in the SQL statement of the LOV. That bind variable should be replaced by a value which is derived from a radio group in the same data block.
For Ex: ( )radio1 ( )radio2
before i click on the push button, I'll select one of the radio button above,so my question is how to assign this radio group value to the bind variable in the sql statement in the LOV?

WebDynpro - How to pass a single field value to BAPI table?

I have just come from WebDynpro ABAP training and being a novice hit my first issue right away.
I need to use BAPI - BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATEFROMDATA to create SD contract (I have used this BAPI to create a service call inside Webdynpro). I have two required fields: contract start and end dates. These fields passed in a table called CONTRACT_DATA_IN.
When I use the fields from the structures or individual fields, all I need to do is just put them on the view, and when I hit my submit button they will be passed to the BAPI. They are a part of COMPONENTCONTROLLER context (I have also mapped them in View context), but tables are obviously different.
Is there any way to pass data to tables as seamlessly without any code as for structures? Or do I need to write code to get the values from the input fields and then populate the table manually?

Single customer contract creation use the struture-
If you want to pass only one record then using the input fields for those 2 fields we can pass them to BAPI and then create the Customer Contract. This will work for only one record of customer contract.
then we can directly read these input fields and pass to BAPI.
Creating many customer contracts -
For example, If you want to provide the group of records at a time and then you want to create the cusotmer contracts for so many records then you fill these fields and pass them to table then pass this table to the tables parameters of that BAPI.
Here we need not create the Table UI element separate input fields would serve the purpose.
Now we can create the batch of contracts for N customers.
these input fields of a customer will be passed to table, then next set of input fields etc.
For this create the Table UI element and fill all the records and then pass it to the Tables of the BAPI.

How to pass the check box values from one view to another view
Hi Experts,
I have a selection screen view which consists of check boxes.
WBS System status.
Release Completed Closed as 3 check boxes.
Note : The above ones are check boxes.
Based on the selection made by the user, those values needs to be passed to second view which retrieves the data and
displays the data accordingly.
At the same time if the user does not make any selection, then WBS System status should contain Released, Completed and Closed values and that needs to be sent to Second view.

make a attribute of type WDY_BOOLEAN to achieve this functionality
u need to follow these steps :
1 in side ur component controller , under the ATTRIBUTES tab , make 3 attributes say attr1 , attr2 and attr3 of type WDY_BOOLEAN
2 create a context node , cn_check and 3 context attribute ca_check1 , ca_check2 and ca_check3 in ur first view for
release , complete and close check boxes
3 inside the DOINIT of ur 1st view , set the attributes attr1 , attr2 and attr3 to blank

I'm afraid that's not possible as form fields in a PDF file have no equivalent either in a Word format (.docx/.doc) or within the Rich Text Format (.rtf). That data is simply stripped during the conversion as there's no equivalent available.

How to save the own fields value in a Database

We create some customers fields with eewb fields for Service Order, but the value we enter in it, are not saved into the database table CRMD_ORDERADM_H.
Where and what we have to do to commit the values in the database?
We are working with CRM2007 WEB UI.

If yes, then check the structure of context node BTAdminH in TX GENIL_MODEL_BROWSER.
If the fields popup in both, then everything with the EEWB should have worked fine.
The EEWB creates an include structure for the table. This structure is also include in all API (like the CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN). Additionally it creates function modules that are called by the API and handle the additional fields. Thus you do not have to do any additional commit or coding.
In case everything is in place and it does not work, you should probably open an OSS. Otherwise let the wizard in the EEWB create the extension again.

I have an invoice number. How can I find out (from which tables and fields) the ship date, vessel, port of loading, port of discharge. I think it is VTTK table and fields are datbg, text1, add01 and add02, but if so what should I give in VTTK table to get these values?

For ship date you can find the data in LIKP table itself. All other details like vessel, port of laoding and port of discharge will be found at the shipping point level.
Select the delivery number in VL03n and from the menu GOTOITEMSHIPMENT you will find the shipping point details.
